Think of it this way. If she is off field dps, then we wont be able to enjoy her to the fullest. Just like Xiangling, we swap her in, Q,E then swap out, we don’t get to use her much, even less if shes C4 due to the long pyronado duration. Lets just hope Arlechino is fun to use on field 😁

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills because I'm the only one that isn't going crazy over this character. I have soooo many pyro DPS on my account, and I don't see a reason to pull for her at all. Hu Tao will always be my go-to pyro DPS when I need someone with big damage and she just seems like a more complicated version of that. That said I'm glad you share some of my opinions.

ZL is only a dps loss compared to someone who plays perfect and never gets staggered. For many players he could be a dps gain.
Zhongli is a “direct loss” but makes up for it bc the character is shielded, so you can spend 100% of the time attacking. Also, zhongli is just so good because of the sheer support potential and flexibility he has. Def worth it, will be forever because literally the only way to power creep him would be to release a shielder better than him (geo sovereign maybe? Idk.) and I doubt they will do that

His shield aura also shreds resistances, people tend to forget this too.
What’s kinda interesting is that we actually have a couple good options for Sheilders. Both Thoma and Tankfei give pyro resonance, and if Alrechino gives enough energy we could maybe (maybe) build Tankfei with Thrilling tales. Zhongli is always good, and Layla gives a normal attack buff at C4, and Arle seems like a normal attacker.
Thoma would steal field time from arlecchino, and tankfei is good for role consolidation, where she can shield and be a dps, it’ll not be good enough as a sole shielder
I want to use Chevreuse with her, so I'm hoping triple pyro + Chev on fav is enough for TTDS Tankfei. She only needs HP and ER, surely it should be fine...
I like that she doesn't do more dmg the more hp is drained - otherwise you have to be on the brink of death all the time to get max dmg.
Instead, you just want your current hp to be less or equal to the percent of her max hp used for bond of life to get the attack buff.
In this way, the fact that she prevents incoming healing is a good thing otherwise her hp would be greater than the bond and nullify it

canceling charge attack with jumps to end up in a plunge attack made Hu Tao playable for me. So, I pulled for Xiangyu (C2 coz I got C1 really early).

Yep same here, everyone else is complaining about her being “big hu tao” but personally I never pulled for hu tao after all these years cuz her play style is just too damn clunky and annoying with the cancels. So I’m happy to get arlecchino instead, assuming she doesn’t need the cancels

Her gameplay reminds me a lot of Raiden where you press her E,and then swap to generate raidens ring ability for her ultimate. Arlecchino feels similar where you her skill button then swap to also generate her power like Raiden to do this big DPS at the end of her rotation. I play Raiden a lot so arlecchino might be a go for me.
I got a couple of shielder leftover from my Wanderer team, but I heard from leaks her C1 gave her resistance

U can pair a char who gives also a bit Interruption protection like xingqui and ur pretty good to go
People hoping for a 5-star Xiangling might have rubbed off on me, but I'm a little disappointed how Arlecchino turned out. Her animations are so cool, and she has the best hit effects since Childe imo. My issue is out of 14 pyro characters she's the EIGHTH to be a dedicated on-fielder pressing buttons. That's way more saturated than all of the other elements so I was hoping for a bit more support. Not to mention, isn't her whole job to send other people to go do things? Why not in her gameplay? Also she doesn't seem to synergize with any of her kids (not as big of a criticism for me, but it's there). Idk she's cool in a vacuum I just wanted new teams to work with. I'm getting her because she's a villain and I want a villain team someday, but that's about it.
I agree with you, the biggest let down for me was that she doesn't introduces any form of new team archetype at all!! as per right now. Plus her lack of synergy and questionable direction is making me leaning towards skipping her, such a shame her design and animations are top tier

@@ivanmacadangdang2006 find close to that button on the lower left where you can change the name of the team and it'll show you a list of the 4 default slots as well as the button to create a new team! Then u can add up to 15
She gets IR at c1 like Neuvillette and has 20% DR somewhere in her kit IIRC. Still will be squishy but not completely helpless.
I do wish I can get arche, but I'm gonna save up for Yelan! And focus on building Hutao
xingqui has higher hydro duration infused, c6 thoma, mona proto amber catalyst(also can CC) that's a lot of dmg absorption shields, imma use homa for her btw

arlecchino gameplay is very different to hu tao but the mechanics are kinda similiar
@@edugnlIt's the other way around, however with some QoL to compensate for the mechanic and lack of external healing. She is likely a bit more specialised for AoE DPS - rather than single target DPS like Hu Tao.

