Galactic Bleachman Oh hey! We're a 5a Texas band too! You dont have to tell me your school, but what division? I was in C I believe. Edit: Area C 5a or whatever it's called...
The Carmel 2016 performance clip is different from the performance we played at grand nats. One of our guard techs legit had a dream of us winning nats with a pullover so three days before our finals performance we completely changed our show ending. In the end, it turned out pretty well. Thanks for including us !!
Carmel has suck a great program. I'm a drum major at a class D school, I love the place I'm at but holy hell whenever I see stuff from Carmel I'm just in so much amazement.
Losing Sophie, her Dad, and her Grandmother has brought all of our community's bands closer. We cheer each on more now than ever before. As a former Castle Marching Knight with a Senior in Boonville's Band of Gold, and many friends with kids in each the neighboring county's bands (5 different schools), I am so proud of all the kids in each band. Castle, Boonville, Central, Bosse, Reitz, North, and Harrison have all made it to Semi-state.... I do believe this a first in history! 😍 Sophie, we as a community, will never forget you.
Wish I had a chance to go to state, but my band is from a 3A school with only about 30 people in it, no color guard, and band directors that wont stay, during my 4 years of high school we had 6 band directors come through
DesertRedPanda as a director myself I honestly prefer a 30-45 person band because it’s enough that you get some one-on-one time, the kids have to practice because they have no one to back them up, and choreography is super effective
But....hOw are these bands so big?! Like some of these (like the 1st one) look like 1/4 of my whole school. My band has literally 26 people, including pit, guard, and drum major. wHaT. Bravo. Honestly, these bands gave me chills.
These Bands are so huge my middle school band has 16 kids in it, one tuba, three trumpets, two alto saxes, one tenor sax, five clarinets, two trombones, one percussionist, and our flute quit
There is something really special about a really good marching band during a really good stretch in a towns history where everyone is together and has put so much time in together regardless of sport or whatever it may be. When people believe in each other and then the band lays down one of those really magical ends to a song it just brings everything together and all those years of sacrifice by parents and students comes pouring out of you because you realize what a great thing all of you have accomplished.
My junior year cost $2400 (state, st. Louis & grand nationals) and my senior year was $3300 (state, st.louis and rose parade). We do a ton of group fundraising though.
Maranda Beth We have a lot of fundraising opportunities for my band, but our fee is only $300-350. This year we're going to Macy's though which is another $2000
How can one make a beat marching band video, without a single clip of the Ronald Regan High school band. Literally one of the most iconic and impactful bands in the country. I do enjoy the clips that was chosen, but I’m just saying you’re missing out on some true amazing moments
Adam McClure I didn’t want to make part one too long. I LOVE the Reagan Band, and am planning on putting them in my part two that I’m finishing after the 2017 season is finished.
Man, my school could only dream of getting here. I’m not saying we’re bad, but we there’s a lot of stiff competition. Hopefully we do well at our super regional in 3 weeks.
You should check out Floyd Centrals Highschools shows from 2016 and 2017. They killed it, their show from 2014 was really amazing too, they did a color change for the last movement
Should check out Legacy HS shows! Especially Lady Macbeth. theyve won CBA state finals for like 4 years in a row. and Horizon high school with Romeo and Juliet rewritten (HHSQF2017 is what the video is called, or search up Liz Hann for the channel). these are Colorado based bands and itll be nice to shine some light on them!
Nearly the people in my band are incredibly talented because of our directors strictness and talent, but we barely have anyone in band because I go to one of those wealthy private schools and we can barely make it past A because we don’t have enough people we are only barely in AA we still always place high at least.
Only one William Mason high school? So much for getting 3rd last year...(Jk I love all of the bands in this video I just have to show my mason pride :D)
The woodlands High school show in 2018 is gonna make the list because this year their show is aimed for making state not like fun like my school the woodlands college park which has an amazing show just google TWCp marching band 2018 try to find our week 5 show
My daughters High School did not have a band... they didn't even have a school football team. It was so sad. They did not have enough time we were told; with an average of three hours of homework each day!!! Our only small compensation was that 98% of them passed the entrance exams for college. Of course, not everyone could afford to send their child...it is expensive! Luckily our government loves all our children and so paid for everyone! This is a fairy tale... in the US, reality in Europe...
Remember when Bowie used to be good but then our show Deep cape and then we made a come Back with Overthrone and this year was okay with And Then I Saw The Sky
Yo best high school band you can get. They put you through hell and back, and once you get back, they send ya right back to hell. But Carmel is really good, they put you through hell so you can be the BEST
@@TopDrumCorps Yeah I think I might've been wrong on those claims, I mixed up schools. My school is 4A, Argyle Highschool beats all 4A, but I don't think it's anything like Coppell. Look up Argyle Plano Drumline 2019 if you want to see us, I'm a bass player.
Some of the juniors and seniors in my band are worse than the freshmen. There are these two baritone players (one junior and one senior) that don’t know the music, their dots, or any of the visuals. When you live in Oklahoma and you know you'll never beat Broken Arrow....
An OG Russian We used to go against Air Academy's marching band. I feel.
When you live in Northwest Arkansas and can only dream of beating Broken Arrow :'^)
Owassos got a chance
I feel you I got so close to beating them at oba. Like a point behind. Rigged
yoooo I live in NWA aswell
I get so jealous of other bands. Our band can’t even make a straight diagonal line.
That sucks, I am so very lucky to match snare at carmel
The Carmel 2016 performance clip is different from the performance we played at grand nats. PilotImp175 that's EXACTLY how our marriage hung band is, except we finally got a director that stayed for 3 years and is leaving next year.
My town is just SDA.
Atleast you had almost 30, we only have 19 in ours. Plus no color guard. But we also have an amazing band director. Im sure ya'll sounded amazing.

