Rob Halford is 72 and STILL hits crazy high notes!
1. Find a supernaturally gifted countertenor.
2. Put him in a metal band
3. Pure awesome.
Ian Hill, i know someone who can sing, my girlfriend`s brother - 1972
Rob Halford and Judas Priest have been around since the early 70's but they didn't explode internationally until 1980 with the "British Steele" album. They are one of the most influencial metal bands of their time, with some who consider them to be one of the greatest metal bands ever, myself included.
I concur.
@@PlezurBazarme as well!
Totally
Possibly *THE* greatest Metal band ever.
Dare to argue with you over their breakthrough. From my point of view it is Unleashed in the East from the previous year that started the whole JP pleasure
I mean, Rob Halford is called "The Metal God" for a reason. His voice is so fucking out of this world.
This song is the definition of Heavy Metal. Welcome to the club ^_^
Victim of Changes, Diamonds and Rust, Dreamer Deceiver, Living After Midnight, Breaking the Law, Turbo Lover... Those are all excellent songs by Judas Priest and worth checking out.
Since 1991 STILL the ultimate Defintion of HEAVY METAL !!!!
1990, actually
I'm amazed at how easy Rob can hit those notes. He makes it look incredibly easy
11:36 they have a brand new song out right now - Panic Attack
Considering that singer Rob Halford is now 72, hearing him on this new song sounding as good as he did 30+ years ago when they made Painkiller is fantastic
Great suggestion. He still sounds incredible!
Yes indeed, was lucky enough to see them last month at the PowerTrip Festival and he can still hit these notes, and yes he also performed Panic Attack.
That song also made me cry being a lifelong priest fan.
Rob really is just fuckin built different
The whole new album is absolute fire.
You need to check out K.K'S PRIEST as well. (Solo album for KK. and he brought Ripper Owen's in for the project.)
Maiden's new album is the shit, too.
His range is from one end of the spectrum to the other. The most impressive aspect is his clarity at all points on his range. Black Sabbath invented heavy metal, with Painkiller Judas Priest perfected it. Nothing is more metal than this. Everything about it is flawless.
I love Painkiller, but to say that metal wasn’t perfected until then is way off.
Painkiller is my favorite album ever but I see a flaw, the drumming could have been a bit more rock n roll and less machine like. Just a tiny bit
metal existed...but was just dark and slow.
painkiller maid it fast and powerfull@@tylerdude1982
Painkiller - the song and the video, was new drummer Scott Travis's introduction to the Judas Priest fan arena. I saw this performed live (along with opening act Alice Cooper!) in July 1991, and when they did Painkiller, the drums, sounds, vocals AND lights were just as tight as in the video. Imagine a whole concert hall done in white strobes so bright it WAS brighter than a thousand suns!
This is the definition of heavy metal!
Another epic song by Judas is Victim of Changes - live from the album Unleashed in the East.
Victim of Changes (live US festival) is a great example of the range of Rob Halford
Coincido es una obra maestra sin duda, saludos
The most iconic Heavy Metal song of all time ❣️🫶Masterpiece! Priest…Priest…Priest! 🤘🔥
One of the best metal songs ever imo. Speed/thrash personified
La canción de heavy mas heavy que existe... La escucho 25 años después me sigue poniendo los pelos de punta.
Obra maestra
Arguably one of the most metal things ever.
For another listen of Judas Priest, my suggestion will be one to show how Rob Halford still deserve is Metal God title.
The 2020 Epitaph live version of Beyond the Realms of Death (from Stained Class album 1978).
One of my favorites songs of Priest & it is still blowing my mind how underrated this masterpiece can be.
Judas Priest Painkiller was the first metal album I bought as a child, followed a short time later by the British Steel LP. 🤘
Great reaction and analysis🤘🏼🤪🔥🎸🤘🏼Keep ‘em coming.
Thank you! Will do!
@@SingwithEmmatoday❤😅😅very good judas priest and i love you beautifull❤👍😎 i from chile
The energy produced by Painkiller is the only known renewable energy that is self sustaining. Free energy!
To get a better register on Rob Halford you need to listen to their stuff from the 80's. Try listening to a song like "The Sentinal" or "Hell Bent for Leather". Some of my favorites are off the Defenders of the Faith album and Screaming for Vengence.
The most metal song of them all
The whole discography is a master! You need to react another great singer called King Diamond!
I remember rockin J P in grade school back in the late seventies with my 'single' speaker cassette/recorder riding through the neighborhood on my banana skateboard 🤣🤣🤩
Their song "You've got another thing coming" is a must listen. Great reaction... Thank you!
Judas Priest Diamonds And Rust live 1979 ( unleashed in the east) Rob Halford live is a must .
That “could’ve died then and thereeeeeeeeee” part is incredible
I"ve listened to almost everything out there . This is the top the music can offer .
Love your reaction 😁👍
Thank you!! 😁
Now Rob Halford is singing Total Eclipse of the Heart! Just released a video a few days ago. :)
Yes,🤘❤️🤘❤️🤘 thank you. Love JP.🇮🇪🇧🇪🇪🇺
One of the Gods of Metal
Happy Halloween Beautiful Emma 🎃
Nice analysis!. I can suggest you to hear a Joan Baez theme the made. "Diamonds and Rust" and other good theme "victim of changes". you will see more Rob Halford´s features voice.
