Well done Amy on conquering your fear of the cobbles and completing the Paris Roubaix challenge 👍 Kyle is great for you to bounce off any worries and he gives you the confidence to complete any challenge 😊 plus all your followers were all routing for you to do it 👌 fantastic 🥳😊
Thanks so much 🫶 so true! Very grateful for Kyle and all of you!
@@amy.cycling.adventures 💕👍
When I rode the 2019 Birmingham Velo for Cure Leukaemia there was over 18,000 cyclists at the start, and yes both myself and my wife Maria were a little apprehensive, even daunted, fortunately we’d upgraded to priority start time so went off within the first hour, once we started and settled into our rhythm we were ok. However there were cyclists racing past thinking it was a timed event and going for the quickest time! 🤷♂️
@@amy.cycling.adventures Just curious! aren't you guys riding the wrong direction in the Velodrome?
@@mracer8 I noticed that too, and yes they were. However the racers rode it in the intended direction (I saw a clip on Katie Kookaburra's channel).
Another great video, some great footage of the cobbles & Santini John is comedy gold!
Glad you enjoyed it! Yes he is, love him!
So glad you finished safely. On March 9th I broke both elbows on a gravel bike crash.
Oh no!!! So sorry to hear that! Hope you recover well 🫶
Love it, the art was a person on a couch the wheels where rolls at each end of the couch. Fab video as always. Thanks.
Over 20,000 of us out here were feeling every one of those cobbles with you. Well done !!
Thank you 🫶
Firsthand experience will last forever! Thought it will be a Brick Award for champs of charitable cause!
Well done both of you 😊
Redshift bar and seat post next time ??
I still say you need a *_RedShift ShockStop_*_ suspension stem_ for your gravel bike; it really is a game changer!! But _congratulations_ Amy (and Kyle & Jon), way to persevere.
Thanks so much 🫶
Game changer - suspension 😊. Rubber is a crap, but it's better than nothing
@@sim999 the ShockStop does not rely on _rubber_ -- there are two different densities of polymer, which can be swapped to change the "suspension" effect
@@malcontent_1 I know, I had Redshift. It's veird stuff, which should replace suspension - but it's not. Eventually - Gravel will be like full XC 😆, but with dropbars geometry
Fantastic effort, very cool to see the other side of the race. Also fair play for riding all the cobbles and not riding on the side.
Woah, what an amazing ride that must have been. Would really love to do it but I think that having reached the age of 83 it won’t be happening. Congratulations to you and Kyle.
Ahh thank you!! It was a great experience 😍
Good day, Amy & Kyle! What a trembling but satisfying experience! Nice jersey! Safe ride/vlogging! GOD Bless Always!
I want to keep pressing the like button, well done both, inspiring as usual! Another awesome video!
Thank you so much 🫶 glad you enjoyed it ☺️
Hello from Sydney, Australia.
HUGE FAN.
Congrats on a monumental and epic achievement. Fantastic video of this fabulous adventure. You should feel so very proud of what you both did. A true inspiration to ALL of us fellow cycling enthusiasts.
WELL DONE. 🚴❤️🚴
Thank you so much 🤍🫶
Congratulations on your ride & raising money for your charity. It was nice to briefly meet you at the registration on Friday afternoon. I was the 20 stone guy ;) I did the 145km too, albeit slightly slower than yours!
Thank you! Ahh yes great to meet you, well done on completing the ride! Hope you enjoyed it ☺️
It was great fun! Great weekend over there! Tuscany Trail for me next year…
What a fantastic turnout. Well done to all of you. 😊😊
Thank you! ☺️🫶
Huge respect to you both. loved hearing your self pep talk along the first section - I constantly talk to myself on the bike. Lovely to see Santini John.
It always helps to positive self talk 🎉🎉 and yes we love Jon 🙌
A worthy cause. I must say I’ve been with you since video 1 and your channel has gone from strength to strength. As you know, Kyle is your greatest asset. You are becoming UA-cam’s greatest cycling couple. Still would love to see more of your dad and his cans of soup though, Amy.
Thanks so much!! 🫶 Kyle is the main man 🎉 haha yes we need to get him in more! He’s currently enjoying himself on a walking getaway in Wales
congrats for you and kyle you are brave yooooo
Absolutely fabulous Amy and Kyle. Doing such a monument ride together ..so many memories made
Thank you! Yes lots of memories made 🎉
What a great record of the Hell of the North. This really depicts it how it is. Thank you Amy and Kyle. Hope the hands are OK. I did a sportive once and 2 of my fingers were numb for 3 months.
Thank you 🫶 healing well thank you!! Ohh glad we don’t have the numbness!
