I just got the VL60 Pro and I set the temp for 34 degrees and turned it on. The temp inside to start with was 72 degrees. It got down to 34 in about 15 minutes or so. I love my fridge. It is a bit heavy.

Good review but want to point out that the refrigerant on this is actually R513A which is not flammable. The foam insulation is foamed/blown using C-pentane which in itself is flammable. With that said once the insulation is foamed/blown the C-pentane that hasn't combined with the foam evaporates and is handled at the mfg facility where the refrigerator is made. Any C-pentane that remains in the foam is considered nonvolatile since it has combined with it. They used to blow insulation using R134a and have since switched to C-pentane as its potential to destroy ozone is far less. My understanding is that the C-pentane label on there is just a precaution in the rare case that not all of it has evaporated during mfg.

Appreciate the video. Buying this for my 4Runner in Colorado for camping.

Very low current draw, very efficient for a compressor type. Good job Chris!

Do you know what the current draw was while hooked up to the 12 volt battery and how often it cycled. I am trying to find out the amp hours I need as I am going to be powering a battery with a solar panel. Still trying to work out the batteries and size of solar panel. Looking at 2 Trojan T105s and a 100 watt panel. The battery place also recommended the Energizer ARC 5 and ARC 12 Lithium Ion Powerstation. .

If you plug in the AC and DC ports which will it prioritize? Will it swap over if 1 source dies? Also if you use both DC ports for 2 batteries will it auto swap if one of the batteries dies?

Actually I am going to be buying this or something like it in a few months. It looks like a decent unit , the only thing that stands out to me as a potential deal breaker is the color. And the only reason I say that is because black draws the heat something terrible. But if you are keeping it out of the sun then its not a problem. I am looking forward to seeing how this holds up. As always that was a real nice review Chris and a real good tip about the clear sealant. 👍

Yeah good point about the black out in the sun. Although I think this is best kept under a roof or indoors. And cool, I'll let you know how it holds up. Thanks for checking out the video!

I may have missed it in the video, but how long will it run on battery set to 34 degrees?

I like the laugh of disbelief when he described spending 700 bucks to avoid buying ice twice a summer. 1st world problems. 😂

i know they want to sell their fridge slide, but i find it so stupid how they use straps to secure the fridge compared to brands like Dometic which have bolt holes on the bottom of the fridge so that you can secure it to a platform from underneath. the straps through the handles look so cheap and block part of the panel as well.

It’s a shame we don’t see any reviews AFTER a year of use/ownership. I can tell you why though. These fridges don’t last longer than a year and Iceco doesn’t stand behind them even if they are under warranty. Good luck to you if you buy this junk.

After informing ICECO that the inside temp was as much as 9-10 degrees warmer than the display (with 3 high quality thermometers over a weeks time),they told me that a 14 DEGREE difference was normal. And sent me this Einstein theory:
    Hi there,
Thanks for contacting us. We would like to explain to you that the temperature control logic of this model is based on Celsius (°C) units. When you switch to Fahrenheit (°F), the temperature is calculated using the formula F = (320 + 18C) / 10 and then rounded to the nearest whole number for display. The temperature setting range is -20°C to +20°C, which is equivalent to -4°F to 68°F in Fahrenheit.
It is normal that the fluctuate of our fridge within 14℉. The working principle of the compressor is that when the temperature sensing head detects that the temperature inside the refrigerator has reached the set temperature, the compressor will stop working, and the temperature inside the refrigerator will rise; when the temperature inside the refrigerator rises to a certain temperature, the compressor will continue to work to cool down.
The laboratory's test standard is based on the running average temperature of the center inside the fridge, to determine whether or not the fridge is qualified by monitoring it in real time over a long period of time.
And the temperature displayed is actually the running average temperature of the internal centre of the fridge.
If you have further questions, please feel free to contact us, thank you!
    Best Regards,
    Ellen
    ....really?
I didn't see this theory on your website while you were boasting accuracy.
