Actually, the real Tituba was one of those acused of Witchcraft during the trials (she had started the whole thing by playing a voodoo-like "game" with some local teenage girls and was accused of "hexing" them!). She pleaded guilty and was released to her master. 19 others did not confess and were hanged and one man, Giles Corey, was "pressed to death" under rocks in order to get him to confess. He didn't.

It aired on Hits Channel a month ago. I loved how comedic and entertaining this show is. And I'm a Gen Z. 🤣 P.S: Samantha and Darrin's relationship is basically give and take. It was a bit biased towards Darrin's preference, but just a tiny bit (which is understandable coz this aired on the 60's, plus it's not that overpowering). He wouldn't force Sam to do what she really doesn't want, and Sam is the one who wants to hide her witch lineage. She wants to be normal, like Jacob's case in Twilight.
She has already been queen of the witches in my book, well at least since the 1960's she has been. I can't imagine anyone else doing the role of Samantha the way Elizabeth Montgomery did or anyone else playing Endora the way Agnes Moorehead did. I would say the same about Darrin too but, well, we all know what happened there. Here's a question. Who do you think played a better Darrin? Although Dick Sargent wasn't a bad actor, I definitely preferred Dick York playing Darrin. He just has the intensity and facial expressions to make it believable. Dick Sargent seemed like a more laid back Darrin to me and I just never really felt he was the best person for this role, not because he couldn't do it but because Dick York did such an amazing job it's hard for anyone to compare. Here's another question. If you didn't care for Dick Sargent playing the role of Darrin, is there someone you think would have been better suited for this role??
CHARMED took three witches to do what one witch in Sam's world could do. It was OK. I liked both actors who played Darrin, but if I were to make a choice, i'd go little bit more with Dick Sargent's Darrin for a couple of reasons. First, in my opinion, his Darrin was less volitile and for me kinder to Sam. Second, the relationship had matured. Darrin is more accepting of who Sam is. He even says that in a couple of season seven episodes, Dick York's Darrin does the same at the end of this episode, after a bartender reminds of it, and another episode later on in season four. The two Darrin's have that in common. Finally, it had been reported that Dick York didn't like the way they wrote his characterized at times. He felt that it took away from the love story theme of the show. Oh, just a thought. There seems to be less scenes in bars and less smoking in later episodes.

Hello it's seems like your are a big fan of 60s movies like myself. I like the clothes (they're so classy) and decorations as well especially Samantha's house. Take care! 🎊 🎊 🎊 🎊 🎊
Which Darrin do I prefer? Both. That's not a cop out. For me, I look at the two Darrins as an evolution of the character and their marriage. York's character was hypersensitive to his wife's use of witchcraft. Sargent's Darrin was more accepting of who Sam is. In OKAY. WHOSE THE WISE WITCH?, Sam suggests that she pop Darrin outside. Unlike York's Darrin, who might have exploded, Sargent's Darrin calmly told Sam that he doesn't tolerate witchcraft. Sam said, "Well, OK." Darrin said, "Start popping." I'll give Dick York's Darrin credit. He told Sam in FOLLOW THAT WITCH, Part 2, "Do your worse." But overall, Sargent's Darrin was calmer and more tolerant. York's Darrin had to adjust being married to the most powerful being on the planet. Having Sam tell her husband, on their wedding night, that she's a witch was a shock. He weighed what she'd told him and he still stayed with her, because he knew this was the right woman for him. Actually, the idea that the marriage had evolved over five years was Dick Sargent's idea, from what i've heard. I've also heard Elizabeth Montgomery say the same thing. In any case, I have favorite episodes throughout the series, in every season. Oh, if one wants to talk about chemistry, it shows up in ALL eight seasons. Even more importantly, these people were friends offset. I've seen photos of Liz, York, and Kasey Rogers at a function. I've read where she invited the cast and crew to their home. After the show, they went their ways and lost contact with one another. It wouldn't he until 1989 that she would get back in contact with David White and Dick Sargent, through her soon to be biographer and author of BEWITCHED FOREVER Herbie Pilato. She had to the numbers from him. Great cast, wonderful stories, and the messages of BEWITCHED. Love it. Too me, answering which is my favorite Darrin is a little more complicated than just picking between the two actors.
Samantha’s coronation as the Queen Elizabeth of Witches went to an unexpected problem that Samantha’s husband Stephen doesn’t believe in witches and often loathe them to extreme.

I came to the comments to see if anyone noticed. I was expecting to see a black lady too but I know why I didn’t. It is odd to see this lady and have to call her Tituba 😆.
I find it interesting that Samantha played up the storyline that she was the queen, but within two years or so, the show all but dropped it. I think it would have been good if it had mentioned when they went to Salem for the coven. A throwaway line like, “Besides, I’m the queen; I have to go.”
I think in the Salem episodes they refer to her as "ex-queen Samantha" (implying she served for a year and then abdicated as she said she was going to).