Good effort. The cobbles are brutal. One word - Redshift 👍
*_Ditto_* 👆 I've also been promoting the Redshift ShockStop stem to her. Hopefully, she'll grab on as she continues her gravely adventures. And not that it matters, but Nic (owner of Backyard Bike Shop in Newcastle), as well as Francis & Jimmi (of Cade Media) absolutely love them.
@@malcontent_1 Francis not so much.. But i do like mine after i got set up with the right polymers inside. Had it set to stiff at first.
@@redauwg911 I thought Franny had one on that alloy Decathlon bike that he just took on the SE Asia trip -- perhaps, I was mistaken. (It was incompatible w/ the top end Scott bikes that he _used to ride_ due to their integrated bar/stem cockpits.)
@@redauwg911 👌checked, he just used the stock alloy stem on the Decathlon Triban 520
@@malcontent_1 Yea i told Chris Hall he should try one after breaking both his wrists . But he put a suspension fork on instead.. lol
Wonderful to hear one yippee along the course. Well done to you and Kyle. Hope the blisters heal soon!
Thank you! They’re healing well 🙌
Well done Amy and Kyle! Next year try riding the top of the bars instead of the brake levers on the cobbles. You can also double wrap the bars.
Thank you!! Haha if we do it next year 😅
Congrats to both of u 👍👍
Well done to you both, I get pins & needles and pain in me hands riding on tarmac never mind on cobbles...well done again....
'Ull' east yorkshire.
Thank you ☺️🫶
Brilliant video, great achievement and donation given - well done Amy and Kyle - that was a tough day out xx
Thank you SO MUCH ☺️☺️
That was a wonderful ride and I'm sure the experience has boosted your confidence in gravel rides as well. but guess what we've knocked over 20k. I'm so proud of this far we've come.
oooh my man Kyle you did wonderful work out there we love you as well.
Thank you! And I know I literally can’t believe it!! That was a nice surprise when I finished the ride 🤯 yes Kyle is the best 🎉🎉
Well done Amy, well done Kyle. BRILLIANT video! Super-nice hotel review .....don't think I'll be stopping there in a hurry 😇!! TT to the FN 🙂❤ !
Fantastic Amy & Kyle on conquering the cobbles absolutely loved the vid must of been an absolute buzz - best solution for the blister prevention is fabric tape also I know they say you shouldn't remove a blister - me personally as I've done lots and lots over the years as a runner pop the blister pinch it lift it up and with some little surgical scissors cut round it, get fresh air to it it will dry out in a few days end of. Keep up the cracking vids...
Thank you!!
Well done to both of you - Great ride!!
Thank you ☺️
Great work, both you and Kyle. I love the room review at the end. Also, Leukotape for the blisters. Now that you have them, you will know where to put tape in the future. Not sure if you can get Leukotape in the UK. Amazon?
31:45 Kyles' area lol
Thank you!!
Great video, as was your preview one yesterday. You really are going from strength to strength as a content creator.
Aww thanks! Glad you like the videos 🫶
Congratulations Amy for overcoming your initial anxiety. Great effort by you and Kyle; the sound effects of riding over the cobbles gives a great in-sight into how challenging the ride was. Well done!!
Thank you!! Yes defo a challenge! 😅
Of course it was good watching you (pleural) that we already know but I loved the friendliness of others that waved, said 'bonjour' or 'salut' as they passed!
Awesome video and POV view of the Arenberg cobbles, they look and feel like hell.Safe riding.💯👌🏻💪🏻🚴
Thank you 🫶
Well done to you and Kyle it's a huge achievement and don't forget you've just done an audax ❤🚲🚲
Thank you 🫶
Absolutely brilliant ride young lady. Be very proud of yourself. You and Kyle absolute machines 👏👏👏
Thanks so much!! 🫶
Very very well done you both are amazing and a joy to watch as usual! Well done lovely John too!! Hope your poor hand heals soon now have a rest! Love the room reviews 😅😂
Thanks so much 🫶 hands healing well 🙌 yes we LOVE Jon he’s the best 🎉
Congrats and great job!! Thanks for letting us experience this through your view! Hope your blisters heal up quickly, ouch. Love the review at the end, gave me a good laugh.
Thanks so much 🫶 yes they’re healing well 🫶
Super fun video. You can hear your bike and see the vibration in the other riders as they pass yet the Gopro image stabilization is rock solid. Very impressive! Congrats on breaking 20k subs!
Thanks so much!! Yes haha the go-pro makes it look easier than it was 😂😂
Loved this one, well done on conquering your fears. It's definitely a one to do then never again ride. Hope Kyle waits on you hand and foot while the war wound heals. Well done. x
Thanks so much 🫶 don’t worry he has been 😂 although the hands are healing now so I can’t use it for too much longer 😂
@@amy.cycling.adventures shame that, can't you use something to make it look worse than it is, a bit like man flu is?
Bloody well done Amy and Kyle. Had my 🤞🏻 for you the whole ride.
