So, this song is not written in Arabic at all. The language is Urdu/Hindi. The word 'habibi' is also a word in Urdu with the same meaning (Arabic loan word). Urdu as a language is highly influenced by Persian (and not that much by Arabic). The music feels Arabic (Middle-Eastern) but is actually a form of Indo-Persian music style, which developed when emperors like Alauddin Khilji (the emperor) ruled modern-day North India. He was from a Turkic-Afghan lineage. One thing you'd want to have in mind for all rulers who ruled the Indian subcontinent is that they were extremely lavish, top-notch womanizers, lovers of art, poetry and alcohol (except a few). After the Delhi Sultanate (Khilji's empire), the Mughal empire was established. They were Turkic Mongols. Naturally, Persian flourished, which today is predominantly spoken in Iran (aka Persia). Urdu was born around Delhi when Persian interacted with the native language (which also birthed Hindi, Hindi is influenced by Sanskrit). Poetry in Urdu is a traditional practice of art. It is called 'Shayari' and it's enjoyed by everyone who knows the language. The translations which you read are even more magical and profound in Urdu. Tbh, translations fail horribly to show how beautiful Urdu is. I hope this helps you understand the culture a little deeper. As of today, the Indo-Persian culture is present along with the Hindu culture, which is the dominant one. I'd love it if you check out the song 'Namo Namo' from Kedarnath. The lyrics are in pure Hindi and is a devotional song in the praise of Lord Shiva, see if you feel any different :)

'Khalibali' means 'carefree and wild'... derives it's origin from Arabic. In this context it translates to - my heart has become 'crazy'. Indian cinema is divided by languages because of the diversity in the country. Hindi speaking population accounts for about 43% and therefore Bollywood enjoys the largest viewership. But there are multiple other film fraternities too like Telegu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayali, Bengali, Marathi and many more. Each has their own uniqueness. The mainstream Indian cinema has evolved from folk plays (which were essentially like musicals), that is why it has integrated music, dance and drama so well. there are actually a few words in arabic since bollywood lyricist tend to use alot of urdu words and urdu has alot of arabic words such as ishq and duniya
I agree that Ranveer singh is a great actor, at first I was shocked at how he could change so much from one movie to another lol. And Waloucha and Efra, you guys are doing great. I don't quite get why we can't get something "perfectly right" while it's the essence of art; "having or building different perspectives"!!! But know that you guys are really smart, and your musical understanding is incredible 💜💜💜💜🇩🇿
The Arabic influences are there because the villain is an invader from there. Its amazing how much accurately you can interpret from just the music . Its mind blowing 🤯 so awesome guys. ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Girl you definitely interpreted the song rightly.
Today india lost Lata Mangeshkar the most legendary singer to ever exist in Indian music industry. To be honest she is referred as a vocal god and she has sung over 700 songs throughout her career and I think you guys should react to few of her most iconic performances which includes "Ye kahan aagate hum"
The story is about a muslim emperor thus the Arabic influence...movie is also about lust ,ego and war...Choreographed by GANESH ACHARYA .. movie directed by Sanjay leela bhansali (SLB) 👍...this song is similar to another popular song which came out before by the same director and Choreographer called MALHARI (A victory celebration song)..
I watched this movie in IMAX - And yes! - Indian Epic/Historical Drama whichever produced lately and distributed on IMAX does gives you an unmatched immersive AV experience! Indian Cinema has always been about AV and that's how we sell stories.
I'm A Turkish Indian ,And I can speak both Arabic and Urdu as well as Hindi. ! Arabic language has lot of similarities Indian languages especially Persian ones ! Just accent changes meaning and pronounciation mostly same at many points as well as cultures and music !
