The UA-cam Algorithm is clever. It's probably picked up on seed starting season making gardening videos popular around March and starts boosting these awesome gardening videos around this time intentionally.
East Coast garden hype man! JP and Tuck grow in REAL conditions. In California, everything grows. Getting his harvest in zone 6 like that is so impressive.

Just received my Team Grow Seed 4 cell seedling starter trays and lids. They are definitely stronger and better quality than any other I have purchased from very well known sources. I was shocked at how fast I received my shipment as well and packaged well with no waste! So wonderful! I am right now ordering putting in another order for the 10"X10" Seed Starting Bundle. I am so impressed that I am on the Team Grow site ordering Standard 6 cell seedling starter trays with lids! I can see where I will not have to purchase starter trays every year using these high quality strong trays and lids. Thank you for sourcing such wonderful products!
❤ thanks for being caring to Tuck and so knowledgeable. You help everyone who follows you with their self sufficiency and you enhance skill levels with such great ideas. Thanks James
I so love to see Tuck. I lost my Yorkie who I had for 16 years. I miss him. But, looking at Tuck brings back memories of love that I had for my baby. I so enjoy your tips and tricks. Keep it coming. Great video as always. I’m growing in zone 7 and your the only UA-camr I know that is in the same zone. I wish you had a guide pdf/ video of when you sow what and when you transplant it out. This would be so helpful and appreciated. Love this video thank you.

Flowers are a must for getting pollinators in, even daisies, sweet peas, anything easy to grow will bring in the "good" bugs, helping get rid of the destructive bugs.

Tuck is the best! Thanks for the wonderful spring planting tips! I just bought Borage and Marigold while I was watching this video because I had forgotten them.
I'd like to say I'm able to secure single use pots - pint size - plus racks that hold the 18 pots. For some of you who live near nursery businesses you might be able to get recycled free pots and racks. My local tree farm will throw all these things away. I've gotten hundreds of these. Hundreds of single use grow bags, tiny heavy plastic 2x2 pots, and trays of plugs with 36 or 48 slots. Get creative and you might be able to secure potting supplies free and recycle at the same time.

German camomile grows like a weed here (in germany;) And that is fine in my Garden. It surpresses the real annoying weeds. And looks awesome mixed with the red poppies (also came Natural) and the purple phacelia. Saved some seed from wild borage and other wild herbs and flowers, looking Forward to an awesome Garden year.

great video Borage is indeed a wonderfull crop, you can eat the flowers too very tasty! it also has one of the best nectar flow for any plant infact, also the blue/pinkish flowers stand out for the bee's they come back year after year if you just let them die to frost, great plant
Thank you for all your good info. Your videos are so helpful because I also live here in New Jersey. We have had some nice weather recently for prepping my beds. I also just purchased the metal raised beds and have been working on getting them ready. It’s a little challenging because it’s still quite early to be starting and the garden shops don’t always have the supplies you need yet. I had to order some mushroom compost to add to my mix and luckily I have a lot of compost I have been working on and is now ready to add to my beds. I recently added some chickens to the family last year which they are hard workers in my compost pile 😂. I also purchased some frost cloth for covering the beds and will also help with those pesky critters.
Hi James, this video was super helpful! I have tried starting marigolds for three years with no success. I know, supposed to be easy lol. Followed your instructions and after only three days I have success!!! Super great full, thank you! Hi Tuck!
I just love the way you explain stuff. I live in Norway(originally from Alabama) and I do exactly those plants you mention. I just wished I had longer seasons for the tomatoes. Keep up the good work!
I’ve read borage helps keep hornworms away. I grew it one year and it did seem to help. I stopped growing veggies shortly after tho bc they just never do well for me. I started focusing on tropicals and live propagating them. I’m also in NJ, but zone 6b. You must be at the shore in zone 7. Lucky duck!! Watching your videos gives me inspiration tho to start growing veggies again. I love how your entire back yard is your food garden. Our landscaper raised his lawn cutting prices this year significantly (understandable). I suggested to my husband if we make our whole yard a veggie garden then we don’t need to mow!
Have decided you plant about the same time as I do, my springs are late, but can become hot very fast, but still could get a late frost in late spring to early summer. Garden inland Canterbury New Zealand. Work backwards from last frost to when tomatoes should be sown.
Thanks James and Tuck for. Advice on not starting seeds early, my kitchen is full of tomatoes and pepper and eggplants waiting to go out. However, I cannot seem to get any lettuce or brasicas to get going. I'm gonna give it another try. ❤❤❤
I like to sow my spinach into a cold frame in September rather than wait until the spring (I don't put the cover on until the weather gets cold). I've even overwintered it under an overturned clear plastic tote. This way, I get a much earlier and more abundant harvest before the first spells of heat in May cause it to bolt. Most years, we celebrate New Year's Day with our first spinach salad of the season! Occasionally, like this mild winter, we enjoy a salad or 2 during the cold months, then by mid March, look out, we can't keep up with it. By just picking the outer leaves, we harvest it until mid-late May when a hot, humid spell will take it out. I'm in Southern Ontario, Zone 6b, where we do not have consistent snow cover to protect it.
Share this video if you are excited for Spring! 🌱

Thanks for all of the growing suggestions!
We love Tuck and look forward to see him along with your amazing gardening video.❤
Love Tucker and your content. You are clear not to detailed and understandable. TY❤️
Thanks for the tips! Love the channel and Yorkies are the BEST! Mad props for mastering your gardening skills in Jersey!
I love his channel.
I also live in NJ, Bergen county. I have been trying to get my garden set every year. For far I’m on yr 4 and my best yr was 1&2.
This will be my first year growing borage. Thanks for all the helpful tips
Great video. Hi Tuck ❤❤. I sure love the seed trays with the individual dome lids. Great idea!! Happy planting everyone!
