I think the reason why they brought him back is because the people writing spongebob now are those who watched it as a kid. Just how the animators have put their fish oc’s as background characters aswell
@olisnew5167 I mean if you got to work on a cartoon you've loved since you were a kid who wouldn't try having some fun amd adding your OC's in the background and reference the classic stuff?
I think he's only good for an occasional joke like how he originally was. I don't know if, quote 'animators have put their fish oc’s as background characters aswell' is true or not but I hope that it isn't. I don't want to see some animators (or anyone's oc character, no matter who they are, in official works) stupid oc. Just keep it to yourself.
Bubble Bass was an iconic minor character but he disappeared for over a decade besides a few video games and a cameo in Plankton’s Good Eye. Then when the show basically restarted after Sponge out of Water, they brought him back. I was SHOCKED when he came back as even a background character before he was properly reestablished as a supporting character. I like that he got rewritten to where he’s not just a sadist towards SpongeBob, he’s a jerk to everyone and the Comic Book Guy of the show. Especially with the Patrick Show’s parody of internet critics, he’s made a bit relevant to todays culture. I actually think Mama Bass is a bit more interesting because she knows exactly what a massive pain in the ass her son is and doesn’t tolerate his behavior. I don’t think Sponge Haters club was that mean spirited, not like Stuck in the Wringer or A Pal for Gary. Squid even says they don’t want harm to come to Sponge.
One reason why I actually love them bringing Bubble Bass is that, unlike most of the characters they're brought back, they've actually given him new things to do instead of just having him redo the one thing he's famous for. Fred is a amazing example of this, as every episode where he's appears in nowadays, good or not, always has some callback to "My Leg!" It's just annoying now and way less funny or endearing as it was before.
I honestly welcome a new face to the main cast, even if it is a minor character just getting more spotlight. Plus, Bubble Bass is gold in basically everything hes in lol.
Remind me how there used to be only 7 main characters in the show, but they decided to add three more to the cast (Pearl, Karen and Ms. Puff). Maybe Bubble Bass could eventually be promoted to a main character but Larry should have been promoted to main character in the first place (In fact some promoted materials and some episodes shows him with the main cast).
I love modern SpongeBob so much, its just that Patrick's writting needs SERIOUS work. He's not funny at all well he has some funny moments in the new episodes but not as much as he did in Seasons 1-4
Growing up, I was always indifferent to him, thought he was just simply an everyday guy. Unfortunately, he has a nasty habit of projecting his misery and failures onto others, doing so just to feel good about himself. The most shocking thing is, social media is rife with monsters like him, I'm not saying they're all like him but whenever I see those kind of users who are loved by everyone and have something K followers when they just have no talent or admirable qualities, it makes me question the sanity of their subscribers.
Underrated video. While I do like his modern major roles and Bubble Bass Reviews from The Patrick Star Show, most if not all of his appearances in the latest season really feel forced, especially in Abandon Twits and Delivery to Monster Island.
Because the writers ran out of good ideas years ago and now they have to bring background and one-off characters into the main spotlight in a desperate attempt to make new material. The show should have ended after Season 3 like Hillenburg wanted.
I really thought bubble bass was a great as a one off character but now they’ve just used them so much to the point. Where is a main character now I feel like he’s replaced Larry as a main character, which is quite ironic considering bubble bass is fat and Larry is you know.

I can definitely believe that!

I will say when I was younger, after I learned the worked ass, I always thought Bubble Bass was called Big Fat Ass.
5:08 It would be funnier if Squidward said “We still serve food here sir.”
Yeah, I rate that 😂
@@olisnew5167 lol.

i brushed my teeth listening to this, it was great😂
Brushed for 8 minutes? Clean 👌
If you think Bubble Bass is now the main character, Nickelodeon should make a show for him.
Man you deserve a sub for making this video. You put effort on it
I guess I'm first ^_^
Thank you! 🙂
He's funny in my opinion, It's surprising he now has a big role in the newer seasons which i never care for.
He is the goat 🐐

Best villain

Tbf this problem isn’t exclusive to Bubble Bass
Here before this blows up
I like the decision. I have ALWAYS liked Bubble Bass's jerkishness and thought he was funny.

Me and my friends growing up loved Bass and were always hoping he’d return… if just to throw Squid around again
what's wrong with trying new things? using a character more isn't "proof they're out of ideas" lmfao
I miss his character from the episode "pickles" he peaked in that one, now he's just the comic guy from simpsons, lame.

Because the spongebob writers forgot what made the series great and are out of ideas
Bubble Bass is god.