Thank you!! ☺️
Congratulations, what an epic ride.
Well done to all of you for completing.
Thank you!
You’re absolute heroes ❤❤.
Well done both, that looked awesome. I did cobbles in Belgium but they didn't seem as rough as some of those. I think you should have a 'challenge Amy and Kyle' part of the channel. Don't think there's owt you couldn't do 💪🏽
Thank you!! Ohh maybe we will try Belgium next year! Ohh haha we do have some challenges planned already this year but that’s a good idea - Kyle would be up for food challenges 😂😂
@@amy.cycling.adventures I bet he would, like how many sausage rolls can you eat in 100 miles? 🤣
Just found your channel, Amy and Kyle. Love it! Fun and inspiring. Getting back into biking over here in Canada. Subscribed!
Thanks so much!! Welcome to the channel 🤗 enjoy your rides in Canada!! That’s in the bucket list to visit 😍
Well done guys that was fantastic to watch you nailed it
Thank you! 🫶🙌
Congrats👏👏 I didnt know there is such event. Nice to know.
Thank you! 🫶 entries with Cure Leukaemia open this week for next year 👀
Congratulations to all 4 of you. Great achievement. You rode the 3 hardest 5* sectors really impressive
Thanks so much!
Thank you for your video. You have to go to Val Gardena bike day! It’s amazing. Dolomites are unforgettable.
Thank you glad you enjoyed it 🫶 ohh yes Dolomites are on the bucket list!
Hello Amy,
A big CONGRATULATIONS on completing your first Paris Roubaix...
Take care.

Thank you 🫶☺️
Nice ride and great to hear about the various snacks on the way. What a stunning hotel the last place you stayed at was! Epic!
Thanks for watching 🫶☺️
Brilliant, Well done Amy and Kyle, loved watching this mini series, I'm not sure if Kyle likes the cycling or the food more 😀
Haha i think the food defo helps with motivation 😂
Great work guys! What an experience!
Thank you!! Yes one to remember!
Watch out Lotte Kopecky, here comes Amy!! It is fabulous to see you and Kyle completing all of these adventures, well done!
Thank you!! And thanks for watching along 🫶
Well done Amy - it was, always my ambition to do the P B
sportive, at !eas t now I've seen what it's like, even.if unlikely to.do it.
Another great video. Thank you both.
Ahh thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video and good luck if you do give it a try! ☺️
Great stuff, well done to the both of you. I love your videos. Not done the roubaix sportive but done plenty of belgian cobbles.
Thank you!! Maybe we will try Belgian next year!
Wow what a great ride and adventure.. well done guys.. Pete
Thank you! ☺️
Great ride for a great cause! ❤
Thank you 🙌🫶
Well done Amy , nothing to bee worry about hod wonderful time and plenty of food Agen you gist hafto red at your own pas and take your time and it bee ok🎉🎉❤.
Loving the vids
Well done to the both of you, a brilliant adventure
Thank you 🫶
Another great video. Pro tip: don't wear gloves, they are made to protect your hands when you fall. They actually will make the blisters worse on cobbles!
Congrats and thanks for a great video that I can show my friends and family what it was like as I rode the 145Km route too! 🙂 I had no issue with sore hands though - but I did run 42ùù Specialized Pathfinder tires on my Trek Checkpoint gravel bike...
Ahh thank you!! Well done on completing it hope you enjoyed it too!
Well done team, very brave riding the cobbles. You`ll be back to ride them again i`m sure, i said i wouldn`t ride the Fred Whitton again but i went back again the following year. Chapeau.😃👍
Haha I’m already thinking about Flanders 😂
@@amy.cycling.adventures oh wow! Couple of my friends did Flanders lastyear, they said it was brutal😉
Amy you are a Machine!!🚴♀
Those Santini jerseys look awesome. Congrats on channeling your Lizzile Diegnan. 5 star video.
Thanks so much 🫶
Great room review as usual from the both of you, I’m new to your channel and not really into cycling but I love a room review
Ah thank you!! Glad you enjoy the vids ☺️
Well done both 👍👍
Thank you so much 😀
Great achievement the pair of you, very envious. On the hotel the lack of amenities this one of the reasons they are so cheap - I've stayed in hotels all over France and whilst they are basic in most respects they are always clean and dry.
Thank you! Yes true 😅
Good going on the cobbles Amy, you rode really well. Kyle was flying.
Thank you ☺️
The hotel room review was the icing on the cake 😂😂😂
😂😂
Well done guys!! Amy, you may have held the handlebars to tight. Relax the sholders and just rest your hands onto the handlebars. I know, easier said than done! Great effort by you and Kyle, Chapeau!!!
Thank you 🫶 yes haha I was scared 😂
Well done , I did carrefore dlabre on a Brompton last year which was interesting 😮
Well done Amy, full marks for effort. The beauty of drop bars is the ability to change your hand position to give them a rest from being permanently on the hoods.
