i just want to leave more appreciation for the wisdom you share, how you share it & the work you put in behind it! goodLuck with that tractor [i've never seen that either, must have been HOT!]
Brings back fond memories for me ♥️ Bailing hay on my Papaw’s farm. Driving the hay wagon at 6 years old in the hills of TN. Never had a problem getting help in as everyone knew my Granny’s cooking couldn’t be beat ♥️ Wish I could go back in time ♥️
I love farming ... your tractor breakdown so frustrating... I've had to hand flip cut hay in the past for baling ... big job ... glad you finally were able to get your hay up! Regards!
I've just been watching a British show about people living a year in History (this particular season was 17th century) and they were doing all the hay work by hand. Now they didn't nearly have as much land to do as you, but it sure looked like hard work! Glad you got your tractor sorted or we might see you out there with a hand fork cussin' and kickin' LOL! The only part of hay harvest I ever participated in was throwing bales on the truck as it creeped through the field. I needed to partner up by the end of the haul because my arms were like spaghetti! LOL Those suckers get heavy after throwing them awhile!
Farming/ranching is one of the most challenging things I’ve tried. At the same time, it’s also one of the most rewarding when things go right. It’s a love hate relationship. Crazy addictive business.
Everyone needs to watch this. Make them realize the work that goes into feeding those city folk, farming is hard work. Another enjoyable watch, hate your tractor broke down.🇺🇸
@@t-money8572 , I was talking about farming in general! Raising cows, pigs, chickens, growing fruits and vegetables. You do understand that we have to feed the animals for the meat people buy, right? Why do we have people who think being snarky is okay? Did your parents not teach you manners? I know mine did, I would never treat someone so rudely. But I will pray for you to learn kindness. 🙏
Man I can so relate. I used to make hay at my ranch in Michigan. That’s a tough place to make hay but I’ve made tens of thousands of bales there. I thought making hay in Texas would be easier but it isn’t. I’ve made hay in East Texas and if you’re not fighting weather, you’re fighting equipment. I guess it’s just tough making hay everywhere. Out here in Western Texas isn’t any easier
SURE HELPS CITY FOLKS RELATE A LITTLE BETTER TO THE PERILS OF OUR FARMERS, & PROBABLY IS A BIG REASON LIKE KEVIN COSTNER SAID ABOUT THE YELLOWSTONE SERIES, "TODAY'S FARMERS FACE SO MANY MORE TRUE HARDSHIPS THAN THE GENERATIONS OF LONG AGO IN SO MANY WAYS", & HE WENT INTO THE DETAILS & SOME SPECIFICS, I WAS TRULY IMPRESSED BY HIS SHEER INTELLIGENCE & KNOWLEDGE FOR AN ACTOR HE REALLY CARES FOR OUR FARMERS IF YOU EVER SEE HIS INTERVIEW FROM THE 2ND SEASON ITS WORTH THE WATCH. I CAN'T REMEMBER RIGHT NOW WHO THE INTERVIEWER WAS BUT IT WAS GOOD STUFF👏🏻👏🏻🤗
Mr. Jason's frustration went from: "Well, I'm just going to wait for the next morning." to, "Now you know why so many famers commit suicide."- real quick!
I agree the mechanical aspect of farming is a pain in the a**. That’s not to say horses can’t be a pain, but they are typically easier to understand. Of course that’s just my biases showing through.
That brings back memories from when I was a kid i used to help Mr. Shiferdek bail hey for his cows don’t get too frustrated everything will work out you got a good thing going out there don’t let it get to you take a deep breath there’s always another day. 👍🤠🐴❤️🇺🇸🙏🏻
Baling hay out west is a dream compared to back in the Midwest. Putting your hay on the ground is the best way to watch for rain clouds not so far off. If your brave enough and there’s a remote chance it will pass. Go quick as you can an Tedder your crop, get much sun a possible. Then lay in bed at night an hope you pulled the trigger at the right time. I been driving the western states looking at different operations, I recall ever seeing a Tedder used, there must be? BUT all you ranchers all said an done got some PURTY hay your putting up. 👍👍👍👍👍..l coulda shot holes in my TV weather forecast cause they was wrong again……everybody have a good evening…….I’m praying western states get some rain for your Reservoirs
Maybe that cap vibrated loose and off because you can see oil on tires and you ran dry, either way bad. Of course they are not interested in putting a low oil warning horn on PTO.
I just run upon your channel by sheer mistake I reckon but really feel bad for you & this hay- business. Wow, you ought to get ya a show like-🤠🐎🐴Yellowstone, except SHOW THE REAL SAD PARTS OF THE FARMERS PERILS & YOU'D REALLY BE- RICH💰& FAMOUS LIKE SHERIDAN🤣 BECAUSE THIS FARMERS LIFE DEFINITELY AIN'T NOTHING EASY ABOUT IT! GOOD GOLLY MS MOLLY HOPE IT GETS BETTER FOR YA🥰
EQUIPTMENT like a woman.....love/hate. I baled for 4 summers till i found out about being a golf caddy. The crew i worked with got paid $1.15 per hour....and we had a conveyor belt to mowe the hay in the barn...
Love all your videos. Hope to see more recent things happening on the ranch and hope to visit some day. Thanks for the videos
Thank You for another great video!! I appreciate you taking us along with you on your ranch!! I learn something from every video!! Thank You Sir!

