I'm not a pagan, but there's something in this beautiful song that calls to me from a far, ancient and mystical time. Perhaps a time that inspired my pagan ancestors. The music also makes me feel younger since it's from 30 or so years ago. Springtime definitely helps get the juices stirring again.
I remember in 1997-98 hearing this song on mainstream radio. It was so unlike anything else being played. Spellbinding music.
I didn't hear ot the first time until 2006 - and was instantly spellbound.
You'll never hear anything like it on radio again.

He reminds me of an ancient druid they worked with green energy to heal Nature, but they also shifted into bears, wolfs and Owls, they would often be seen wearing gear as this running around Forrests sometimes eating fish.

This video brings to mind the Night of Kupala (see Wikipedia article below). Seems ancient Druids and Eastern Pagan Slavs had much in common.
Kupala Night (also Kupala's Night or just Kupala; Polish: Noc Kupały, Belarusian: Kupalle, Russian: Ivan Kupala, Kupala, Ukrainian: Ivan Kupalo) is one of the major folk holidays of the Eastern Slavs that coincides with the Christian feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist and the East Slavic feast of Saint John's Eve. In folk tradition, it was revered as the day of the summer solstice and was originally celebrated on the shortest night of the year, which is on 21-22 or 23-24 of June {Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Bulgaria (where it is called Enyovden), and Ukraine (since 2023)}, and according to Julian calendar on the night between 6 and 7 July (Belarus, and Russia). I am going to let everyone in on a little secret.
I want to use this song by Miss McKenna for a dream sequence in an upcoming future personal project of mine where the main female character has been forcibly taken away from her beloved husband.
In the midst of her despair, as she is sleeping, her mind conjures up a soothing scenario where she is in a large but benevolent landscape. She then sees her spouse and the two of them proceed to dance gracefully to this majestic piece of music while under a lovely clear night sky. The both of them are also wearing very romantic attire. The man is wearing black suede shoes, black trousers, and a white dress shirt that has unbuttoned sleeve cuffs and is also unfastened at the upper part. He has no T-shirt underneath.
The woman on the other hand is wearing a flower band crown and has a lace gown with no arm sleeves. She's barefoot. They then share a lovely kiss.
But it doesn't turn into anything obscene or explicit. Instead, they suddenly find themselves flying through large clouds up in the evening sky.
They are holding each other's hands as they are in flight.
This song should have been used for the soundtrack of a movie.
