La Roux is problably the only artist that's got the 80's sound right, and bringing it back 30 years later, Remember the synth sound to songs like "master of servants", or " cars" keep going La Roux your on the right path
I Honestly Don't Care What A N Y O N E Else Has To Say; All Of Us Elly Jackson Fans Know She Has Got Talent And A Unique Voice And Music. And I'll ALWAYS Support Her
I can't believe how many amazing artists are from England! My God it seems like the British have the talent gene! AMAZING! This is coming from an American!
great! Must admit that I'm not bored with it, old La Roux with a touch of electronic sound. Perfect, love it!! Hope next album will be like it:) Greetings:*
@larsodal La Roux put all the songs she was inspired by for her album, and this extra tune in an album called Sidetracked. Testarossa Autodrive is just the song before so you can hear the end of it!
I think this is a really good cover of the song...doesn't have to be exacly the same! And for all people that think she didn't live something compared to the Rolling Stones you are dumb. La Roux's album sold really good and some singles too. At least she's different and original.
I love both the Stones and La Roux, and honestly, Stones-traditionalists need to look at their music from the 80s (Undercover, most notably) and realize that the Stones totally did the dance music scene. It's not half as good as their 68-72 period, but it still happened. I'm sure Mick at least is very pleased by this cover, so, let's let excellent current bands play tribute to excellent classic bands.
This is really different to alot of their other music, but i saw in nme magazine ages ago, there was an interview with her and she said she was going to 'change the way she sings' and 'use more "real" instruments'....
The Stones are arguably one of the top 3 best bands of all time. Every band coming up at that time was ripping off the blues in some way, the Stones did it in a way that wasnt at least lifting entire song ideas and passing them off as their own (like Zeppelin did). However, this is an excellent version. I saw her the very first time she debuted it live, and one time after that.
@TheKillaPancho depends on the way your looking at it from. if you like this genre of music you'll probablly like it better i think they are both really good versions of the song
@nailersrule I also wish the stones hadn't become the cocaine zombies they are today, if you compare the Rolling Stones of today to this they are pretty much on the same level.
@GilbertSmith i agree well said i like this cover!, another great cover of this song with a blues feel is by Lucky Peterson i love Blues and Rock and i love Dance music to so to all you people that dont grasp creativity you can bet that even the Stones never played this song the same way every single time they jammed-- just saying--
I am a huge Rolling Stones fan and was afraid of her butchering it but pleasantly surprised at her vocal range and musical ability. La Roux is a very underrated group but they sound brilliant. Plus I mean c'mon Elly is cute haha.
Elly has a gorgeous, angelic voice -and a killer beautiful face.
La Roux is problably the only artist that's got the 80's sound right, and bringing it back 30 years later, Remember the synth sound to songs like "master of servants", or " cars" keep going La Roux your on the right path

La Roux can remake anything... I'd buy it.
Call me crazy, but I actually like this cover more than the original and I really like the Rolling Stones original song.

Love this song, La Roux needs to put out another album already. It's been too long!
Wish this was available as a single on itunes or something and not just as an import cd. I guess I'll have to just listen to it on repeat.

This is really different to alot of their other music, but i saw in nme magazine ages ago, there was an interview with her and she said she was going to 'change the way she sings' and 'use more "real" instruments'....

amazing cover, possibley better than original!!! waited so long, missed la roux x
The beginning sounds TOTALLY like SebastiAn's remix for Kavinsky's "Testarossa Autodrive".
reincarnation of Prince's old bandmates from the Revolution, lol.
indeed is kavinsky.
I love the original version. But this one, has something... Awesome cover.
@TheKillaPancho depends on the way your looking at it from. if you like this genre of music you'll probablly like it better i think they are both really good versions of the song
i cant find this album anywhere it seems to be only in the UK
This is fucking great

@Pierrotmoi10: Aaah ok. Thanks for the info!