Ranveer Singh starts both in ,'bajirao Mastani ' and 'padmavat'. He's incredible. The trio of him , Sanjay Leela bhansali and choreographer ganesh aachyarya are seen in another song "malhari ".It is also same kinda vibe...with leader dancing with his army. You should check it out too.♥️
Another song from Shivam Pathak (also from Padmaavat) is "Ek Dil Ek Jaan". The song is more classical and the vocals and music are just amazing. The music video is nice to watch but the song is cut short so I would suggest reacting to the lyrical video which has the full song :) PS: Shivam Pathak was also a contestant on Indian Idol S5. Also while you're at it, you can also react to other Padmaavat songs: Ghoomar by Shreya and Nainowale Ne by Neeti Mohan. Or you can save them for when you watch the movie 😊
Both the movies you plan to watch are based on history / folklore and fantasy. Both were hugely popular, had great visuals and choreography. Not the best, but good luck watching
SANJAY LEELA BHANSALI is a gifted director, who makes his MOVIES VISUALLY STUNNING CINEMATOGRAPHY.. attention to minute details all his works are masterpieces
You get the madness of this character perfectly!! I hope you watch the movie, it sure is visually captivating, not the accurate depiction of history, but it is definitely a great movie!
Wow! You reacted to this. I was hoping you would. Raveer Singh is playing Alauddin Khilji. He is dancing wearing clothes that weigh like 15 kg, but it doesn't look like it. The movie is Padmavat a must watch. He is singing in Arabic/Urdu. Urdu is a hybrid of Hindi and Arabic.
you guys should definitely react to the songs ' Man Mandira' ( the shrine/temple of your mind) this song is about a teacher instructing his student to illuminate the shrine of his mind and ' Sur Niragas Ho ' ( let music/singing be innocent) . this song is a prayer to lord Ganesha ( a hindu god ) to let music be free from negative emotions like envy. They are from the movie ' Katyar Kaljat Ghusli' ( A dagger through heart) which is a Marathi-language epic musical drama film . All the other songs from that movie are beautiful too :)
Every song from this beautiful movie are worth watching. From 'Ghoomar', 'Ek Dil Ek Jaan', 'Naino Wale Ne' to 'Holi' song, every song is beautiful and you should react to every song from this movie. Please...
React to live performance of song "lal meri pat" by three woman legends from 3 countries singing together- Abida Parveen (Pakistan) Asha Bhosle (India) and Runa Laila (Bangladesh). Atif Aslam also sings with them.
2:51 Bollywood actors don't break their character during dance sequences. They h've to be in the character while dancing even though the character they're playing is breaking the fourth wall. Also, the songs are directed by the choreographers' hired for the particular song. The job of the movie director becomes secondary, here.
"Ganesh Acharya" the same choreographer who did the song "Oo Antava"- from the movie Pushpa -- Released just few months back-- now a cult classic.. check it out.. And Sanjay Leela Bhansali -- same guy who directed Bajirao mastani Interesting BTS :- The actor, Ranveer Singh had fever while filming this...which made this song propelled it even further
This dude is possessed by power Damn, you just saw the character for a few seconds and the accurate description of characters you make in every single video, girl The skill of accurately guessing the plot of movie and fate of many characters before the video even starts properly 😅and the skill of accurately analysing the deep psychology of characters and lyrics is just magnificent You are so intelligent, girl. I have noticed that in many videos.
11:44 The actor Ranveer Singh actually had a really tough time coming out of that psychotic character. He was so into it that it even influenced his real life.

