I like the open feel of the main area, plenty of sunlight, and all the artwork. Your home has a nice balance of masculine/feminine tastes in the decor. And incorporating the kitchen countertop into the stairs is really different, and a creative way to save space.
I LOVE this house, it feels like a real home. Other tiny homes are so perfectly sleek they look more like a display than something people live in - for example, the clothing on the shelves that is actually in a variety of colors and shades rather than all neutrals and there are more than 6 shirts - best of all, it blends nicely with original artwork that shows the personality of the owners. I dont wonder how they live here because I feel I can see it. The upstairs storage loft is fantastic.
like the idea of open storage under sofa - more useful with puppies too. Inconceivable! loved. Wish I had done that with my brooch collection. That's fabulous. Really great couple with a lovely home.

I'm surprised not to see Euro-style wet room showers in tiny houses -- it's a set-up also common in tiny Japanese apartments and hotel rooms. Water-sheath all walls, make the entire floor into a drain pan that empties to the far end of the room away from the toilet. Hang a shower curtain on a rail AROUND THE TOILET, not the shower area. Now the entire bathroom area (minus toilet) becomes the shower -- the extra 12-24 inches in front of the toilet would really make this home's 24x24 shower area spacious if the two were added together. Use a squeegee on a 30-inch handle to whisk away water drops from the walls and floor, the next person to use the toilet can move the curtain out of the way, let it drip dry in the meantime. Keep toiletries and tooth brushes in a bin or basket and set them outside the room when showering.

This is a really nice layout. I like that they have a big place to sit or even lie down in the living space. It looked pretty small from the outside but because she kept it open and airy inside, it looks much more spacious.
Not a lover of the so called bathroom door , i would need a bi-fold or something better than a curtain , but a nice little house i think your right with the sofa seating it's easier just pulling stuff out from underneath that lifting things up
Love the color scheme and cute dogs. Impressive use of space for such a tiny place. I still think I'd want a bigger one, but that one is well thought out.
Awww I love the Octopus coat hanger! And WOW! It's the LADY who's the builder here! That's pretty cool, I like the new trend of the masculine and feminine balancing out across the board in all aspects of life :)

This is one of the most relaxed, comfortable, and well designed tiny house I've seen to date! and wow your personalities sold me when you pulled out the Wii U!
I will say for any criticism related comments, the bathroom would've been great with a kind of slide door for privacy and some maybe some side window like coverage for the clothes so the stench of strong foods wouldnt be able to latch on as well
Ur nose is getting brown stop blowing smoke up their butt. Better tiny homes on youtube. And she aint all that. Washroom next to kitchen mmmmm poop smelling steak
@@MrTopsoil911 It's just the two of them majority of the time. That's why you have air conditioner. And if it's the best tiny house to them, then that's their opinion.
Yes, a toaster over (for which you sacrifice counter space) OR a Coleman portable camp oven, which fits on a burner and seems to bake really well - and folds up flat when not in use.
Tyma fes I doubt that response is sponsored. I also have a Coleman camp oven, and I have used it on my propane cooktop. I also suggested it, actually. I like that it folds down to a fraction of the size when not in use. And I don't work for Coleman. I'm a travel nurse and I do tiny house living in my RV.
If you have storage you only sacrafice counter space when in use..other than that it can be stored away just like most people do with blenders or rice cookers.
Nice! I'd sacrifice the living space for a freezer and oven. Maybe nix the poarch to keep the living space size, but shift it over. Then store a removable poarch for when parked.
Love this little house - probably the nicest one I've seen that size, for no more than 2 people. i'd probably add a foot more to the porch, and to the bathroom (along with a pocket door), but otherwise perfect. Very lovely interior decoration, molding, light walls/med-dark wood ceilings and such. Love the stairs, they really just fade into the background.
Anne Thornton well said on the stairs! The only tiny house we've seen with this style of stairs. Meg was incredibly thoughtful about the design and functionality of the space. 😊👍