Hu Tao was the reason I got into Genshin Impact back in the end of 4.1. But with Arlecchino coming out and her animation and design being way cooler and awesome, I no longer want to pull for Hu Tao. I decided that Father will come home for me.
She’s not gonna be as easy to play due to her only healing source being her ult but I’m all for her challenge.
nah I think she'll be easier than hutao tbh. assuming you dont wanna run her with a sheilder (which is way harder with hutao) you can just run her with xingqiu and bennett, and bennett's attack buff should make it much easier to reach 3000 attack, where her damage reduction caps. she gets physical and elemental resistance scaling on every 100 attack after 1000, capping at 20% so 3000 attack. ran with xingqiu thats a 40% damage reduciton which is honestly pretty insane, not to mention xingqiu also gives interruption resistance plus her ult heals for QUITE a bit and if you're ever in an emergency and need to prioritize healing over damage you can pretty much heal like 80% HP easy if you stack your bond of life
If you believe the leaks she will get elemental and physical resistances in her passive, scaling with her atk. Up to 20% @ 3K atk. Would make a lot of sense, we'll see if that's true
its from beta and it dosent look like its changed at all considering nobody's said anything so it probably is, stack that with xingqiu's resistances and she kinda hella tanky

This is gonna be tough one, I let myself get hyped for her but now seeing she is so similar to Hu Tao I'll have to let it cool and see how she performs. Maybe it will be better to just stick with my primos since I'm missing many characters due to 2 year break.
The new artifact sets that are obviously designed around Arlecchino have heavy weight on Burning reaction so it might be worth the effort to consider if Arlecchino isn't actually designed as a Burning-centered DPS.
On the surface, it does look like she would have problems with Rifthound enemies and the like, or even enemies that drain her energy.

I really hope she's good, considering many players want her for different reasons. I would not like to have to pulled her, and have saved for her, just to use her once and never again... Please tell us more after you get to test her a bit.
She's actually really good! She does 45-50k auto attacks per hit without needing any buffers. With buffers like yelan, xing, bennett, and kazuha, she does around 130-150k vape at c0, which is nuts! I'm pulling for her c6 r5, and she's about to be raw! ☺️

@lolidemon3163 She obtains permanent infusion and insane crit buff, which makes up for it. It's np at all! Her c2 is where she peaks the most, which is nice. Her c1 solves her bol issues, which isn't all that bad. 🙂

I am not crazy for any of the other pyro dps, I only really have built xianling and like half ga-ming so this could be the "hu tao but I like it better" but even then I am not sure if I will pull.
Pyro is not even that great these days. I mean, it’s not bad at all, it’s just so far below Hydro, Dendro, Electro, and so far above Cryo and Geo
I’m sus that it might be good to wait. Like with Sumeru (Alhaitham) and Fontaine (Neuvy), I think it’s likely that Natlan will feature an absolutely busted pyro dps
Arle ending up dwarfed in Natlan by another pyro is likely, Saving for Naltan it is
I think she might rely on burning since there is a new set specifically for that.

Don't forget her passive, she does gain a little bit of all elemental and physical damage resist for every 100 attack she has above 1000 stacking at max to 20% which will make her just a tad bit more tanky for survivability.
I think if she is an na spammer mono pyro is probably the vibe, if she’s a ca user who wants to vape then xingu with like Bennett and a flex final slot, xingu is almost always going to be better then yelan with her for the defensive utility

I think her best teams are gonna be overloaded with chevreuse, melt with either layla rosaria and bennett or kazuha, zhongli can work if u want vape team. I dont think im gonna do vape with her probably just overload with c6 chev or melt with kazuha bennett and layla(or rosaria). MELT AND OVERLOAD just sound really fun with her and her pretty large AOE coverage. Vape to me at least doesnt seem as strong with her as hu tao and hu tao doesnt really work with overload so i feel like these 2 excell in 2 totally different ways but I still want to know why hoyoverse doesnt make better cryo supports for pyro seening as melt is way better for pyro than vaporize. But layla has a pretty strong Shield that has cryo application for alrclechinno or u could run rosaria which is also a good choice for the cryo application melt seems good with alrcehinno or if u guys have a high constellation chev overload will be really good too
I feel like vape is better because overload knocks enemies back a ton, and you could run arlecchino with xingqiu which would give interuption resistance and damage reduction. with xingqiu and 3000 attack you can get 40% damage reduction so you take like no damage and vape is just broken, but 100% overload would be super fun