Atleast stop requesting other stuffs for a day. Mourn for what a pure soul we lost. Lata Mangeshkar 😥. The one whose songs we different generations listened up while growing. For whom Music was not just singing , but sacred devotion. Her voice Hold emotions . A personality who had such a authority in her voice and at the same time it was sweet like honey which made not just India but the whole world bow down praising her , intoxicated by her . The kind and humble soul who sung more than 30,000 songs in 36 different language and dialects. It was her hardwork and dedication to Indian music. Inspiration to many and always gave way to young talents. It was a pleasure and blessing that she was born in India.we all know that it's just very little of her journey . Rest In Peace 🕊️ Your Voice and personality will always remain immortal. 🙏 Our Lata di
As you guys seem keen to explore classical Indian music, I would suggest you please react to the songs of the Marathi movie 'Katyar Kaljat Ghusali'...especially the songs 'Aruni Kirani', 'Dil ki Tapish' and 'Surat Piya Ki'. In fact, the whole album is a musical masterclass I'm sure you will enjoy
I am learning the art of how they discuss or review a song . Song started: first scene flute playing and only a Tree is visible. Waleska Herrera: Paused the song straight away (we audiences confused) . Wow what a n earthy rhythmic section of the flute playing and the grounded pounded movement of air floating around the tree . Never seen such green tree with so many leaves on top and the massiveness of the trees and production value incorporated in the video and sound of poweplay of the flute and the uni sense and power dynamic of the scene and incredibly shot . Amazing Me in the meantime !!!! 😮😮😮😮😮 Where is the fast forward button ⏩ 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I love you guys . 🤣🤣🤣🤣
this is the most nuanced review of the masterpiece Khali bali ... without understanding the context you people have a great observation skills for visual representation and music too.
1:34 it is known as the mouth harp. It is very amazing that you guys actually mentioned this because it is very distinct. The turks and mongols use this. Edit: 8:27 this type of dance and choreography is very similar to the Turkish Dervishes and also some other Islamic sects when doing Dhikr or meditation as seen from the eagle view. Today legendary singer and Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar passed away in Mumbai, the ‘Nightingale of India’. She has left behind a treasure trove of songs vocalised in her mellifluous voice, sung across a career that lasted for over 70 years. She was one of the greatest Indian playback singers. Today is a sad day not only for the Indian music Industry but for our whole nation... We lost out most valuable gem.. We lost "Lata Mangeshkar"
You must do a reaction on legendary Lata Mangeshkar ji (we use this word as a respect). Today is the dark day for India as the Voice of our country has left for heavenly abode. Her notes resonate 🙏😞
I've heard that Queen Padmini (also known as Padmavati) had Persian roots.. So they may have possibly used that as inspiration and incorporated it for her character development and as well as the music throughout the film. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong:) Sanjay Leela Bhansali Sir is the Director of this film and as well as the composer of this song. He is truly a rare gem.. a gift to Indian Cinema. Here is a link to the making of the song: ua-cam.com/video/hMSMe3T98iE/v-deo.html
Why do foreigners always say Arab or English when we use a few foreign words, yet when they say yoga, karma, zero, etc, they're quiet? I love you guys, but reassess this issue.
This is Allauddin Khilji he died on 4th 1316 AD, he ruled Delhi Sultanate for a brief period. brutal king who lusted for an Indian queen, but was having a same sex relationship with his servant Mallik Kafur,.the guy in the preview song with the Torch you probably saw. The story of the movie is about, how his lust led to the battle and destruction and finally the queen and all ghe woman of the Indian kingdom comming mass suicide by lighting a fire and running into it....called Jauhar..
I recently came across your channel, and how you've dissected and explained the music and choreography of this song has me stunned. Thank you for explaining it so well, now I have a new found respect for these movies and the work that goes into making them
ONE TIME IN HISTORY, INDIANS WERE UPTO THE ARABS, AND THE OTHER PART, RECENT ONE, ARABS CAME UPTO INDIA... SO THERE IS A VERY NICE CROSS AND MIX OF CULTURES.
The "boing boing" sound in the beginning is a long wind instrument. Either it's a Tibetan horn or something similar to that with mongolian origin. It creates a very low pitch, growling sound that creates vibration to long ranges.
RAM LEELA, BAJIRAO MASTANI, PADMAVAT all these are Directed by SANJAY LEELA BHANSALI....music and visual appearance and most importantly acting is so so so mind blowing in all these.
Its not a romantic love song it's like a person who is more into girls and chases many girls saw a very beautiful girl and become fascinated....the tone and music of the song is of excitement not of love....just see the movie you will understand....this song is made according to his character👍🏽
waleska : this must have been so cool to film meanwhile ranveer on the set : literally having high grade fever and vomiting like 15 times during the shoot due to heat issue and his costume
And also when an army is suddenly attacked by other army so they use word "khalbali" in urdu novels to represent the choas and breaking of lines in that army. So, khalibali represents the emotions of chaos and disruption And for background this word khalbali is purposely used for portraying disruption and chaos in army lines Hence, as a commander of army, this word suited his emotions well
This is actually a practice still done by the modern Indian Army. Check the Badluram song of Assam regiment. That is what the movie song reminds me of. Singing or dancing together to boost morale of the soldiers.

