Good for Elizabeth! She put that awful Hoffman in her place when she told her that Barnabas Collins was a Collins (and darn proud of it) and that the name had integrity. She stood up for our hero vampire, and I admire that! The terrifying dream showed that Maggie had been killed. Elizabeth must really worry about that young lady. I like Elizabeth Stoddard! ~Janet in Canada
@emilyannfrancesmay3919 The only powers I've seen that cane have is when he fought the werewolf in 1968 and he discovered the silver had it's powers to frighten the wolf away. Same method he used against the werewolf(Quentin) in 1897.
I have some of those Dark Shadows novels. In one of them, Barnabas' cane has a sword hidden inside it. In another story he uses the silver hsndle of his cane to ward off a werewolf! A wondrous cane, indeed! ~Janet in Canada
Just love about 15.15 or so when Liz tells Hoffman off!

Was it ever made known if Barnabas' cane had some supernatural powers or was a conduit for them?
Not to my knowledge. It was greatly admired and it was silver, but this was the first time it wad made to sound supernatural, to my knowledge.
