Glad your cattle are OK. I'm writing from The Central Nebraska Loess Hills. If it doesn't rain soon, this year could turn out to be our turn. It's an area of extensive rangelands on the divides between the branches of the Loup River system, most of which have become infested with eastern redcedar over the past 50 years. If it goes, the trees spotting over are going to make fighting the fires nearly impossible, and the usual stoppers in the landscape (roads, tilled land) will just be minor speed bumps. We're already getting Red Flags about twice a week, and near RF conditions 2 or 3 additional days. Winds have been blowing nearly non-stop 40-60 mph for weeks. Fortunately extreme conditions result in no fires if there is no ignition source and people are pretty careful, but it will only take one. Best of luck in your recovery.
Prayers for all those in the line of the fire. God Bless the volunteers, they are never given enough credit for all they do. So sorry Eddie’s land burned. 🙏🇺🇸
My heart goes out to everyone who lost land, and property. Fire is so destructive, when not contained properly. I'm happy everyone is safe, and I know you'll all rebuild like the team you are!
You and your family ( including the farm animals ) are in my prayers, we are having issues here in East Tennesse also, nothing like you guys though, but I am sure that they would gladly accept your prayers!! Good luck Jason 🙏🙏🙏🙏
14:14 Looks like a scene out of a post-apocalyptic film😬! I don't guess I realized that your actual brother was a neighbor! How nice! Glad the cows are ok, they'll be digging all those fresh green sprouts come 2 weeks from now! They call you a Cowboy...Pssshhh You're a CowDaddy! Great job to everyone helping out! Huzzah to you all!!👏
Aanii (hello in Ojibwe) from Ontario ❤️🇨🇦❤️ I'm thankful that you're ok and your brother's house still stands. That was a big fire. We have a lot of Marshland around and through my city. Someone always lights it up every year. So many spots the fire fighters can't get to until it comes near a house or road. All people can do is wet down their property then be smart to get away when they should. Smoke inhalation is deadly. Good luck with salvaging and mending
You were lucky. There should be a playbook to follow, so everyone can be on the same page. This playbook should be updated every time new ideas and data come up.
OMG...That was so scary...I can't even imagine! That was way too close to your brothers home. I'm glad you and he are ok...Hopefully no lives were lost. Thank God for the first responders....hate to think of the outcome if they weren't there
hey it is april 9 th and we are in our motor home heading west from the south to California we are trying to aviod the weather that is where you are , the weather for your area looks bad really bad. Stay safe and in fire as we saw last week the worry is for the family and the livestock... prayers for you and your family.
Paisano's Roost Farm (American Blackbelly Sheep) in Southern New Mexico: It's the windy season here and no fun feeding sheep in the wind. Glad you were able to protect most of the infrastructure. We had a close call a couple of years ago with our Oklahoma property. The grass fire came within 3/4 mile of our north fence. We have no historic burn records for the property that has been passed down in my family since 1905.
We had one that crossed NM state line into Yoakum Cty the other day and was about 30 miles from my parents place in Terry County. They got it under control before it got much closer than that thankfully but I still sent them a message to listen to their radios and hitch the trailer just in case they had to move my sisters horse. My 36 yr old mare passed a couple months ago and they're just left with the one so it would be quicker to load and go if they were evacuated if they were already ready. They're in their 70's so they need so the head start they can get. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 for all involved up there. I could never do the job the firefighters do. It is absurd that you couldn't say EMERGENCY and get your damn chopper to help save lives. That kind of shit annoys me. I hope to hear no one was hurt up there on your next video and thank you for sharing what was definitely a scary situation. I remember the young man's story who died a few years ago when fire hurt so many up there. Our feed store had flat beds going up as soon as they were allowed and we gave everything we could knowing it wasn't near enough. I really hope there isn't a repeat this year. Fire has taken enough already. Thank you for all the help you give to the FD when you're able also.
Prayers to you and anyone in the line of danger. I have never seen anything like this . Thank you for for this educational video . But I do have a question. What makes the smoke yellowish orangey colour?
Stay safe! Being from California I know how dangerous and scary wildfires can be. Again, stay safe and hopefully the cows and calves will run the other way & be safe as well.
Hey, wanted to watch your video due to my connection with Canadian Ranching. Have long lost touch with my Canadian relatives running the JO Wells Ranch. Not sure, but have the impression the Abrahams and Andersons don't have a good relationship...Anyway, I am far removed from all that but spent some of my youth on the ranch.
Any first responder serves an important role. But, I really don’t think people understand the devastation that would occur in these situations without the volunteer firefighters. As bad as these fires were they’d be a lot worse without those guys in the rural areas.
Before you moved the cows, were the cows trying to go to the Fire because the Fire trucks had their sirens on...WOW something never think about with the great way to get cows coming with siren...Glad U saved your cows !
Watching that airplane dropping fire retardant I didn’t know they did that . So sorry about the fire. I sure hope it wasn’t an intentional set. Hope everyone was safe. Lives are so much more important. 🙏🏻
How nerve racking. Heartbreaking to see someone's ranch charred so badly. Losing all of that grass will most likely affect his bottom line. Cattle need to eat.
Where I camp.... West... Comanche County and that general area all blew up in fire, within hours and the last fire was in the Lypan area... As fast as these fires started... HAD TO BE STARTED BY FASCISTS.....!!!! THOSE THAT ARE ARSONISTS ARE COMMITTING AN ACT OF WAR.... TAKE NECESSARY ACTIONS!!!
Too bad the fire dept didn't have a tanker truck that could drive on the rails. Some UA-camr should build a fire truck that has the ability to drive on rails like the railroad's inspector pickup trucks can
G’day Jason Bonnie Families Teams & Co ;-) so sorry for your losses… May you now have more than enough rain & sun to grow new shoots to feed all the critters dependant on your abundance of feed stores. May you all be blessed with more than enough fencing posts wire strainers droppers t-posts gripples wire ties hinge joint ring lock barbed wire gates etc to re build many-many-many kilometres of damaged and destroyed fencing! May you all have silage dumps and grain silos full enough to get you all through to the next bountiful harvest! Perhaps it’s time for your own firefighting trucks and slip on units & trailers ready to quench spot fires from each and every property. If this fire was deliberately started, May they know the karma of their actions immediately… So mote it be it is done! That awesome fire retardant plane ✈️ was epic, presuming it was super busy further up the fire line.. As your brothers chopper also got a big workout too! May all be safe & secure happy & healthy, With many source blessings with truth clarity love light laughter happiness joy fun play creativity adventures abundance wisdom and may peace be with you all! Big thanks to the people at Medota Ranch and ranchers and farmers everywhere. It's their courage and strength brings food to our tables daily.
You never fail to keep us on the edge of our seats!!!

Hope it doesn't hit you!! Positive thoughts to redirect that wind!!
