School children have never been abducted in the southern part of the country. I haven't really seen very dense forests in some parts of the north that I've been to and that makes me wonder how military personnel trained on reconnaissance will fail to identify a cluster of that amount of humans with most of them wearing school uniform that is most likely colorful enough to stand out from the natural background of the forest. When you are on such a mission, you do low fly bys, you look out for anything that stands out from the natural environment. It's clear our military is either made up of rejects from boys scouts or they are very complicit. Imagine the military head of media saying they didn't get prior information before the attack and that the schools didn't notify them on time as if a dedicated emergency lines were given to identified soft targets.
Always on the defense when they should be on the attack, daily night time surveillance missions with helicopters or drones equipped with thermal imaging would have identified places in these forests where you have unsual human gathering and in the morning, they just go in and mop up this terrorist but they will just sit and wait till after this such incident when everything becomes complicated cos you can't just go in even after you identify their hideout, not when you have hostage that can be used as human shield.

The solution to the incessant kidnappings lies within political actions. The locals both village heads, residents, religious leaders, political leaders are collaborators.
