I didn't even know it was (Sunoco) blue!.. In the book by Yates, the picture is in black and white. So cool to finally see it.. Gotta visit the museum soon too.
Australia is too... But the penalties are worse for "dangerous driving" than they are for violent crimes. I have a modest collection of motorcycles, mostly Hondas, but I've also got all three of the big hypertourers from the magazines when I was 13... A Red '95 ZZR1100, a black '98 CBR1100xx SuperBlackbird, a the king of the big unrestricted weapons my gold and silver '99 GSX1300R Hayabusa. I almost never take them out anymore, I tend to chill and take my Valkyrie because if I get caught accidentally doing 30km/h over the limit, the bike will get impounded, I'll automatically lose my licence for a year and in Victoria where I live it's almost a guaranteed criminal conviction. And on those, you can easily be doing 160km/h and not even notice. The BlackBird especially doesn't like sitting below 140, she feels really high strung compared to my other bikes and it's just too tempting. I have taken them all up to their top speeds (the 'busa did a genuine 323ks, or just over 200mph and the BlackBird nudged 300) but I have a spot I can get away with it and had mates and my dad keep a lookout lol. If you get caught doing that, you're doing jail time down here. It's so bizarre we have such a strong bike and car culture here, some of the meanest cars in the world, but also some of the most heavily policed roads and strict penalties anywhere in the world. The idea of a cannonball run would be madness here, it's been done once but it'll never happen again. God bless America man. Sorry for the long response lol, kinda touched a nerve there. 😉
