कि शहीद कैप्टन श्री अंशुमान सिंह जी के माता-पिता अभी भी दिल में ये इच्छा रखते हैं कि अगर स्मृति सिंह अभी भी वापिस परिवार में आ जाए तो हमारा अंशुमान हमारे साथ होगा ।
माता जी हमेशा कहती थी स्मृति से कि तू ही मेरा अंशुमान है।
और वास्तव में मुझे भी ऐसा ही प्रतीत होता है
इसलिए कृपया मीडिया वालो से निवेदन है कि इस पारिवारिक और आत्मीय बन्धन में आई हलकी सी दरार पर्वत में परिवर्तित करके रिश्तों को दरकिनार करने की नाकामयाब कोशिश ना करें क्योंकि माता जी व पिता श्री का दिल ये नहीं चाहता कि अंशुमान हमारे बीच से आत्मीय रूप से यादों से विदा हों

कभी कभार कुछ बातों को लेकर थोडा मनमुटाव हो जाता है जैसे माता और बेटा में हो जाता है और स्मृति जी भी माता जी के लिए अंशुमान है
मेरी दिल और दिमाग की इच्छा यहीं है कि ये रिश्ता बना रहना चाहिए
माता-पिता स्मृति जी की हर दिल की इच्छा मानने को तैयार हैं।
अगर ये रिश्ता बना रहा तो शायद माता-पिता का दुःख काफी हद तक कम हो जाएगा ।
रही बात मनमुटाव की तो जब एक व्यक्ति अपने खोये हुए व्यक्ति को कुछ समय भूलकर अपनी जिंदगी वापिस से शुरू कर लेता है व खुश रहता है
और जब स्मृति सिंह माता जी श्री मंजू देवी जी से घर जाकर गले मिलेगी तो मैं मानता हूं कि माता जी को ऐसा अहसास होगा कि उनका अंशुमान वापिस आ गया है।
ईश्वर कृपा से अगर ऐसा शत-प्रतिशत संभव कार्य होता है तो मुझे भी एक अप्रतिम खुशी होगी और अमरशहीद कैप्टन साहब श्री अंशुमान सिंह जी जो आज हमारी यादों में अमर है उनकी आत्मा को भी एक अप्रतिम खुशी होगी।

For context, my dad is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian army, currently posted in high altitude.
There have been lots of opinions about the actions of the parents and wife of Captain Anshuman Singh(Kirti Chakra, posthumous), I will help clear the same.
I have seen the video and discussed the same with my dad, and here is what I know:
The will, or the NoK(next of kin) is filled out by the officer, and he may choose to name spouse or parents as NoK. My father has chosen my mother as NoK, and by extension me and my brother.
Next, the Army Insurance Fund. The split is decided by, again, the officer, which in this case was 50|50. In my dad's case is 70/30. So, of a total of around 1.1~ Cr, my mom gets around 78 and my grandma the rest(grandfather has passed away, was in the Air Force).
In this case, the state government released a fund of 50 Lac for the family, of which, the split was 35(wife), and 15(parents).
As Captain Anshuman Singh(Kirti Chakra, posthumous) decided to keep his wife as NoK, 60% of the pension and the Kirti Chakra goes to the wife.

Why are they arguing with their son's choice? Why are they questioning their son's partner?
It is a sheer mockery of Captain Anshuman Singh(Kirti Chakra, posthumous) and his supreme sacrifice.

Also they keep saying she was only married for 5 months, but in the interview she said that their relationship was 8 years old. She knew the parents only for 5 months. They would not have treated her nicely after their son’s death. Living with them would have felt like torture. So, her leaving them is correct decision.
About the money, She deserves it as she had her whole life planned out with Anshuman, when he is not there she must have felt so lost in life. In such situations, people can get depressed and working is also very hard with everything going through your mind. So, it is fair to have money for necessities. And the parents got money as well so they are also not being treated unfairly. They are just angry that some outsider woman is benefitting from their son’s death(typical mentality of selfish people).
I think its still too early to reach a conclusion but the way his parents are talking as if they are really normal and it doesn't look like their son has passed away, especially the body language of his father Why discuss all these personal matters in media when your son just died?

1) But they are only asking her to let him see him the kirti chakra which she didn't even bother to let father see from her end
2) you are saying that he is after is money but father him self has stated that he will do ate all his money to anshuman foundation in his son's memories
3) he had offered Smriti to get a) married to his younger son b) marry as per her own wish in which he will bear the expenses
4) since father is himself an ex fauji so she should voluntarily hand over the Kirti Chakra to his parents... Which holds much deeper value to them... Since she will possibly find new love but they only had only one son
5) she even changed Anshuman's permanent address to her own address in Punjab while parents are still alive so they could not receive any future correspondences from the army and for me that's deeply concerning.

2) Believe me or not this is for political fame
3)she was in relationship with captain from last 8 years and now you assume she should marry her own devar just because her inlaws are ready to bear expenses for the marriage.Her inlaws are pressurizing her to marry her devar or any other person so (nok) and money can pass onto them .
4)is it confirm that she will definetly marry or even if she marries until then she has every right to keep it and how can you assume it will hold deeper meaning for her inlaws rather than her.
5) and if you still think you need answer for point 5 after reading point 3 then I can't say anything . ( I am sorry for my lack of words)

So let's suppose parents treated her poorly, then she got every right to leave them. But why take the kirti Chakra with herself? Is it to prove that her love for her husband was greater or superior than their parents love? Because it could be some kind of revenge from her to the parents. Also she changed the address, this point you skipped. Isn't that a little bit too greedy. Why she can't tolerate if parents get some amount.
How can she disregard a mother's love. Both mother and wife went on stage to recieve the award. How can she claim it her own?
Next the pension. The amount doesn't matter, why she should get any of it if she is gonna remarry? The pension fund is for the widow and the parents. If she marries, she is not a widow, why she should get any of it?
I do agree that the father is trying to bring a little bit of politics Also asking her to remarry which means he could be greedy but mother's pain is genuine. Why will she not get any of the pension fund.
In conclusion father is hating the wife because he sees her as an outsider who got all the money of his precious sons death.
Wife has no attachment to sons parents and she could also be exerting revenge by running away with all the money and changing address but she could be in grief for her departed hubby also.
I could see mother in grief.
So again, we need to see the wife's statement. Until then I will take the parents side.

I respect the feelings of parents and want both the parents and my wife to receive the award and money equally. However, this should not be published in the media in this way. Instead, it should be handled properly through the law. Whether someone stays with in-laws or with parents is a personal choice and family matter. Now, everyone is portraying the widow as a villain, including her in-laws and parents as victims. This should be handled with respect, dignity, and proper legal protocol, not by the electronic media.
