You got hosed, at the most 400 dollars worth of items. Many items they put in the grab bag they just wanted to get rid of them.

None of those are scrap coins. The Mint Silver Medal, and several of the certified coins are $80 to $100 each on eBay, depending on the kind of deal you can find. I don't know if he hit $500, but he is above $400 easily, and has some nice quality coins, with eye appeal.

This is the worst grab bag from Lucky Duck I’ve seen. You received about $450 in retail value. Still better than most grab bags. I got the $250 one and it was pretty solid. Thank you for sharing

I like $100 dollar grab bags but I would rather spend 500 on coins that I could pick out myself. It does remind me of childhood when you would get an Easter basket or Christmas stocking! It's cool to have those experiences again now as adults!

That is the point I take the risk and you decide. That is why I do not put a value up. There were some nice coins and fillers. I have seen better grab bags from them guess they are in it to make money looks like I lost on this one

All the Lucky Duck grab bags I've seen have some great stuff; in fact, I have been blown away by several items in the various bags. Your bag is pretty typical and contains several beautiful coins. The stuff no doubt has value but for the most part you can see why most of it was stuffed into a grab bag. That peace in MS64 is not rare. The Morgan’s are common and most people would go for higher grades of them for not much more money.
Ive bought a lot in my life and I’ve come to just despise selling. Selling is the hard part and the hard truth when you figure out who’s going to buy what for how much and after how long. You can have extremely premium stuff in high demand, very valuable and still struggle because everyone else is selling them too. So you wait. Or get offered fifty cents on the dollar compared to what you had to pay, down at any coin shop. That’s when you learn what things are worth. How well you can resell them and effort involved. If all else fails, create a grab bag and set a price. 😂
You words a very true. If you can wait there is usually someone that will buy what you have. As selling at the lCS you hit it right on the head. As for a grab bag I would go overboard I could not bring myself to do that I do not know how they do that in my humble opinion. As for figuring value they say there is at least $740 - $750 in that bag how I do not know figuring it at high retail not what the actual would sell for at a LCS. I buy them ocasional so people can see what comes in them and they can make up their own mind. I expect to lose money but in my opinion that was a huge loss. Some people may not think so and that is fine. Just trying to help the community out.
Everyone is saying how it's not worth it and you said several things you wouldn't buy, but did you find anything that we don't see in the original post. I mean anyone of those ungraded could have held errors or whatever. Not to mention the price of the things you definitely will immediately resell may fluctuate, like the commemorative coin and whatever else as they are not as desirable in the collector world.
Yes there definitely were things I would not buy but there were some good ones also. Overall it is interesting at first glance I did not see any error coins but I will look again. I am not 100% sure, but from a quick count it looks like you received right around 500 worth. That bicentennial has a chance of increasing in value so for investment purposes? you did good I think.

I priced it as you went through. You could sell each individually for ~ $435 total. That doesn’t count your time and shipping supplies. Then you have the “complimentary” coin collecting supplies.
I’m not sure why people buy these. Is it for the exciting feel of treasure hunting?

As many say in the comments, searching for good deals on $510 worth of exactly what you want seems more rewarding, but to each their own!

This is awesome, personally i love all coins rather theyre new, classic, ancient and that makes it hard for me to buy a certain coin. The grab bag seems like such a cool option because its random but i have a hard time buying from anywhere other than trusted bullion dealers. Is this stuff from ebay?
Lucky Duck is on E Bay and I know of many people that have bought from them. If you want to get a variety of coins it is a good way to go. Their customer service is good.

There were some good coins and what I call filler coins. I believe you get the $500 retail value just coins you may not pick. But it is like Xmas kind of fun getting unknown things.
Wont lie thats probably 1 reason im super hesitant on getting grab bags of coins because you end up losing money rather then possibly profit like coin roll hunting.. would you recommend doing grab bags or no?

What do you think the value of this is today?
About $400. Most all mystery bags charge full retail for their items. If you were to go into a shop they would give you a better price on each item. Also you could get the items you want. I buy them so you can see what you get and make your own mind up.

I plan on doing one of these in a future video for my channel as well. I think I prefer the $100 grab bags. It would be nice if you could contact them and ask for a custom number grab bag ($200,$300,$400,etc.)
You can Marley and Tee on you tube does she will do a custom one based on what you like and the amount you have. I did a $300 one with her you should check that one out was well worth it. I also did an interview with her afterwards. Thank you for the comment.

I think it is a rare occasion when it is a good deal especially if there are coins you do not care for. I will do more just to see but smaller dollar amounts

About $250 worth maybe a little more if better dates
Pretty close to what I thought. I gave them the benefit of doubt and fussed about $325. I do these so people can see what they get in them and yes 90% of the time I lose money on them. It is kind of like a public service, you get to see what comes in them and yes there are those people like at the races they come to see the crashes and they see me crash and burn. My worst lost on a mystery package was from a fellow you tuber. I have gotten a couple good ones or fair ones but overall a big loss. Thanks

You should check out Marley and Tee. E24 $300 grab bag. Best grab bag I believe I have gotten no filler coins every one I would by myself. She asks you a lot of questions to tailor the grab bag to you r taste.
