A lot of guys I know as truck drivers have Iceco's and Indel B/Truck fridges. I really don't like the PRO series. The original VL series has real fridge seals. A friend who has a VL45 pro complains about Ice build up around the fridge rim. Everyone else that has the regular VL or Indel B series don't have that issue. And they are all ran as freezers.
Those cheaper Setpower's and the like. They tend to be all over the place as far as setpoint is concerned. Guys have bought them and are chucking them after 2-3 years of constant use.
My sister has the older VL60 and it's been doing great. I got it off a friend. He didn't want it anymore. The controller went out. My uncle who's a refrigeration guy. Replaced the compressor and controller. Just because. And she runs that dude hard now. I still think the metal lining is chincy in the Iceco's. I have a Snomaster and it has the same lining. But it's way thicker. And then it's coated. But it's a $1,600 dollar fridge.
I've had a plethora of these 12v fridges. Started my truck driving career with Ice chests and then moved up to 12v igloo and Coleman coolers. Then to a Dometic/WAECO cfx (Thats 13 years old and still pumping it's guts out). Then to a Indel B TB51, Then to a Dometic CFX3 55. And then my girlfriend took a CFX3 25 away from me. Then she bought me two Engel MT45's. And then I bought the Snomaster EX85L. I have the Engels in my Lance camper and the Snomaster is in my Peterbilt. You get what you pay for in these fridges.

Iceco and set power are the same company. Set power same circuitry but no Danfoss secop

@@DoritosResidue Yep, same as Adventure Kings out of Australia and Truckfridge here in the States. They all fall under the Indel B Umbrella of companies.
Since the Secops are no longer manufactured in Europe. Secops are exclusively manufactured in China now. When Secop bought out the Danfoss BD35F and BD50F compressors they moved production to Germany/Slovakia and China. Now just China.
Edgestar/Whynter was the first to copy the Danfoss/Seacop compressors. So I'm figuring that's who Secop has manufacturing them now.

@The Dude yep I've read somewhere that secop is now manufactured in China. Don't know if this is true but also saw somewhere that secop licensed out their compressor to dometic so dometic can say it's an in house compressor. Even though dometic use to use their compressors. I do have the iceco go20 with the Secop Danfoss compressor . Been running it for 8 months straight and it's been outstanding. I will be upgrading soon maybe to an ARB , JP40 pro or Dometic.

@@DoritosResidue No Dometic has their own compressors. VMOSO2 (Non Bluetooth) and VMOSO3 (Bluetooth). It's a variable speed compressor. Danfoss/Secop are set speeds. Low is 2,400rpm and high is 4,800rpm. The Dometic will run as hard as it needs to. If it needs run at 2,950rpm that's what it will run at. Dometic is a Swedish company and they tend to keep things in house. They are Chinese made. But they do keep pretty good QA/QC in place. Dometic used to use Danfoss compressors. But when Secop bought them out they developed their own. Same with National Luna.
ARB and Kickass out of Australia use Secops. But they put in their own controllers and electronics.
The best 12v compressors are the kt511 and kt611 Sawafuji's. Simple. Just a electro magnet that bounces a piece of steel between two springs. And that's what compresses the coolant. People in Australia have had them last 30 to 40 years with their Engels. They don't get hot either.

What funny is that they are the same company. I live local to their office . Their offer up page sells both of these brands used here in southern California you can call them and they will tell you. It was also confirmed by jasonoid. This is the way of business for Chinese companies. Not knocking these because I own the go 20 and will be buying the jp 40 pro. In my opinion you gotta go with the Danfoss secop.

Good products, but absolutely horrible customer service. Go with a different company.