DesertRedPanda huh, i go to a 2A school but the band has about 75 kids
Rip Sofie Reinhart ❤️ I still remember watching Castle preform that show then to get news a few days later that she was gone.. heartbreaking

Someone really likes Carmel high school
ZEDecay or they realize that carmels really good :/
Noonenormal I'm not saying they aren't really good, they're fantastic. It's just they could of included more variety.
But none of them are better than the McAdams High School Band
Nitro lmao
Lol I’ve seen that video so many times.
corp styles are the best hands down
Nitro lol Carmel made first. So I’m pretty sure they’re better
Gqpp WOOSH
These Bands are so huge my middle school band has 16 kids in it, one tuba, three trumpets, two alto saxes, one tenor sax, five clarinets, two trombones, one percussionist, and our flute quit
There should be much more Hebron and Marcus band on here. The two best bands in the state of Texas hands down.
Benjamin Scheurer flo mo is very debatable haha flo mo is really good but I wouldn’t say it’s Hebron level
Please do a part 2! I love marching bands and I would love to see new 2018 ones!
The Western panthers went to BOA this year!! I love watching other bands! Being in Lucas oil gives me this scared but amazing feeling!!
man i remember marching in the cards and nine lives i miss it thank you for the awesome memories of that!
I wonder if woodwind players know that they disappear the second the brass section decides to play
Yes we know. That's why we decide to switch to brass for DCI so we can destroy them.
Carmel HS & Castle HS 2016 played really good! I love it!
Carmel's band director was a Castle Marching Knight. 😁

i would frickin love to be in boa, but our band is in WBA though. We're 3A, so I dont think we're big (or funded) enough
Alex Converse ikr mine was in wba we just moved to csbc
Nice to see my school on here. Vista Murrieta 2016 was fun.
They have that school funding
They have that $2000 marching band fee

Adam McClure lol wow I wonder what band ur in?...
When you're Floridian and you know your band wont beat Tarpon Springs
Avocado Kid ;)
Tarpon springs uses an insane amount of electronic in their shows. Not as much music. I’d be more worried about cypress creek than tarpon springs.
where are you from? i’m from tc, we have a shot at beating tarpon this year
Seminole deserves some representation
You're missed Sophie
I'm do glad Franklin is on here, kinda wish they would have picked a better video of that part of the show but still really cool
If you make a part 2 you should take a look at Lake Brantley High Schools 2016 Michael Jackson show. It's really cool.
Emma Morgan yeah there band is big but they arent very good especially this year
What songs did they play?
I play baritone for Franklin. Would you mind telling me where you found the clip of us in 2016? Also our 2015 show was really cool too :)
Woh
J Q Tennessee
Nodin Elm where are y’all from? Do you guys do BOA? We’re on the BOA circuit and it would be cool to see y’all at a Regional or Grand Nats sometime :)

Vista Murrieta
Me encanta😍😍

same here. my band, as far as i know, hasn’t even gotten to super state.
I'm in a 6A, we regularly make SCSBOA Championships but haven't got higher than last in it
Take a look at some clips of West Broward HS. Believe it or not, they are great.
I'm pulsing so hard with the crash cymbals lol.
It hurts watching other people living out your dream
Carmel is amazing. beats us every year
You guys should keep a lookout next year for Laurens District 55 Raider Band from South Carolina. We’ll be doing BOA!!
I feel so proud to be in the same area as the woodlands.
meanwhile we’re still trying to get our feet in time
I'm in the Western Panther marching band..i spin rifle. Let me tell you, we love Carmel!!!
William mason HS 2014 was our performance for Mooresville HS 2018 😂

Wait so castle hs and carolina crown had some of the same music in 2016?
Back in the day 95 to 99 lassiter had everyone beat.
I'm in a tiny California band and I am jealous of these guys 😥

Noah Roof no, they get funding and a ridiculous amount of it.
Ok how the fuck do all these bands get props and equipment like that?!?!?

DCI max is 158
Kuwayway Logic there is a band in Texas with about 750 members