Brings back memories from my childhood.❤️🇨🇦
That's a big hat. But this was pretty interesting. I could apply this to other things. Thanks man.

Ranch life is full of surprises!
It’s always something when ranchin, but that’s why we do it.. for the adventure and keeping us on our toes!

Thanks for watching. All farming serves a purpose.
If it isn't one thing, it's two. Thanks for showing what real farming is like.
Lol lol That was funny shit there. Man I really like your channel. Thank you for sharing
Thanks!

If it’s not suppose to happen; it will happen in ranching. Been there.
Enjoyed hearing from you!
Need a breeze ? I’d be getting the bird out 🚁 but then that’s me....any excuse to go flying !! 😆
How in the world did you do that did you run it out of hydro we do custom hay and I have never seen anything like that
I spent my life baling hay…and would suspect the tractor was slap out of fluid…but would think it would have thrown a code or light.
The hydraulic bypass valve malfunctioned.
Anyone else see the person walk thru the field at 9:47? Super creepy because he was talking in normal speed but the person walking was 20x speed.
I made it to 8:15. Hope you get your hay baled. Thanks.

Baaaaaaa 😂...... Love your videos
Hay 😉
Ranching must teach patience … staying calm with the smoking tractor would not be easy for most of us🙄

Farming. If it was easy politicians and preachers would be doing it.
Yep.
Looks like that tractor needs to be the same color as your baler. 🙂
You sure are a hard working man in that heat 🔥🥵got to be excosited.
If Mother Nature don't get you, the machinery will. You are going to let us know what happened to boil the oil and blow the cover, aren't you?
Yes!
It was probably out of fluid. I always check all fluids before I run my tractor. They are just to damn expensive to fix.
It wasn’t.
@@themendotaranch 🤔 hmmm....maybe the bailer wasn’t greased causing it to put more strain on the PTO. I have no clue Iv never seen a melted cap 🤯
Maybe that cap vibrated loose and off because you can see oil on tires and you ran dry, either way bad. Of course they are not interested in putting a low oil warning horn on PTO.
It melted the cap and the PTO.
That hat is comic!
Should have baled it the day before it rained.
Jason are u a college football fan??
I’d rather watch college ball than the pros these days. We don’t watch much TV anymore.
Thank God cowboys still look like cowboys. Luca
You bale hay when it's ready doesn't matter what time it is
Oh,, what about bugs, forgot ??
You’re the opposite of me, I can handle equipment and get frustrated with critters...

Sounds like you need a steamer.
Geez memo to self. Don’t go into farming. Well I’m 79 so I’m not going into any career. Sorry you had so much trouble
man bad luck with tractors. stick to a horse power. anymore than 1 is too many for you.