Clarificatiom according to leaks
Her skil gives a mark, but removing ut gives the bond of life. And the only way to remove said marks are through charged attacks. The more enemies with stacks are hit the more BoL she gets, but also, the longwr thata mark stays in the enemy the more BoL she gets from it. That way, even if its only a boss single starget sitiation, she can still get more BoL.
So the optimal rotation is to always start with her skill, then setup the buffs and sub dpses, tgen return to her for the charged attack and do na until buffs ended.
Her ult is often considered in the leakers as a dps loss since it clears the bond of life, so er is barely necessary, since you realisticallt just need to burst every other rotation, or at the end of a battle.
Yeah, some leaks I saw also mentioned that her burst will require little energy. I think it's main purpose is to be used for emergencies when her HP is low

Kinda conflicted to pull for her now, I don't feel safe without having a healer especially in spiral abyss.
She heals a LOT with her ult and if you manage 3000 attack (which is easy in abyss) and run her with xingqiu you can easily hit 40% damage reduction!
I already have neuvillette but i don't have zhongli, layla is my shielder but she barely keeps up with him. So should i go for neuvillette C1 or arlecchino.
I think if you've got another Pyro dps or even Bennett I would say pass and go for c1 for the resistance interruption (unless you really really like arlecchino)
i went for the c1 with what i had for arlecchino she looks so good but also my layla is lvl1 so that c1 saved me allot of resource and now i can run any other character on the team also i got c6 gaming so i can wait for another fire dps or rerun

I would say she could be as strong as Wriothsley since she's a normal attacker and can't vape as much as Hu-Tao maybe Melt is a better team for her

@jello impact wondering why it is never talked about using furina as a healer if needed? i tend to swap out if i need team healed, though slower to heal, between her totem and lil jelly folks. sometimes im trying to not switch her out on buff and it does because how i play but she can definitely be a healer all on her own for the entire team
You won’t get max fanfare with Furina as healer (until or unless she is C2+). Not only that, swapping to furina and changing her ‘phases’ repeatedly is waste of time and dps loss. Regardless, you play however you want.
Furina is great for topping out your team's HP after the fight is over. Otherwise, her healbot is only really useful for buying time in situations where you are dealing with a lot of environmental hazards. It doesn't tick quickly enough to heal effectively in combat.
Christina, if you're talking about Furina healing for Arlecchino, she can't during combat. Some content creators are mistakenly reading her kit as saying that she can be healed during combat while off-field by a full-party healer. This isn't the case (and would be bad anyway as it would reduce/remove her bond of life). But if you're asking about Furina just as a healer for your party in general, SomeOneUnrestricted is correct that it just doesn't use Furina to enough potential because of slower ramping up for her damage buffing. But Lennis is incorrect that Furina doesn't heal enough in her healing mode to be a capable healer during combat. A high level, high skill talent, high health Furina will double Kuki's healing output, for instance, which is not considered "bad" to begin with. My Furina heals for 5443/tick and those happen as often as Kuki's and more than twice as often as Barbara's, for comparison. She can definitely keep your on-fielder alive. And in Coop her healing is absolutely broken as the active character of every member of the party EACH gets her healing ring. You can keep up even the squishiest of parties through any fight.
It's a good utility but they didn't add anything else to this mechanic (like hydro application) which I think was a good call by Mihoyo because this would've totally powercreeped Kokomi

It may not look like it but *Xinyan* is "actually" a -Pyro- *Physical* support, too! 😅
She gives Shields on E (and also Q at C2): whoever is shielded gets [15% Phys DMG] from her A4, plus her E (and also Q) shreds [15% Phys RES] at C4.
...Yeah, they look like self buffs _but_ these work on certain *Eula* (e.g. Eula + Amber + Mika + Xinyan) and *Razor* (e.g. Razor + Fischl + Chevreuse + Xinyan) comps.

I can already see it, Arlecchino being tossed around like a ragdoll, unable to be healed, and die.
Like being wet is a death sentence for her in combat... Any electro or cryo enemies nearby and she just stands there and die from shock/freeze.

