When I was a young man EVERYONE considered Buck to be the pinnacle of quality, durability, and value. Of course, that was when people used knives as knives and not as some half-assed hatchet.

From the 440c era. Less rust resistant but much more robust.
The nicest they ever mass produced in my opinion.

    I've got four Buck knives, a 110, a 119, a 389 canoe (China made), and a 503 Prince.
All of them are as good as when I got them, no problems at all.
I don't abuse my knives, but they get used. One of them, the Prince, has been in my pocket every day for the last 27 years.

Fantastic video - thanks. I have a Buck 112 and love it to bits. It was given by an US Ex-Marine who now lives here.
Such a generous man and to give me a 112 was amazing. I never had a Buck before but now I am a Hugh fan.
So sharp and so comfortable to hold and us. I am really impressed and am hoping to get the 50th anniversary Buck 112 for my friend that started me off with the utterly fantastic Buck brand. Thanks for showing how these are made and the quality that goes into them.
Very best - Gray from the UK

Thanks for sharing this most informative post on the Buck factory. It's great to see how Buck ensures quality and consistency. My Buck 110 was made in 2015 and I recently picked up a Buck 112 classic. In addition, I'm expecting delivery of a Buck 112 Slim anytime now.

Most definitely !!! I've been an electrician for 26 yrs and even not being at work between farming, building mud trucks, hunting, fishing...the Buck 110 is definitely my favorite knife, for EVERYDAY use. Just bought a new one last night, since the one I've carried for 7-8 yrs magically disappeared. Only thing I wasn't happy seeing when I opened the package was that the leather sheath, had a made in Mexico sticker in it. I'm still using a buck leather sheath from the 90s. Anyhow....yes buck makes a great product, at a great price !!!!

I love my ranger from the 70s. They need to quit making models over seas. The american made knives are the only ones worth anything. Seeing "china" on an american pocket knife design is ironic and should never happen to a "traditional" style knife. Directly responsible for taking jobs off of american soil for more profit. Even though buck is one of the biggest knife companies and is more than capable of remaining 100% american made.

But I guess there being built for the guys that buy them, I've had knives fail me while in the woods, no purple knife with pink blade for me, just hand me my 110.

I didn't see a single employee smiling. In fact, they all looked terrified when he was around them. Very strange for a Christian company. Went to the "indeed" site and checked employee reviews and my heart just broke with all the terrible reviews I read from employees. Maybe Buck shipping knives to China isn't as funny as it seemed at first. 50 hour weeks. 1/3 of the employees living out of their vehicles. Tricked out of their benefits and pto. Not super happy to hear any of that. And I'm going to start spreading the word until I believe the people making my knife are happy and are being taken care of.
