    I love shiplap. On Amazon I bought a large bundle of wood pieces like stir sticks only without the handles and are twice the thickness of balsa. They are perfect for shiplap and do cut easily. I have loved the projects I used them on.

      Thank you! It came from Michaels OR Hobby Lobby wood isles! Sorry, I don't remember for sure at this point, but definitely one of them! ❤️

      They were actually a cheap pair from Amazon and they worked great until they didn't. I actually just broke them cutting a bunch of popsicle sticks. So I'm going to have to explore and find a better pair. 😐

    So I've alot of frames I've been asked to up cycle I'm using chalk paint I don't like the brush strokes and I tried the micro fibre roller and it looks and feels rough what brush to use for a smother look

    • @KraftingWithKandace
      @KraftingWithKandace  3 місяці тому +1

      I also don't like brush marks! I always add a bit of water to y chalk paint, mixing thoroughly, to give the paint itself a slightly smoother texture. This allows it to spread way easier, and gives you a lot more control. I also use super smooth bristled brushes. I tend to just use these cheap ones. Ill post the amazon link, but you can also get them at walmart, or craft stores. Sometimes the bristles come out, but they work great for the price! I hope this helps!

      Thank you so much foe your reply. So I'm gonna add a ridiculous question aswell I am a newbie with chalk paint the feel of the frame feels ... you know when people hate feel of things makes them weak at the knees sort of thing like nails of a blackboard, mine is sponges 🤢 well the chalk paint on surface is Dding to that list it's her like clear varnish that can over chalk paint make the feel of the frame bearable ro hold 😀🤣

    • @KraftingWithKandace
      @KraftingWithKandace  3 місяці тому

      @@lornamonahan5009 Not ridiculous at all! I def hate the feeling of the chalk paint! You can seal it! I personally tend to use polycrylic, a finishing wax (which is typically sold near the chalk paint), or rustoleum 2x clear spray coat!
