When my mil passed away it was eye opening. My husband and I both agree no burial. No embalming. No cement block. No casket. Once we're done with our bodies donate everything you can.
this is admirable. if you end up finding that you can't donate your body for one reason or another (sometimes things don't go our way) there's a company that makes artificial reefs to enclose cremated remains into. Apparently, if you add human remains it's considered a burial ground and can't be disturbed for a certain period of time. Of course, it's more costly than donation, and only helps the humans who work for those companies. Do you know already where you plan to donate?
Be careful with donation, too! There's some shady practices there, as well. Heard a horror story about granny wanting to be left for science, meaning finding cures to illnesses and such.
