I just love this channel! I don't hunt or fish hear in L.A. but watching you all reminds me of my summer's in Texas being with my uncle's hunting and fishing with us riding in the back of their trucks...guns loaded with that fresh country wind slapping us in the face...and bugs getting in our mouths. lol....those were the best days of our lives but we didn't know it then.

Well what you do with that 300 lbs hog you kill in your yard great 👍 shot lot of hog meat there.
If it is legal I would catch a couple of them and put them in an above ground pool or something big enough to fatten them up and hopefully spawn so I’d have a constant supply of them.

I caught some huge blue gill, and shell cracker at Conroe lake, my hand wouldn't even fit around them, and I have big hands.. I have never seen gill that big

I use to use fly fishing rods like your using until they started making regular 8 9 10 12 foot regular fishing rods.
Good catches and fellowship. I use to try fishing the same spot my grandmother use to fish with her cane pole and got cussed out because I started catching fish in her spot 😂. Is there any peacock bass down in your area if I would like to see a video of you catching some.

I fish with a 9 foot rod and a 10 foot rod for steelhead and salmon. I use a 8 foot rod for blue gill and crappie and perch and pike.
You know their big when you have 'copper' faced, size.
