It's funny because Ray of Light is my absolute favorite Madonna album. But I was kind of dreaming of the same thing. It would have been interesting if Madonna did the album with Patrick Leonard and the remix album was the album with William Orbit. But then again, that wouldn't have worked b/c the reason she worked with Orbit in the first place, was because she felt his sound was innovative for her (which it was) I mean the Frozen demo is great, but what made Frozen unique at the time was those slowly electrifying, reverbing, bleeping synths & those clamoring, clashing garbage can sounding drums, which is what Orbit brough (among other things I'm sure). Madonna working with Orbit on MDNA didn't capture the same sound. First off Madonna didn't bring strong demos to the album (like she did with ROL), she was more interested in her film. Also, I think one person that gets often overlooked is Marius DeVries. Sonically he brought that Bjork-type electronica to Ray of Light. I think Orbit gets too much credit b/c that sound is missing on Music. He wasn't involved with the Music album, so that component is missing.
@@mh9706 I never quite saw it this way "clashing garbage can sounding drums" but come to think of it. It kinda was that sound, together with the drum&bass drums. Did you know the song was lifted from a Belgian artist who played the song to Patrick Hernandez when he was visiting Belgium during the tour where Madonna was his backup dancer/lover? That's the reason the Celebration album came out in Belgium without the Frozen track :-)
All the stories behind all those tracks you have uploaded are really great. Are masterpieces all of them.
Thanx so much 🤝.
Would love it if she released the album she was working on with Pat Leonard before she worked with Orbit.
