yes I am. our experience in the music industry was interesting to say the least. However we were never really given the impressgion (by our management/record co.) that we were any good. Pretty hard to understand with all the hard work we invested.
Say it again!!! People say that Ciara was inspired by Janet Jackson , Which is true, But that footwork and body worming is 357, To me👍! They definitely are due their props!!
These ladies could dress and dance their asses off! I swore I was Sweet LD and my cousin thougth she was Turbo T 😂 we used to mimic their dances on Juke Box. I'd pay a million dollars to go back to that moment 😢
These girls jamming. This is real dancing! Wow everything natural! No fake booties and no fake well you know! These kids think they doing something new!
When songs like this came on back in the day, you could forget about your outfit all pressed and dry, and all that hairspray holding your hair together. They used to make you get STOOOPID on the dance floor, and I swear I would burn 3000 calories by the end of the night. Girls would smell like melted hairspray, and their makeup would be down their faces and on their clothes from all the sweat 😂😂😂. They were the good ‘ol days, and I swear your soul would jump out from dancing so hard. We were able to fully express ourselves through dance because the songs were so upbeat and fast and fast. Plus, those were the days of the dance fads like the running man, the kid & play, the cabbage patch, the Wop, plus anything that MC Hammer did. You’d ALWAYS leave the dance floor in a good mood. I’m grateful I was alive to experience it.
Yeah , They definitely the best duo to ever grace the game👍🔥💥!!!! Nobody touched their moves yet!!!! Except Ciara💥!!!! As far as being out of breath, I'll need a ventilator by the time this song ends🤕🤐💫, Used to dance to ot all the way thru, But now??!!!!🚑🏥🛌!!!
What i use to love about this group "besides the great moves" was the fact they kept it LIVE without being too sexy or too hard. A perfect balance that hasn't been mastered in long minute.
Facts, because there's no need to be Sukihana, Sexy Redd, Lil Kim, Foxxy Brown. Queen Latifah, Monie Love, MC Lyte, Oaktown 357, Heather B, Jean Grae and other female MC's like them got it done without being sexually explicit.
This Banger definitely goes down as a 'Jukebox' Classic and to those who are wondering what a Jukebox is, if ya know, ya know!!! (Hint: You had to live in this group's era to really know!!) #Oaktowns3574EVA 🔥
You ain't lyin'! I remember when "Let's Get It Started" dropped...as SOON as that came on we were adjusting our clothes and pulling up our sleeves getting ready....EVERYBODY. It happened at every party. Fast Forward to "Pumps"....years later...SAME effect.
Love this but Everytime I see this I think of Tommy Davidson dancing and falling off the stage and getting tangled up in his hammer pants !! In iving color!!
Probably the baddest music female group when it comes to dancing. Beoncye don't have nothing on Oaktown 357 dancing!! Tight precision dancing to the max!
WOW, really! They sent shout outs to us? That is so funny. I had no idea. I feel this is so sad. I really wish Tabatha and I had known better. We have been blindsided in so many ways. I am grateful for "now". I am happy for all that I am finding out now. You are right we have to "re-surface", but doing it better. I am going to need all the help I can get and I thank you for the offer. I will let you know. U R Awesome!
leo cannon Benito ? I think he had an album years after the Hammer empire crumbled, not sure if anything charted, I bought a single with snippets of the album I remember being dissapointed and not liking any of it, I was younger then so maybe I might like the sound today. I think he is a politician now or something...
I was deejaying the clubs in the late 80s/early 90s. I used to mix 2 Legit 2 Quit (Hammer) into I Don't Want to Lose Your Love (B Angie B) into this. Loved it!
When she did that pose at the end, I was like this is the baddest b---h on the planet. That short performance was just as significant as MJ s performance on Motown 25❤ (in my opinion)
Absolutely awesome. Totally agree with the positive comments here. When 357 came out with Juicy, yeah yeah, yeah, yeah and this JAM(We Like it) - the clubs in Denver were Jammin these songs. Real talk - good music and performances like these are missing in today's music. It's sad. But, thank goodness for youtube. I really hope these ladies are doing great and I wish them nothing but the best. Real entertainment, Oaktown 357 - hit me!
This brings back memories. Baker High School (Columbus, Ga) rocked this on the field during BHS' final football season before the merger. We did the thang'' Football season 1990!!!
Yup still rocking this jawn in 2019! Classic! 👍🏾 🎶 I feel like gettin’ loose, I wanna get loose. I feel like gettin’ looose, let me get loose! 🎶 💃🏾 💃🏾 They could dance their asses off; choreography was always the 💣! If only I could still get loose like that...those were the days 😁
yes I am. our experience in the music industry was interesting to say the least. However we were never really given the impressgion (by our management/record co.) that we were any good. Pretty hard to understand with all the hard work we invested.

wow you O.G. 's were way authentic back I was just thinking about this song to take my mind off of these crazy current events 🙏
I know all the words and moves from this since watching it when I was 15 on Pump It UP. The industry can break you but only you can make you.

Oaktown 357 was a underappreciated and underrated talent.
They danced their ass off on this video, Artist these days don't really dance anymore....
They sure did!
This was a time when women's bodies were natural and toned and it was ok to be yourself. I adored 357! They didn't get their just due!
Say it again!!! People say that Ciara was inspired by Janet Jackson , Which is true, But that footwork and body worming is 357, To me👍! They definitely are due their props!!

She's been my Facebook friend for some years now. She is hella cool. We talk a lot. I don't talk to Terrible T as much but I love them both..
These ladies could dress and dance their asses off! I swore I was Sweet LD and my cousin thougth she was Turbo T 😂 we used to mimic their dances on Juke Box. I'd pay a million dollars to go back to that moment 😢

Best girl duo ever!! I remember when I used to TRY these steps. Now I get exhausted by just watching them do it...Gee whiz!!
*lol! At about over 40 the same happens to me... No steps anymore...
Right😂
Yeah , They definitely the best duo to ever grace the game👍🔥💥!!!! Nobody touched their moves yet!!!! Except Ciara💥!!!! As far as being out of breath, I'll need a ventilator by the time this song ends🤕🤐💫, Used to dance to ot all the way thru, But now??!!!!🚑🏥🛌!!!
I STILL love this song 30 years later.
The fact that its 30 years old is insane but hell I just turned 50. 😂
One of my top favorite groups!!! The choreography is by far the best EVER!! 👑💚💖💎💘

This took me back to my childhood and simpler times. Big dude was like "WOOoOoOOO I wanna get loose!🎤" 👏👏👏👏

After all these years, the short guy is still hilarious.
when a MC Hammer joint came on in the club, everybody was dancing as hard as Hammer and OAKTOWN 357 and sweating bullets, LOL
Facts!

This song made me smile. Bought back so much good memories! When rap and dancing was it!!

Maaaaan! I knew all their video dance routines front, back, and sideways 😂
the album versions were the original, when they released the singles, they were always remixed and better than the album versions.
This vid is so much clearer than any other. Thanks for posting!
I was deejaying the clubs in the late 80s/early 90s. I used to mix 2 Legit 2 Quit (Hammer) into I Don't Want to Lose Your Love (B Angie B) into this. Loved it!

Back in 1990-1991 they used to play this video at LEAST 4 times a day on Channel 18 in PUERTO RICO!!! Man how time flies!!!!
Them girls was bad. Still my favorite dance group. Rap lyrics were overlooked because they definitely could rap as good as the S&P.💃🏾💜🙌🙏🏽