Thank you! Yes defo!
Well done amy you did great glad it was dry for you
Thank you! Yes I was glad too 🙌
@@amy.cycling.adventures enjoying your videos a lot just discovered them impressed with your long rides look forward to the next one
Well done getting around without to many issues !. The Weather is everything for that ride.. A foul day would probably turn it into something a whole lot more traumatic :).
Yes 100% we were SO GLAD for the good weather ☺️
Keep pedaling , Keep Pedaling , Well done Amy on the Trouée d’Arenberg, You and Kyle Superstars.
Thank you!!
To yourself & Kyle, chapeau, both of you are hard as…great job. 👍
Thank you 🫶
Well done to you all. Perhaps you could do an Interview with Santini John at some time in the future so we can learn more about him. He certainly seems to be a character!!
Yes defo!! He’s the best, sooo funny!
congrats on completing course! felt really painful, I think you oughta try a redshift stem on your gravel bike, it really reduces that sting and saves your arms on long brutal sections like that.
Thank you!! Ohh yes if I ever did it again!
Well done Guys, you done magnificently! I can confirm Mons en Pevele 5* 3KM was horrendous!!!! You must have started really early? Well done agin and i trust you will return 😂
It was horrible that 3km one!! Hope you enjoyed it!! We started at 7.30ish ☺️
Massive credit for that. Proper impressed.
Question for you - Bikes at the hotel? What was the parking like?
Lot of the pro's did not wear gloves - reason being, took the friction away between the glove and hands and less likely to get blisters. They also ride with hands on the tops or drops a lot - reducing time with hands on the hoods on the cobble sectors.
If you want the padding without gloves double wrap the handlebar tape is the tip you often see.
Thank you!!
Car park underground at the hotel & you can bring your bike to your room if you want to - other people did that ☺️
And yes I think the gloves made it worse 🥹🥹
Congratulations. Never doubted that you would complete the ride Amy after completing PBP last year. It's one of the most hallowed and venerable places in cycling history. I hope you enjoyed the vibe.
One key point about the ibis - where were you able to store the bikes?
Thank you! Yes has a great time 🫶🙌
@@amy.cycling.adventures "One key point about the ibis - where were you able to store the bikes?" - That would interest me too :)
We had the bikes in the van in underground car park at the Ibis, but other people took their bike to their room - not sure how they squeezed it in the lift 😂
Wow. So brave on those cobbles, don't think I would manage with those bone shakers.
Thank you! Haha just had to grit my teeth and go for it 😅
Arenberg looked pretty quiet , you should try Tour of Flanders next year, cobbled climbs, they're awesome !
Ohhh I might be tempted!
What tire size and pressure on the cobbles for Rella, please?
38s and 40psi ☺️
Redshift sponsorship coming I think redshift for the win , well done both of you
Well done, Amy & Kyle, you conquered those cobbles! A mate did this event, just over 91 milonies I believe.
Yes that’s right! Thanks so much ☺️
Well done. I will donate tomorrow. Treat yourself to a track taster session. I did it at the Olympic Park in London. It was fantastic. You would love it. A bit of a change from the road. I am sure Kyle would enjoy it.
Thank you so much 🫶 ohh yes that sounds fun!
@@amy.cycling.adventures I got to the top. Once you have done it once, all you want to do it get up there again 😀
I appreciate Kyle's postscript commentary about the missing kettle, tea and biscuits. 😜🙃 Hmph! Where are we, back in the Dark Ages?
😂😂
Well done both of you. I don't think I would have enjoyed it very much myself but as you said, it is for charity, so get on with it despite a bit of discomfort. Just wondering, is Kyle considering becoming a cobble layer now? 🤣
Thank you!! Haha he says he’s considering ripping the cobbles up, we do need our drive block paving so he should have brought some home for that!
Bucket list, tick - well done to you both.
and to John. Loved commentary / chat at the end and recommendations. Santini gear on my list now ! Help John, discount vouchers ?
Thanks so much!
Congratulations on completing the course guys, amazing effort😊Those cobbles were brutal, all for charity though so whats a little pain?😉
Thanks so much! And exactly 🫶
Well done guys that was brilliant
Thank you!!
Good job for a great caused.
lindo vídeo e boa sorte
Thank you!
A big Thanks to people and organization in France for keeping and repairing all those cobblestone road and not paved it over!
Brilliant 😊
I would think the gauze is just extra fabric to cause more chafing. Blisters are usually caused by gloves that don’t fit well. By fit, I mean gloves that are not too tight or too loose, and most importantly are the right shape for your hands. In my years of mtn biking, I actually think badly fitting gloves are worse than no gloves. Other than that, the better you get at bike handling, the less tight you actually grab the bars.
Yes I think it was the gloves 🥹🥹
