A very big and good job, john !
Dude this is sublime, the engineering is on point. I cannot like it enough. Absolutely on the ball.
peter thegmtb thx
Nice build, but I’m always afraid of getting bucked off the seat onto the rear tire. Ouch!
damnn man, you did a great job. I Saved your video for my reff.
I Plan to purchase Goldwing 1500 1990, wish me luck brad..
Ade Rizky thanks man I appreciate it. Its forsale if ur interested. Good luck on ur build. And if ya need parts machined get ahold of me i can help ya out.
old video never mind. nice bike
terryclotf thx. Whts ur question
@@mowbetter2010 so what electrical parts did ya leave. i have 86 gl1200 stripped and i want nothing left but only what is needed
terryclotf only the ignition was left when i was done and charging system. I installed a moto gadget for all the turn signals and brake lights and other like items.
mucho trabajo. !!! Muy bien!!!
I liked the way it looked before restoringor modifications
kevinroundtree97 cool thx
Don't understand the concept of taking a perfectly good bike and spending big bucks and time to make it run and ride like s**t.
@@bigmil54 that's because your limited imagination will never allow you to do anything except what your told. Go buy a Harley and be a di ck just like the rest of the narrow minded lo sers out there
Very nicely done. Don't think the rear shock will hold up because as it moves up and down it will also need to pivot sideways due to not being mounted parallel to the arch of frame and swinging arm movement.
john ingardia its done ok so far. Thanks for watching
Awesome
Nice!
always cracks me up when i see people making bikes better than the factory. such an awesome beast. and why WHY arent you building three at the same time to sell two?! you could make so much money of these. i would put something behind my ass to stop me from sliding on to that back tire though.. my nuts are just like 'oh, hell no".
i could never ride rear sets or mid sets with my knees. i like the drag bars or crosser bars and little more height. when i win the lotto i will give you an order. really really dig these monoshockers. but why no video of a start up with a burn out and a wheelie?!!!
Thad Lucken i have those vids of the wheelie and burn outs. Lol. Glad to see you really like the bike. I can build ya one if ya want or i will sell you this one. The sliding off the seat is really not a problem. Thanks for the awesome kindness bout my bike. There is a vid of it being started and a small rev.
Thad Lucken have ya won lotto yet. Bike is for sale if you are interested. Like to have 2500 for it. Thx
That biuld looks amazing. And I've been thinking about getting a bmw r100 oder a goldwing like yours to costomise. I especially like the way the bmw tank looks on your bike. Did you have change a lot to fit that bmw tank onto the motorcycle?
that thing is siiiiiiicccckkkk!!
cheyennepug thx
np
Love that Weber? carburettor setup.
you are perfection, Im like your ideas. up of standard and many vision. im sorry my inglish.
The original would have been great getting rid of the bed pan seat and losing the rear rack.
What a marvellous piece of skilled engineering and forethought. How long did it take to build? Did you do all the paint and powdercoat finishes yourself.
Pat yourself on the back my man. Awesome job.:-)
damage1_1 I don’t do much painting but I did do most of the powder coating all of it but the frame. No oven big enough yet. Took about three months to build it. Thanks I really enjoy riding this bike it handles really well. Glad ya like it.
What kind velocity stacks are you using and where can I buy some for a Goldwing gl1200 thanks
I made the intakes for mine and I'm running the ebay webber copies. Might check randakks.com
he might make intakes for the 1200 too. the velocity stacks came with my carbs. They are idf40 carbs
Hello,
Which motorcycle fork did you install on your GL 1000?
I used a 2008 Gsxr 600 forks, bottom triple tree, and stem with conversion bearings from allballsracing.com
How does it perform with those carbs? Good I hope coz I just bought some. Ha ha
Definitely needed air filters. The draft over them caused them to be a little goofy above 45-50 mph
It ran at wide open throttle really well made really good hp.
I was running the 75 model came shafts too
What shock did you use, trying to make one myself. Thanks
Gsxr 750 rear
Nice build, where did you stash the battery and fuse box?
Daniel ingrao no fuse box left after cutting down the harness. I used a moto gadget and its in the tunnel of the tank. Used a small lithium battery just mounted on the back of the engine
John lambert cool I was thinking about using the m-unit. How hard was it to do that fork swap? My GL1200 has those air forks and they have to go.
Daniel ingrao wasn’t to bad. I took the original stem and put it in the gsxr 600 triple tree. Bought the conversion bearings from allballz. The stem did take a little machining that i did. Then i made the top clamp
Bike is now for sale 2500 asking on 7-12-19
What kind of forks did you use?
Alex Faile 08 gsxr 600 front forks
@@mowbetter2010 thank you
it's really kind of a shame he wasn't able to use the original carbs believe it or not they run much better than them twin style manifolds those manifolds create a induction problem we're they're not exactly the same size as the head port
I actually port matched them to the heads because I machined them myself and welded them up. It ran very well
That's awesome good to hear. That extra mile always pays off
Front tire is on backwards
bfarm44 nah its on the correct direction
that looks more like a scrambler
GreenMachineFreak cool cool thx
Tant de travail pour en faire une moto moche !
Just another butchered bike. SAD.
Leicester Blackthorne thx
Yuck!
J S thx. Ya know wht they say everyone has an opinion
