What a fabulous-looking dry fly Vladimir !...great tip re: multi-wraps winding through the clumps of the snowshoe to strengthen and position the fur wing/s...I like using snowshoe wings quite often for dry-dropper/duo rig fishing on faster-flowing streams (CDC for slower stretches)...great video, thanks for sharing, all the best
Nice instruction and "wall" formation with thread control. If you are looking for content, a comparison between CDC and Snowshoe Hare for "wing" might be interesting (pros/cons of each). Thanks.

Ahoj Vladimir. Again you offer some good tying tips and a pattern that can be adapted into many different mayfly species. I’ll definitely be using the snowshoe wings on my Hendrickson and Sulfur flies. Keep ‘em coming. Dobru noc.
Damn brother you have skills ,a REAL TROUT TRICKER like myself,I've been tying and fishing for 34 years about to turn 41 this march.Im an electrical construction contractor so I'm Busy so busy but I tie at least 3 flies a night ,but your techniques are soo logical soo 💡💡!wish at some point we could tie together and share ages of secret tying techniques and patterns i live in the USA ,Pennsylvania ,your all the way across the pond if you ever travel to the states we need to hook up tie and fish together.keep up the great work brother
thanks so much. Same as you, i tie almost evey night. Thats the key to success. I am just a year older than you :) I would love to come and fish in US. But its pretty unlikely at the moment.
That was a wonderful lesson! You are making me a better tier! Thanks so much for taking time to teach and share! Did you say you are in China? All my best 🍻
these types of mylar wrapped flies (especially sow bugs) have been immensely successful in my local rivers, however I've noticed that the mylar always slides down the body, if I wrap it tighter it tends to stretch and discolor or whiten the mylar, if i add superglue to the underside it helps but then discolors the body, this can help, but I am not sure if it actually does, or if I'm imagining it. What can I do to keep the mylar in place? Thank you so much for your videos, they have been very very helpful in my learning =D
There is a "trick", i honestly dont bother but it is good to have options. Weap mylar around wire and use that as ribbing. Or simply dubb body softly so mylar bites deeper into dubbing. It will be slightly more durable
Thanks, i am trying to keep hands moist using creams. But fatty creams not those fancy hydrating ones :) . WInter is dry season here. My skin gets all broken and cracked, so i need to.
Vladimir, always appreciate your introspective approach to your tying....a characteristic that separates a good tyer from one of exception.
Thank you a lot for those kind words. I really appreciate it 🍻🍻

Glad to hear that you like it. I use dame logic for snowshoe vs cdc.....cdc is for slow water and picky fish. 🍻🍻
Good to see you using the whip finish tool.
It felt right. Especially since my hands got dry and skin cracked. :)

thank you and thank you. Content suggestion is very welcomed. I love your proposal. I will do it :)
Craig Mathews, the originator of the sparkle dun, has been doing the multi thread wraps thru the wing since he designed the fly. 👍
i didnt know that, thank you for that information.

Glad you like it. Its the style, exactly as you pointed out. Changing color and size makes so many different insects.
Excellent video
Thanks for the tips
Thank you a ton

Great tie, thanks.
Thanks for watching :)

All my best 🍻
Glad you say so. Thanks so much. Yes, China based serbian :)

Any tips for the dry hand issue? I struggle with silk snagging own my fingers and dubbing not gripping… lovely fly there

gloves would prevent me from having friction for applying dubbing
GOOD

thanks :)
How well does the snowshoe float compared to a similar amount of CDC?
Its pretty similar. Easier to maintain and rinse. Also on very slow water cdc is more readily taken by fish.