Perhaps she is the chosen one the burning one. People often forget how important playstyle is and at least in my case i don't find any currently available pyro character damage dealer fun nor smooth to play so i am glad for new pyro damage dealers because hu tao is good but i hate charged attack characters i prefer normal attackers honestly. Beidou is a damage and defense character at c6 so i can see her working with Arleccino in overload perhaps. I am psyched tbh thanks for your coverage.

Yeah I’m fairly disappointed with Arle kit, at least from what we’ve seen. It really has me worried they’ll make Clorinde an upgraded version of Keqing. I guess time will tell, but between Arle and Chiori they’ve been pretty underwhelming recently

I believe the Recruit Insignias are needed. You can easily farm them as they drop like 1-3 pretty frequently on any of the fatui members. And as for world boss, its the upcoming one that will be released in the next patch so save up on your resin. Talent books wise, I think she needs Order from Fontaine. Hope that helps
Same as Lyney except that she uses the materials form that new Statue boss and uses Order instead of Equity for her talents.

Dont forget about her passive which gives her damage reduction for every 100 attack she has above 1000 capping at 20%, 20% is QUITE a bit, now throw xingqiu on the team for 20% damage reduction, thats 40%. Hutao is way more squishy tbh, assuming you arent running her with a healer because you want the pyro damage bonus, shes almost always under 75% HP and is super reliant on a sheilder. You're also underestimating how much arlecchino's ult can heal, it could heal around 70% of your HP easily, not to mention you cant run hutao with bennett if you're really going for maintaining under 50% hp, unlike arlecchino, who dosent lose any damage from being full health. It would be super easy to run arlecchino with just xingqiu bennett and like yelan, kazuha, sucrose, ect. Idk about overload though, if you can dodge decently you should be fine in overload with just the 20% resistance

neuv. it’s never that serious though, so if you like arlecchino more, go with her. there are just SO many pyro dps in the game, and neuv is infinitely more flexible, f2p/build friendly, and requires less investment for a bigger return
Neuvillette is a 100 times better investment, he is the best character in the game. Arlechinno will certainly be rather strong, but very, very far behind Neuvi in terms of power and playing comfort. So if you are hesitating between the two, I will tell you advice to pool in priority neuvilette.But nothing stops you from taking both ;) (sorry for my english, i'm french...lol)
As someone who just pulled Neuvillette I think his f2p/flexibility is slightly overrated unless you can go for c1. Very specific team to get damage and not be knocked around. I find Fischl in his hypercarry team to be better. (I don't have Zhongli though, so maybe if it was him and not Baizhu, idk...)
as much as I love Arle , but neuvillette is just too strong tbh , both at low and high investment , I have him C0 with prototype amber and he hard carries me in abyss, but to be fair I do have a high investment team for him : furina / zhongli / jean
Hey everyone thanks for all the advice. I am a relatively new player and I don't have a lot of build characters. My current team is raiden national and it's well built for one side of the abyss. My main concern is that if I pull arlechinno, she would be competing for all the supports my raiden uses. Thats the main issue I am currently facing.

She should if you run vape with her. Like Neuv, childe is pretty much going to be a prison hydro where you mainly use him for his talent. Arle, Childe, Xinqui, and a healer/shielder is what I’m thinking of.
Would love to see a video talking about power creep in genshin. I think you briefly mentioned it in a recent video and would love to know your thoughts on it. For a while it was easy to downplay and say it didn’t exist entirely, but lately I’ve been feeling like it’s more and more prevalent. Not saying it’s the worst thing ever, but it’s definitely there IMO
Imo the only charas that can be considered power creep would be furina and neuv and chiori. Arle doesn't actually power creep hu tao. Imo wrioth doesn't power creep ayaka. Dendro is kind of dendro. Though there really isn't a comparable chara to furina for hydro. Neuv is nuff said (though for team comps idk if he is the strongest chara some1 feel free to correct me if i am wrong). Chiori does power creep albedo though it really wasn't hard to do that all things considered. Lyney power crept amber if u want to consider amber a unit (though so did yoimiya). I won't bring up dendro units bc we would need to compare particular roles within team comps
Powercreep in genshin is basically nothing.
Power creep is definitely there, it's just not as prevalent as it is in other games.

They kinda already have. It's just more common but not exclusive or lacking.
Every elements has on field dps, off field dps and support. Pyro just happens to have way more on field dps than everyone else.
Iam playing f2p this game from 1.3 and I have amazing luck on this game on my main account BUT only thing I dont have still is limited 5*pyro dps (I have C2 Diluc)
Sooooo it is time for me to get that last element 😂
