Had this in hot pink back in the late 80's / white handlebars, no-one else had it (everyone else riding GT, DYNO, Haro, CW & Redline) - - awesome bike (a bit on the heavy side)
I was the only one in my relatively small town to own a Kuwahara. It was this bike's predecessor, the Bravo KT, which was Kuwahara's first twin top tube frame with a kicktail. The original Magician was a single top tube that also featured a loop behind the seat tube joining the upper stays.
First off, where do you guys find all of these crazy rare oldschool stuff, that frame must have cost a fortune! second, amazing build, you guys are probably the best canadian bike channel on the entirety of youtube.
Beautiful bikes. The one thing I dislike with the old school bikes is the gearing, specifically the dinner plate sprockets. Smaller gearing is alot aesthetically pleasing. Other then that love the old school look.
Where do you find these bikes for these builds?! Watching your videos is like taking a step back in time... As a tween in the early 80's, I wanted one of these in some kind of purple color!
Interesting enough I had a magician pro with a white alluminum frame, with lavender mag wheels, I hated those plastic seats though from that era, mine got stolen unfortunately While I was competing with someone in the arcade, I think it was Double Dragon, I got the girl, but lost my bike.
1991-1993 I had a Kuwahara Magician. I don't remember the curved double frame but that brace in the frame gives it away. I sold my Yamaha YZ 250 dirt bike and bought a Haro Master which after 5-7 years it was stolen. It was insured and then I bought the Magician. I did find who ganked the Haro, he had sold it. I'm an Aussie who has had his fair share of pub fights and I don't like saying it but I enjoy an honest punch up. I've even got a display with four knives that people have brought to a fistfight, which I took off them and slid to my mate for s safekeeping. Don't do that, it's just plain rude and you might end up with more than a dislocated shoulder and a hand that doesn't work correctly. I kinda knew the Haro ganker from school, he was 2 years my senior. He had a couple of youngsters so when I knocked on his door I simply stated what was going to happen if I ever saw him out. A year later he rocked up at my local, I left that night and drove myself home, he did not. I got my pound of flesh so-to-speak. I am very much aware of what people think, but that kind of thing is in my blood (Slavic background) and nearly 19 years of Martial Arts. Where I grew up it couldn't be avoided and I actually met three of my mates who I became great friends with after a fight. I love that they are making Haro Masters again I'll be hunting one down after I get my new MK2 Escort built. Seasick Steve has a song called "RamblingI Man" and that sums up this seemingly endless, collection of stories, with nostalgia and violence, which as much as one enjoys participating in it should never be the answer. Unless the question is "care to step outside, you F word, C word, scared shitless, P word and your wife is a U word, S word '1your mother is a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries'. Or the Aussie guaranteed seal of approval,I violence will be with you whether you like it or not. "So C word F word" while grabbing a beer, "Holden or Ford?" A dude wearing his HOLDEN trackie dacks asks with a knowing sneer. I love my sunburnt country, an island continent girt by sea. Brimming with Great White Sharks that keep us surfers eternally vigilant. EDIT; Violence is wrong but I sure keep harping on about it, oh and I had my Haro Master knicked and bought a Kuwahara Magician, sick bike.
What makes this frame set a PRO frame ??? I don't understand the difference between the EX, Magician & Magician PRO. Anyone know what distinguishes one from the other ??
I had that same one. It was grey and pink. One of the coolest bikes I owned.
Sweet looking Hutch Trickstars in the back as well. A friend had a Kuwahara that I got to ride a few times, Great memories! Thank you for posting.

Love this mine was blue with zrims.. unfortunately in my area bikes were stolen daily this bike and my 81 redline robbed from my garage..sad
needs some pegs, I would probably use some black Odyssey Hollow Bullets or black Odyssey Axle Grinders
I miss mine.
My brother had a hot pink kuahara magician in the '80s.
What do I mean, "what do u guys think?"........its bad-ass!
Very nice
Ahhh best bike ever 😳😳😳❤️❤️
I want one.. stripped down, no paint, just mineral oil. + chrome rims w/gold spokes to match crankset. Minimalist. sick as fuck.
+ delete gumwall(go lean,) add bearcage pedal , add chrome or black bars. Let the beautiful geometry do the talking, love it!
