I think you missed mayhem Devil. A 3/3 devil for 1BR which has: 'When ever a Player sacrifices a permanent, mayhem Devil Deals 1 damage to any target' It would fit perfectly into the strategies you already offered in this Video.
That's true but she's good for literal treasure tribal with like Revel in Riches and just inherently loves sacrifice triggers like Mayhem Devil and the Disciple/Marionette Master synergies.
@@justinjacobs1501 yes being able to make treasures and then turn them into creatures for sac fodder or just use them for chump blocking for eternity is definitely a good selling point. One good free sac outlet like Phyrexian Altar or Altar of Dementia with both Plunderer and Stimulus Package on the field is very deadly.
I agree. I could have missed a spoiled card by now, but so far I get the impression that since nature is so scarce in the city, green is resorting to treasure tokens in place of regular land ramp which is interesting, even if it’s risky for older formats to try and break.
So when treasure are used or whatever do they go into graveyard? Does it really trigger [Fangreen Marauder]? I always thought clues, treasure, food tokens just went poof and didn't go into graveyards.
This commander is going to be nuts with all of the new Treasure Token related cards with this set coming out. So much diplomatic power, let alone everything else
If you’re not going to build Vazi this way then there’s no point in building Vazi. It’s a real mob-boss theme, so play it like a mob boss. Control all the resources, punish people for tapping or playing lands, eventually destroy them all. You can even offer to put the counter on one of their own creatures for some added politics while you get the card draw.
What I see here is a Jund group hug, give people treasures and buff their creatures when they sacrifice said treasures (it just says ''target creature'', not ''target creature you control'').
play Vazi in the 99 of a deck with blue, have Staff of Domination and play Crafty Cutpurse, so long as you have made but not used 2 treasures that turn, you can just make as many treasures as you want! and oh yea, all of these steps can be done at instant speed, so you know, that whole revel in riches deal. keep a Spell Swindle on hand just in case someone wants to try and stop you.
Would be much better and not OP at all if it created a treasure on entry. At 5 mana for a 3/3 haste with an ability that does nothing by itself, it’s just not really that great.
Agreed. It takes way too much set up to get value off. Like if I’m dropping 5 mana on a commander, it should give value on its own, not require a ton of set up to make just decent.
i feel like its supposed to rely heavily and be put into ognis instead of have this as the commander especially since this has haste. still not the best design on its own unfortunately
These commanders in Capenna that benefit one of your opponents and you likewise are very interesting because they put emphasis on the political aspect of the format. However, I fear they will be way too weak in practice. Mind that everything that Vasi does is optional and entirely up to your opponent to decide. If they choose to not take advantage of the treasures, you won't neither. Then she is basically a 3/3 for five mana. Drawing a card for ramping your opponent is somewhat underwhelming as well. Frankly, for me, she costs at least two mana too much to be legit at all. Very unfortunate.
And if you want to be a total jerk, you can give people a bunch of treasures while you have a small Karn in play that just bricks all of the treasures, along with punishing them for having artifacts in play…
I hate to be that guy, but you cant play Powerleech because it's oracle text says that the artifact cant have the tap symbol in it's cost, and treasures have that cost.
It says:"whenever an artifact an opponent becomes tapped OR an opponent activates an artifacts abillity without {T} in its mana costs " Source:Scryfall So it still works, since the first condition ( artifact beingtapped) is there.
Sorry Mitch, I gotta unsub. When I first fell in love with this channel it was awesome budget deck techs. Now I just keep getting notifications for these spoilers… they aren’t witty and don’t take a lot of creativity. Just 15 minutes of you reading whatever card just got spoiled. Not what I signed up for.
All these new treasure cards make me want a Golden Pig treasure token 👑
That’s awesome! Wait does Mitch not have piggy bank treasure tokens yet?

Just a thought you could also run effects like mana barbs or wars toll to make people wanna use lands less and treasures more
I was about to say "So ig jund treasures are just the new archetype?" then I thought for a bit and remembered how long Korvold has been around
That's true but she's good for literal treasure tribal with like Revel in Riches and just inherently loves sacrifice triggers like Mayhem Devil and the Disciple/Marionette Master synergies.
I'm liking the new enchantment stimulus package. it's energizes very well with pityless plunderer.

I'd like to give a shout-out to the new card, Ruthless Technomancer for this commander.
Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest also likes this card
"Ah, yes! The Negotiator!"
good for politics, one opponent is not getting enough lands, give them treasures to help in return they can be your friend for a while during the game
Hellkite tyrant would be fun/rude. Give a bunch of treasure and steal it back XD
Can’t they just sacrifice?
@@eddiegaytan236 you're right, I forgot about that! Damn lol
@@eddiegaytan236 they sac, but if you have one of those enchantments out that punish them for cracking treasures, they're screwed either way 😎
Man WOTC is really going hard on the treasures in this set. I love treasure tokens but I feel like it's an easy mechanic to break.

The graveyard is the reason they go poof
*General Griveous voice* Ah yes, the negotiator
Absolutely love her. Building around her currently
Did someone say BRG Land Destruction Commander?
This commander is going to be nuts with all of the new Treasure Token related cards with this set coming out. So much diplomatic power, let alone everything else
Imagine someone giving their opponent treasures. Then they crack them to cast removal and a notion thief
I might put this in Yurlok
Jesus I'm just putting together a whole jund deck at this point from all the spoilers and your recommendations lol
Where did you see this, cause I can't find her.
Do cards like viridian revel work with tokens? I didn't think tokens entered the graveyard?
Yes they do, and then fizzle right away.
It's rude, but what if you made a land destruction deck with this commander and forced players to use the treasures you give them... Please dont
Evil evil evil. But creative, I'll give you that. Manabarbs basically does the same thing.

This is a Worst Fears or Mindslaver deck if ever seen one!
Brutal. Just brutal.
@@jlateralus21 just get an Eye of the Storm in play with a Cruel Entertainment, at that point, nobody will know whose turn it is 😈
wouldn't this work pretty well with land destruction?

I think they could sac in responses
Nice Ancient Runes

Generous Patron works well there. Save your treasures, play group hug, but then cast a red X burn spell to kill everyone unexpectedly 😎

The last six years have been about treasure. I hope this set won’t hyper exhaust the mechanic.
I have a old scrapped treasure deck, time to make jund treasures

Well, you probably would wait to cast it until your engine is set up. Does you no good sitting around as a target for a turn.

Facts. I don't understand why this commander costs 5 tbh
Bob+Bob=bob
Because nothing bad happens at all if you flood the opponent with mana. =P
This commander is definitely just a casual thing. There's no way it becomes strong
