I know this movie gets a lot of hate and if you don’t like it it’s perfectly fine. For me this movie is very nostalgic to me. I remember seeing the previews as a kid and begging my folks to take me to see it. And me and the family had a fun time! And that’s really all that matters at the end of the day.

Same here. This movie is one of my biggest guilty pleasures. It may not be like the games but I still like it for what it is. It feels like a gritty dark AU of Mario 😄
The fact that the new Mario bros movie will propably be based around Yoshi gives me hope that this song might reappear in that Movie.

Shigeru Miyamoto actually prefers this movie over the 1986 Mario anime movie.
Ironically, most Mario fans prefer that anime over this live action movie.

If I had to guess, Koopa's two newly- evolved genius henchmen probably sapped his slimy remains up and put it on the Evo chair and evolved Koopa back to be the villain in the [would-be] sequel.

Thinking about it this is almost a perfect pick for a song in a mario movie. It's got the 2 guys singing plus it's obviously about dinosaurs, which is also kinda a mario thing. Plus the vibe of the song in general is mario-ish to me

I wish Bob Hoskins was still around. He would've been an awesome choice to voice Mario in the upcoming movie.
Awesome as that would be, he would probably have turned it down anyway given how bitterly he remembered his experience with the '93 movie. That does make me wonder if John Leguizamo was ever approached about reprising Luigi, though.