Congratulecccion you meet a Metal GOD
Please react to Judas Priest
Sinner (Live at New Haven Veterans Memorial Coliseum)
And the New Judas Priest Album come out in 2024 ,
The Sentinel, Beyond the Realms of Death, Johnny B. Goode
Heavy Metal it's just classical music with electricity, cheers!.
Painkiller is Judas' Nineth Symphony.
Hey Emma, great review! Other Judas Priest songs you may like:
You've got another thing coming
Breaking the Law
Touch of Evil (Crazy Vocals)
Electric Eye
Gods of Metal!!!
I have been watching "Emma Reactions" for a few months and only found "Sing with Emma today" today.
Need to him live absolutely amazing victim of changes 👍🤘
You just reacted to this!!
Next song: Dreamer Deceiver & Deceiver (studio version)
gotta try Victim of Changes studio version from Judas Priest maybe their best 70s song
Please, react to "Dreamer Deceiver" (BBC Performance) by Judas Priest. Thanks!
and studio version!
30년전에 즐겨듣던 나의 최애곡...
Judas Priest were so good in the 80s. And Rob, a top singer, one of the best 🤘🎸
they're still good :)
Still is.
Epic song epic drums epic cuitars and yes Rob Halford out of this world for Screaming for vengeance epic album the best song on this album You got a nouther thing coming.
Now, Queensryche playing take hold of the flame live
🔥🔥🔥
Listen to the studio version of 'The Sentinel'
Desert Plains (live vengeance 82) best of both ends of Uncle Bobby's range😎🤘
That Song is still in the Liveset of Judas Priest
geta reaction as always emma
His voice is incredible
best guitar solo
Greatest heavy metal song ever (aka to date).. and album as well tbh
Judas Priest..... forever !!!!!
You should check out Yngwie Johan Malmsteen if you want to hear Metal and Vivaldi melded together.
Victim of changes, The Sentinel, Freewheel Burning, Dreamer Deceiver...
The metal godz . Judas Priest
Mainlining nitro glycerin on a moonless night, empty highway, crotch rocket full throttle.
That is the essence of this song for me.
Today, Rob Halford is 72 years old and still singing well
Rob Halford is a metal legend. This track is also metal legend.
My favourite metal band is Iron Maiden who I luckily saw 3 times. This however will forever hold a place in my heart 👌
Please listen to Judas Priest Diamonds and Rust (from Joan Baez) live from Epitaph. You will hear a complete other Rob Halford!
Will Do!
if emma keeps listening/reacting to metal we'll have claimed another one😁
You should really check out the 1982 live version of Screaming For Vengeance, that is off the charts.... the
Metal God at full power. it would still be impossible to find a singer who can do that...
Next Check up : Judas Priest : Blood Red Skies as a Live - Version ?
More Priest? Victim of Changes at the Us Festival or Dreamer Deceiver/Deceiver on BBC. Cheers from New York.
for the next one “Victim of Changes” is a must
If we could choose only one song that is a real METAL, that would be PAINKILLER. Listen to their new song Panic Attack. Halford stil has it-amazing guy, only 72 years young-BADASS!
Metal music is a descendant of Classical music.
Most music is a descendant of classical music.
Metal masters Jp. The priest
She had an eargasm...
this wail, those high notes, sounds like painkiller is falling from the sky..... like a meteor.
Rob Halford does this song almost entirely in his falsetto register, but he has quite a wide range. For a more "normal" voice of his, listen to e.g. 'You've Got Another Thing Coming'.
❤❤❤
If you want to hear old Rob: Diamonds and Rust live from 'RISING IN THE EAST'
If you want to hear prime Rob: 1983 Dortmund or 1986 Fuel for Life tour
This was prime Halford.
It could be my fading memory as I get older but I do seem to remember a Kerrang interview with the band on release of the album and them describing it as the heaviest thing they ever did.
Yes but that was before Judas Rising. They still consider it their "Sargent Pepper" though.
Rob trained as an opera singer.
Victim of Changes
THE DEFINITIVE METAL SONG 😊
Glenn Tipton didn't start learning guitar until he was 24 years old.
# 홧팅 🍒🙆♂️))
Rob Halford just did a duet with Doro on “Total Eclipse of the Heart”
Rob Halford just did a duet of Total Eclipse of the Heart with DORO, please react to that! :D
Nice reaction!!
Wanna hear his voice in different tones....BLOOD RED SKIES is the song
Before the Dawn.
THAT IS METAL HELLL JEAAAAA
Probably the most metal song in all of metal.
Rob is a legend so is Judas Priest
You should look at Junna's drum cover of this song. She is an amazing drummer!
If you liked Rob Halford”s vocals you should listen to King Diamond “Sleepless Nights “ live at The Fillmore.
Metal God👍
Great! try out in the cold live Dalllas
Моя любимая группа
Best song in the history of Heavy Metal best band ever........
