Amy, you are always so upbeat in your videos, it really sets you apart! I know that whenever I do a massive training or racing effort , I really pay with a massive downer mood the day after. It got so predictable that I learned and vowed to not react to anything negatively on Monday mornings after a hard weekend of being a ultra weekend-warrior. I've since retired and don't quite have the same mojo anyway. I think you are a breath of fresh air and wish you the best. Cheers!
Congratulation Amy that was a terrific ride. Am so happy that you managed without any problem and we are so proud of your achievement. Kyle, we love you for being there for Amy you stood with her till the end.
Amy you are amazing, so great that this ride helped you get back into your happy place !! Congratulations on a great accomplishment and you had the perfect support team waiting for you, I’m sure it would have been fun to see what the boys were doing while you were out riding in the rain. Rest up for your next adventure. Also it’s always fun to see the notifications bell telling me that you’ve uploaded another fun cycling video. Stay well !!
Wow, fantastic effort. I’ve been struggling with anxiety etc this year and not sure what state I would be in if I couldn’t ride my bike. I’m glad I came across your channel, really inspiring, keep it up 👍
Well done, Amy. Fantastic effort. Love the Sungod glasses too. I'm trying to buy some too. Sponsors would be better investing in you to cover you cycling aspirations. You are inspirational, great fun, and very open and honest.
SO SO far out of my league! I’ll ride 65 mi tomorrow, almost all flat, and I’ll feel pretty good about it. Cannot imagine try to go 700 km in 24 hrs. WELL DONE!
Congratulations Amy, and chapeau Kyle for supporting! Note to the organisers - I appreciate it might be difficult to avoid A-roads over that distance, but you seemed to be on one most times you filmed (I always aim to avoid them). Well done on keeping safe and well done Kyle on finding that apple, I feared for you for a moment!😄
If you can afford one around £250 get the Gore shake dry Gortex rain jacket, had mine a few years totally waterproof and breathable a bit of kit that actually does what it says on the label
Been waiting for this episode since you announced it on your other social media. What an amazing ride in absolutely dreadful conditions you’ve shown a tremendous strength of character in your first 24h TT event. Looking forward to your PBP adventure now… Just one question as a cycling fan and a foodie… dying to know what curry you have to treat yourself 😂 Curries are the best post ride meal… Don’t ever stop what you’re doing on this channel it’s infectious. Thank you
Great job Amy!! You're a flyer on wheels! And thanks for opening up about low mood. I was starting to envy your upbeat nature!!Far too chirpy😂We all go through our darker clouds and believe we'll come through! Keep on rollin'!!
Great ride Amy. I loved every minute of it too! Don’t tell my family but I can’t wait to be back next year- maybe a lighter bike for me! The support of riders, my team, marshals and even other people’s supporters was fab 🥰. Have a great year and look forward to seeing your next adventure 🚴🏼♀️🚴🏼♀️
Start of video.... have you just finished painting the house? Wow well done =) My record is 495km back in 2019 on the open road, I really need to commit to besting that.
@@amy.cycling.adventures never thought about 24TT organised event, I think I'll settle for open road/own route again next year. Even pondered whether to squeeze on in before PBP.
Amy, just wanted to say that staying cheerful despite it chucking it down shows you are mentally there, your fitness is clearly excellent, you were obviously on top of the eating (and the segment at the start shows you have it well planned ahead, not just winging it), and your pacing was on point. Everything is in place to absolutely nail PBP. Just thinking that no bib shorts would have stood up to 24 hours in that rain - were you able to change into a dry pair half way?
Hats off to you. That was impressive! Know what you mean about highs and lows but exercise is a great healer. Also full marks to Kyle for supporting you and taking time out from ironing your table cloths. 👍😅
That was brilliant. You made it look so easy. I did the event a couple of years back and only managed 467 miles on a TT bike with no rain 🙈. It’s tough going that’s for sure.
Absolutely phenomenal ride young lady. I cannot get my head around how far you rode. No wonder your Kyle was emotional because that really is an amazing effort and you should be so proud of yourself. So much strength both physically and mentally to do that. Get in lass absolutely blummin fantastic Yiippeeee👏👏👏
