The episode is "What Every Young Man Should Know." If you can find a way to watch it, then you should; it's a great one. Darren goes through several emotional stages in order to process the information and the ending is wonderful.
Why would she, the character, say that she is a cauldron stirring, broom riding, house haunting witch? She never did any of those activities, except to make a point, or to affect a specific outcome. In fact, in at least one episode, she vehemently objected to being stereotyped as such. The writing for this show was not consistent, but I still loved this show a lot.

I think Endora is upset because Darren won't let her daughter be herself, he treats her like doing witchcraft is wrong. Except when it helps him out of a jam.
@@wurly164 Samantha had already been living as a mortal before she met Darrin (like in this clip), and I don't think Endora wanted to imagine the possibility that her daughter would willingly give up witchcraft, so blamed it on Darrin. He does repeat the sentiment, but technically it was Samantha's choice first.
@@stanloretta92 she may have been living in the mortal world, but as seen in this very clip, she was going to make dinner but didn't bring anything so she was planning on whipping something up out of thin air.
@@wurly164 In this episode where she planned to use that moment in time to prove she was a witch, yes, she brought nothing with her. In the "real" timeline, she probably brought the food with her before Darrin proposed.

Some people like off-beat good looks. For example, I think Brad Pitt is boring because he's just too perfect. It's hard to explain, but imperfections make people sexy.
@@patricialinguissi8732 Really? His name was Darrin? Are you sure it wasn't Dauphin, Darwin or Derwood? And I remember the 1960's having lived through them myself. And, at least where I lived, people did NOT wear suits near as often as you think. The men may have put on a tie for a more formal occasion; but I promise, no man put on a suit to eat dinner in his own apartment; not even if his girlfriend was coming. Don't forget that the influence from the hippies dressing extremely casually had a lot of influence on men. Now if Dorian had put on a Nehru jacket, that I would have believed.
@@cymruisrael Wikipedia for "hippies" says, "A hippie (sometimes spelled hippy) is a member of the counterculture of the 1960s, originally a youth movement that began in the United States during the mid-1960s and spread to other countries around the world." And "Bewitched" ran on television between 1964 until 1972. So this was exactly at that same time. I was born in the 50's, so I remember the 1960's. And there were still plenty of counterculture people even before the mid 1960's and these people were called "beatniks."
People who are too young to remember think everyone dressed like the characters on Mad Men in the 1960's and really the characters on Mad Men were closer to the way people dressed in the 1950's, not the 1960's. Really the point at which the 1950's ended in term of fashion and style was about the time John Kennedy was assassinated. Things were much different after 1963, relative to before 1963.

After she proved it by twitching a full course dinner on his table, and admitted EVERYONE in her family are witches {and warlocks}, she asked, "Now that you know, does that make any difference?"
DARRIN: (somewhat nervous) "Uh, NO! No-no-no-no-no, of course not! Why SHOULD it? I mean, what's the difference? Well, who cares about a little thing like THAT?"
SAMANTHA: (walking over to him) "Oh, Darrin-----"
DARRIN: (terrified) "DON'T TOUCH ME!!!!!"
*he dashes out of his apartment*
And cut it before the reaction!
Wait, he invited her for dinner in his appartment so SHE could cook him dinner?
Really lol cut it off right there?

Merry meet to all the real Witches watching!
I like Endora better in black and white!! I watch the reruns every day.
How could she have died so young? I just don't get it.
DarkFlamage she was filming a movie and thought she just had the flu when started feeling ill. She didn’t seek medical treatment at that time. Robert Foxworth had to talk her into seeing a Dr., but by that time the cancer had gone into her liver and there was nothing they could do for her.
Elizabeth died of colon cancer.she probably didn't have symptoms until it was in advanced stage
.
Why show this if you can’t finish the scene? Disappointed ☹️
To hook and reel you in, of course.

If anyone wants to watch Bewitched online, they can online on dailymotion.com or therokuchannel.roku.com/watch/c1e69f6857a85dd18f198d603fd27bb7.
To make it easier just type therokuchannel.roku.com and search for Bewitched. You can pick the season you want watch. Right now, one can pick seasons 1 - 4. They then will list seasons 5 - 8 after a while.
I have loved this series for many years and the great cast starting with the lovely and talented Elizabeth Montgomery. She was not only a charming person, she cared about people and animals.
Darrin and I..
i like Bewithed but enough with the inlaw humor!!!!!!First Bewitched, then All in the Family..with a political twist, then Everybody Loves Raymond Let's get back to sexy humor, like on Three's Company RIP LIz,AGnes and D York and D sergent say hi to Paul Lynde for me,also
As a child I loved Endora but as an adult one sees her as so very manipulative and not supportive of her daughter’s choice in life 😔
I think Endora is upset because Darren won't let her daughter be herself, he treats her like doing witchcraft is wrong.
And once again on UA-cam they only show u a clip of it id wish they or whoever put this up would stop doing that its very annoying AF

Seriously, is there any lady here that thinks Dick York is handsome? He's a great actor and all, but handsome?
Some people like off-beat good looks. For example, I think Brad Pitt is boring because he's just too perfect. It's hard to explain, but imperfections make people sexy.
Howard Wiggins I’ve never thought of Brad Pitt as hot. He’s good looking, but not what I find appealing in a man.
@@ToutCQJM leo dicaprio is who's hot!
Never did liked the Davin chacter. He was a controlling jerk.
Dumbo wears a suit and tie to have dinner in his own apartment? If I was Samantha, I don't think I would have married Darius for that reason alone!
What do you expect it's was the 60s style. People were wearing suits all the time. Plus his name is Darrin not Darius.
@@faithfulforever6331 This was waaay before hippies.
Theres sum thing i have to tell you. X im pregnant
Is she pregnant in this?
Liz WAS pregnant during the filming of the pilot episode.
Not in this particular episode.

So many fake shadows sane as life seen it all same screen shot wow get me off this grid all that green
Is just me or were both Darrin actors not that handsome and so the match was a tad odd
this was still a good show the character of aunt clara would not be though, the elderly would be upset although, lorne was good in the part rip miss lorne ,agnes and d white!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why on earth was she going to his apartment to cook him dinner. Archaic even in the 60s. Ugh. I hated Darrin's character as a very small child. Knew it was sexism then. Know it now. This show was riddled with racism as well. Ugh.
Stop whining.
{facepalm}
Want to see Sam back to witch trials
A ha
Endora always with that terrible outfit.
And make-up.
Dumb clip ...does not show his reaction.