@@Iamthathillbilly Sometimes for financial reasons. We're living in an age of expensive, unaffordable housing for many, coupled with low wage paying jobs. Even those who make good money sometimes can't afford a regular house. If someone has the skills to build a tiny house, or family members that do, then they can save a lot of money on building a house and not have a mortgage and not have to worry about apartment living which can also be inconvenient and a hassle in many ways, and is also overpriced in many places. And of course, if they have to build it themselves, it's probably a lot easier to build a tiny house. And also they want to keep it so it can be easily moved. What I don't understand is why they don't have an outside patio furniture. They would expand their living space a lot when the weather is warmer.
Sandra Gray I know all about the housing market being too high. No young person in my area can afford to buy, that said I think I’d rather try to find a house than to build one of these tiny dysfunctional things, and at the end of it all you own is the trailer, not the land or the right to put it anywhere. Without property and someone willing to let you put it on theirs you are effectively homeless anyways
you can still bake cookies. make your recipes as you would. then use a frying pan or pot big enough to hold an heat resistant insert and prop it up off the surface of the pan. I love your dogs! How very special they are and they look very happy. The size of the house doesn’t matter to a dog. They just care about being with the ones they love and who love them!
Great job, Meg. Not surprised that your personal house would be one of the best I've seen. As an admirer of your work, it's great to finally see what you did in your own space. Impressive. Lots of comments on here are annoying and rude. "I would do it this way..." "I don't like they way they did that..." "Would be better if..." "You shouldn't have done this..." Wow. Lame. Who asked them? None of these people will ever build a tiny house. They just watch UA-cam videos and criticize. Oh well, they are all experts who presume the world wants their opinion, I guess.
Luthorville: Building an Off-Grid Mojave Tiny House thank you for kind words! For the critics, all we can say is do you. Take notes for what you would do differently for your home and remember to each their own. 😊👍
Agreed. But... It's still rude. I would have done things differently from Meg & Dan. There are facets of the house that I don't like. But I'm not going to start spouting off and listing them. You know why? BECAUSE IT IS NOT MY HOUSE! They don't require my approval to love the way they live. They created THEIR dream. They were not building _mine_. I would rather praise their tenacity and drive to accomplish their ambitions, not criticize them because they failed to build their house exactly the way I would have done it. You know?
ACTUALLY, UA-cam channels benefit by people commenting what they like and what they would change for their own needs. This isn't rude for the most part, it's a good thing, as people are imagining themselves in smaller spaces. Every channel has the option for no comments if they can't handle feedback. Great vid and awesome home!
your home looks very welcoming. i too have costume jewelry brooches from my grandmum & great grandmum in my jewelry case that i do love but i hardly get to look at...so that hanging piece is a wonderful idea. i am going to try to do something similar. thanks!
My home is actually a small closet inside the store I own. I am a minimalist so I didn’t think I needed to buy a whole house when there was an empty closet that I could move around in. Also, there is a bathroom and kitchen in the back room of my store that I could use to live. So, needless to say, I most likely live in one of the smallest houses on earth.
Also why don't tiny house builders ever build the bathroom on the opposite side of the kitchen? Sorry there is just something gross about pooping while your cooking!
Mama Cat I used to think the same, but while watching another tiny home video, they claimed they do it that way for there's less plumbing/installation to deal with. Maybe one could place the stove/cooking range further from the bathroom door?
Mama Cat because both bathrooms and kitchens use plumbing. They put the 2 rooms that use plumbing together for efficiency. Also they generally like to put the lofts over the bathroom & kitchen so the living room can feel more spacious with the higher ceiling.
Very beautiful! You guys did a wonderful job on the build. The color of the tiny house is gorgeous and I love the big sink. We live in an RV that came with a really tiny sink and low faucet that we need to replace because it drives me nuts trying to wash dishes in it.
This is the same model I will be building! Your house is absolutely beautiful! I'm so glad I bought the plans for the Linden before Tumbleweed stopped offering this model! I need to order my trailer from them soon because they said they are discontinuing the trailer! Agh!
I love the steps appearance but stepping on the counter is gross to me. Plus every step is kicking a little bit of dirt off the bottom of socks onto the dishes/kitchen counter😊
All aspects are extremely well thought through. Super organized. The colours are light and welcoming quite soothing. A practical way to live. No way you can become a hoarder here 😂💕. Intelligent design. Much respect.
I like the house overall. Stepping on the countertop to go to the bedroom and cooking without a chimney is a big no no for me. I like my clothes and my space smelling fresh and being clean. Also proper ventilation is a must have in small places for mold prevention.
People who have tiny houses seem so humbled and just down to earth 🌏

Luthorville: Building an Off-Grid Mojave Tiny House your kidding right?
It's TOTALLY rude, intrusive, and outright obnoxious. I agree.
What an absolutely beautiful house for these 2 beautiful people! I'm so happy for them!
your home looks very welcoming. i too have costume jewelry brooches from my grandmum & great grandmum in my jewelry case that i do love but i hardly get to look at...so that hanging piece is a wonderful idea. i am going to try to do something similar. thanks!
The broach tree tapestry😍😍😍 How coo that she's a builder, blessing!
Beautiful !!!
Love it !
This is a perfect tiny house when all of your kids are grown and they moved out of the house. I love it and it is just beautiful.
My home is actually a small closet inside the store I own. I am a minimalist so I didn’t think I needed to buy a whole house when there was an empty closet that I could move around in. Also, there is a bathroom and kitchen in the back room of my store that I could use to live. So, needless to say, I most likely live in one of the smallest houses on earth.
how many sq m that closet ?
I would.love to see it. Why not make a video
Lovely home, lovely couple.
Maybe one could place the stove/cooking range further from the bathroom door?
i totally agree
I have never pooped will cooking
Mama Cat because both bathrooms and kitchens use plumbing. They put the 2 rooms that use plumbing together for efficiency. Also they generally like to put the lofts over the bathroom & kitchen so the living room can feel more spacious with the higher ceiling.
Mama Cat good point !

I’m a medical laboratory scientist from Alabama :) loved your tiny house!
Love this tiny house, it's so cute
Didn't see the tiny house, I was seen her, she's so gorgeous. Great project.
Love this couple
Very creative...the best tiny house style i came across...
Cute and cozy.
Thanks! I was fascinated at how your house has both beauty and efficiency! You did such a great job!
Very beautiful! You guys did a wonderful job on the build. The color of the tiny house is gorgeous and I love the big sink. We live in an RV that came with a really tiny sink and low faucet that we need to replace because it drives me nuts trying to wash dishes in it.
Smart idea with the stairs to the loft storage area. Love it!
Zero tour of the upstairs - just a quick shot for a second. Felt like something major was left out of this tour.
yes thought the same thing would have liked to see entire Loft/bedroom too
You saw it. They walked up the stairs then you saw them watching tv or playing a video game that was it. Nothing more to it than a place to sleep
This is the same model I will be building! Your house is absolutely beautiful! I'm so glad I bought the plans for the Linden before Tumbleweed stopped offering this model! I need to order my trailer from them soon because they said they are discontinuing the trailer! Agh!
A place for your board games! Now this.. this one is really lived in.
You should be very proud of urself cause u have built the cutest lil house I've saw so far .
Those stairs are almost invisible and take up practically zero space, great design
Seamless...I was wondering how they got up there in the back of my head while listening. It wasn't that obvious.
