Thank you Leo! Great playing and great demo as always. The price on this pedal is great but for me I would have to add an IR loader pedal too. Still, very interesting.
Thank you so much!!! You are right....actually the missing IR loader is a weakens.....I forgot to mention it in the video. Thank you for highlighting it!
Hi Leo. I understand a lot of people wanting a dedicated XLR for longer cable runs, but both outputs are actually balanced, so if you use a TRS jack cable you will get the same rejection of common mode noise as with an XLR cable :-) /Lars
@@qddk9545, no, unfortunately not. The IR loader is not balanced, but more like the TonePrint mini pedals. I agree that an IR loader could benefit from having balanced output, but this one does not have that.

Grazie ancora!

Leo, great video, but how does it sound in the room? Is it a credible Marshall? or does it sound like someone that never played a Marshall would describe a Marshall? What are your impressions on the sound and the feel?
With my real Plexi and an SM 57 I can get a pro sound in any pro studio and on stage. What I want to know is not features and the subjective preference for or against this pedals sound. I simply want to know if it is truly a pro sound of do I need something like the ToneX to get that.
Hi Leo.. Great demo.. I love the idea of one good amp model pedal that one can go direct with.. Have you tried the newest 3 of these pedals from TC? The high gain models? I'm really interested in their 800 model which also has a mod amp like extra gain stage or extra gain. When I was in high school during the 1970's, I found a used 68 Marshall JTM 45 head and cab for $450 USD. It sounded amazing and my high school band ended up working a lot. I sold it for a Boogie. Smaller yes, but nothing sounds like the JTM45, especially from the 60's. I so wish I had that amp back...
AMT preamps for a long time use this design with separate outputs for DI and for use into amp return. Since they can be used simultaneously, ( I guess this unit allows it too), it is handy if you throw signal to a mixer, and at the same time monitor yourself through an amp. At a live gig, for example. P.S. Dammit typed before you said same thing.
To me personally, the NuX Amp Academy makes much more sense instead of the Ampworx series (& for value/versatility/great sounding/features' ratio, the Amp Academy is even better than the Strymon Iridium). The Amp Academy is just a little bit higher priced than the Ampworx . Whatever it is, this is just my personal opinion. Btw, i have been using the NuX Amp Academy for the past 6 months & are really, really happy with it.
Btw Mr Leo, u are one of my most favourite UA-cam guitarist. Yr playing skill is absolutely outstanding.... plus yr style of reviews are really practical & really makes sense. I hope u could do a sort of in depth shootout between the Ampworx against the NuX Amp Acadmey & the Strymon Iridium.. Fyi, i don't really care if an "amp in a box" sounds almost like the real thing... I only care if it sounds great (sounding almost like the real thing is just a bonus for me), feels good under the fingers & takes external pedals (especially drive pedals) very well, and for that, the NuX Amp Academy are exceptional in all of those 3 cases. Again, its just my 2 cents... 😊
Thank you so much for such an amazing compliment and for sharing your thought! Yes, at the end...if a unit sounds good...it's good...even if not 100% = to the real deal... Thank you!
€160 for a single preamp pedal can no longer be justified, when you can buy an entry-level multi-effect modeling pedal with dozens of amp sims and effects for less. Plus, a Hotone Nano Legacy Purple Wind costs half of that price and can drive a speaker cabinet. A Joyo British Sound or Caline Baker Street is a quarter of that price.