wow just wow !! amazing effort , what an attitude and stamina , SUPERB !!! 👌, well done kyle for the back up duties , what a team you two are 👍👊🏻🚴♀️🥇💥
Well done Amy, and Kyle for supporting you 👌 that’s some miles, you make it look so easy, my all time favourite UA-camr, love watching cycling videos, do more 😂🙏 I know it’s very time consuming trying to edit when you work too 😊 happy cycling
Hello Amy, A big CONGRATULATIONS on getting third... I am really pleased to hear the added bonus of your mood improved as a result of the ride... Take care. Paul,,
Amy, you are one talented lady! 🎉 What an absolute corker of a ride😎💥👏👏 Was that Nige in the background, helping Kyle slurp all the beers down😂 Top support crew😁
That was incredible! No doubt you’ll hit the 400 miles next year... massive well done 🎉 I’ve recently completed my longest ever ride only a half century 50 milones but it’s massive for me....
When I do triathlons I write my number on my upper arm (permanent marker - takes a couple of days to wear off but all's good as it's a temporary souvenir!!) That way you can de-layer without worrying ♥️
Gracias Amy. Saludos.
Sometimes when you are feeling rough it can be accompanied by insight. Hopefully you found some here. Kyle is cool af and Amy a riot. Pretty nutso cycling accomplishments to boot. I dunno if you ever think about saddles, I used to cycle a lot and could never find a comfy saddle and eventually gave up cycling altogether because of it. Years later I found a brand called Selle SMP though and now I am back and have zero issues although not on the road any more just MTB. Anyway maybe someone will read this and it will help them. You have to get the angle right but once you do there is no looking back. Anyway great video as usual.
Can always get those clip on aero bars, not as good as a TT bike but definitely can make you faster on a road bike. Grand result! Nearly 400 miles with only a bit over an hour stopped time, super impressive!
I have done a few 12 Hr TTS so total respect for anyone doing the 24. On a TT bike surely with 11.5k subs a crowd funding or similar is way to go to win overall next year? I’m good for a tenner ;)
Amazing Amy, well done!! Just watched the TDF women today, passed near where I live in the south of France. With your upload today that's some awesome Girl Power!! 💪🏻
Baptism of fire ! Think a fair few packed in the rain. I think the enthusiasm of youth can get you through those prolonged bad weather rides than when u are older and liable to be a bit more grumpy lol.
Wow! What a ride! You want a time trial bike? They are so uncomfortable for that kind of distance. I built one up and yes they are fast, but pretty hard on the body with locked in position. I'm sure you could still do the ride, but your road bike is a given, the time trial bike is an unknown. Just my two cents Amy. Love your vids. Keep up the good work.
Great effort. I'm willing to bet you would have finished in first place with a few less or shorter stops for food and such. Maybe a large handlebar bag filled with food next time? I feel proud if I ride for more than an hour! Glad you're feeling better. A 24 hour ride would be the end of me.
Not watched one of your videos for a few weeks Amy. Watching this one now with a huge smile on my face. Thank you for your videos they’re just brill! No idea what that penguin was you were on about tho?! 👍
Thank you so much for watching, I couldn't think of it at the time but I was on about the puffles on 'club penguin' a computer game that was popular when I was a kid haha!
Congratulations! A question, if I may. I've never felt able to risk my trying such an effort on open roads. How busy/quiet is traffic on the loop? Is it regular A-road stuff w lorries, coaches etc? Thanks!
Excellent result Amy you are fab and inspiring many so don't let those thoughts have much of your attention Planning your nutritions was very smart. #santini sent this girl some shoe covers please. Well done Kyle and TTFN to you Amy

Brilliant. You are an inspiration. 400m miles is a long way to drive - never mind cycle. I have only ever done 100 miles once - 35 years ago !!
Ahh thank you! And well done on the 100 mile ride :D

Haha crunchy apple was on the mid for the last 10 miles so I was ready for it! thanks so much for watching :D

Awesome Amy and your first attempt at a tt. Beast of a performance :-) Good shout for the marshals too.
Thanks! 😊 yes the marshals were amazing :D
Wow what a ride, the mental strength needed to ride 24hrs us something I can't even comprehend 👏👏👏👏
Loved it what a team you guys make - wow, amazing achievement. Easily top 400 on a TT or full aero bike x
