I’m so sorry about your loss, Anne. A full review of Atlas Shrugged would be amazing especially if you included your disagreements of the philosophy. I’ve always been curious about Pillars of the Earth, but have never picked it up.
Thank you! I'll definitely be doing a full review for Atlas Shrugged. And Pillars of the Earth is...interesting. I'll have more thoughts when I finish it.
So sorry to hear about the loss of your dog! 😢 Hopefully Loki is giving you lots of licks and cuddles to console you! Pillars of the Earth - very surprised to hear your thoughts as most people seem to love it and one day I will read it! Looking forward to your review on the Singapore book! 😊📚
Thank you! Yeah, I think Pillars of the Earth is a good book, but the constant violence against women just soured the whole experience for me. But I hope you like it more!
So sorry to hear about your loss. That is never easy--video games are necessary. But, if you read the book, you are more than qualified to discuss it, in regard to Atlas Shrugged!
Thank you. Video games definitely help. And true, I just don't read as much philosophy as you, so I had more of a surface level understanding of Atlas Shrugged. But I will be doing a full review of it!
So sorry for the loss of your fur sister ❤ 😢 oh I just found Atlas Shrugged at the library sale so I would like to hear your thoughts if you say when spoilers will be as I probably will give it a go. I am super behind too and I don’t really have a good excuse. All good!
Aw, I'm sorry about your pup. That's hard. My parents' dog is so far in good health, but she's getting older. My father never wanted a dog. But I know when that dog dies, he will be sad.
I'm sorry about your dog🥺 I hated Pillars of thr Earth. It's one of my husbands favorites, and he talked me into reading it. It made me so angry. There's a villain, I can't remember his name, but it stars with a W. He was so, so awful. I wanted to throw the book.
Thank you! William! He's horrible, and I think I agree with you more then your husband. I'm really struggling with Pillars of the Earth, and I hate all the violence against women.
ATLAS SHRUGGED I'd love a full review, if you want. That book fascinated and frustrated me in about equal measure. One of the few times in my life that I felt like physically throwing a book across the room. Spoilers: I did not. The other one was THE DA VINCI CODE. Don't get me started on that book. I don't remember for sure but... I think I did actually drop it on the floor and then picked it right back up.
Considering quite a few people asked me to do a full review for Atlas Shrugged, I guess I'm doing it, lol. And don't get me started on The Da Vinci Code either! I read that and Angels and Demons and I swore to never read another of his books. So bad! Though with Atlas Shrugged it was more of a love hate relationship. It was fascinating and frustrating to me too!
There's a TV adaptation? Interesting, I'll have to watch it. But so far halfway through Pillars of the Earth book and I'm not liking it too much. There are so many creepy sexual stuff in the book, especially concerning violence against women, which I'm struggling to handle.
@@AnneEWilliamson that´s not great :/ there wasn´t much of it in the adaptation...at least I don´t remember. I think it has few parts but I quite liked it :)
I read PILLARS years ago, so I don't recall details. But I do remember there was some creepy sexual stuff that grossed me out and really ruined my enjoyment of the book.
Thank you! Yeah...I think the noir genre just isn't for me, because I didn't like The Big Sleep by Raymond Chandler either, but most people seem to love it.
So sorry for your loss. It’s hard. Give yourself time to feel.

I am on my second reading of JANE EYRE and loving it!
I'm so sorry for your loss. She's a beautiful pup. 💕
Thank you. She was!

Thank you! Yeah...losing a dog is just so difficult. I hope your parents' dog lives a lot time!
I'm sorry about your dog🥺

Oh no, so sorry to hear Pillars of the Earth hasn't been going well for you!
Sending lots of hugs Anne 💛 I´ve only seen Pillars of the Earth tv adaptation and enjoyed it... was wondering whether to pick the book up 🤔

@@teacupthestoryteller Maybe the show tamed things down. I might like the show more then!

That's what I'm finding too! Like the world and plot are interesting but all the sexual stuff is ruining my enjoyment of the book too.
Sorry for your loss of your pet! Like you, I did not enjoy The Maltese Falcon.