thats Ranvir Singh , husband of Deepika in real life, he paired up w her in 3 sanjay leela bhansali movies, ram leela (they started dating irl cos of this movie), then bajirao mastani and now instead of playing the male protagonist he plays the villain in padmaavat. he looks different in all of these films which is why u guys don't recognise him haha, he's super versatile n talented, also a great dancer (pls react to his tattad tattad song and malhari song)
Also, watch 'Malhari song from Bajirao Mastani' and it's making video too. Sanjay Leela Bansali is the Director and music composer of the movies Padmavat , Bajirao Mastani and also RamLeela. The last one Romeo Juliet hindi version.
India has been a home to tons of Empires. We had Mughal Dynasty in India for a very long time. So, y'all see they came to us. We didn't! It's Indian Influence that gets people into this land.
The actor wanted to play alauddin khalji..What he played was how palpatin should have been just after becoming emperor..The power is radiating off him in this song..alauddin was probably the most powerful sultan of delhi ( and the most powerful emperor of india beside mauryans and mughals) before akbar himself
Khilji was a turkic ruler whose descendants used to live in Afghanisthan, they invaded India and ruled the Delhi sultanate, he spoke Turkic native language and arabian/Persian
This villain invader in history was middle eastern. That's why Arabic sounding words here and there in his scenes in the film. The other side people in the movie have Indian indigenous music.
Hindi's sentence structure is Subject-Object-Verb. That's why we end so many sentences with 'hai' is a verb meaning 'to be. English's sentence structure is Subject-Verb-Object. Hence no sentence in English ends with a verb. So Khalibali doesn't mean heart, it's actually 'Dil' (which for some reason comes at the end of the line due to some grammatical loophole) But anyways even if Hindi and English are related directly translating isn't going anywhere lol.
"Padmavat" and " Baji rao mastani" both of them are history based true stories . MUST WATCH. Rest left for you both to know yourselves after watching the movie.

Books can be a representation of history so as poems, can't blantently claim that they are fiction as the characters do exist in real life.
Invaders are not emperor & particularly who had evil eye on our queen.

there are actually a few words in arabic since bollywood lyricist tend to use alot of urdu words and urdu has alot of arabic words such as ishq and duniya
@@ranamselem171 that's also right
Bro listen it again..
Omg! Is that Algerian. Love from Al Hind (India) 😇❤️☪️💯💪🏻👍🏻🤝🏻✌🏻
The Arabic influences are there because the villain is an invader from there.
Its amazing how much accurately you can interpret from just the music . Its mind blowing 🤯 so awesome guys. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Girl you definitely interpreted the song rightly.
He’s Afghan/Turkic not from an Arab country
@@rkay4998 it’s the same thing tho urdu is heavily inspired by persian

Guys .. don’t pause so many times 🥴🥴🥴🥴 it gets annoying sometimes..
If they don't pause they'll get copyrighted
@@winter_peach Agreed, but taking almost 20 minutes to watch a 3 and a half minute long video is a bit too much
It doesn’t
You guys NEED to react to “Pranavalayam” music video from the movie Shyam Singha Roy. Trust me you’ll love it!
Absolutely,,,,,
I hope this comment gets seen.
The music video is nice to watch but the song is cut short so I would suggest reacting to the lyrical video which has the full song :)
PS: Shivam Pathak was also a contestant on Indian Idol S5.
Also while you're at it, you can also react to other Padmaavat songs: Ghoomar by Shreya and Nainowale Ne by Neeti Mohan. Or you can save them for when you watch the movie 😊
Could you please react to Ghoomar (from the same movie) and Nagada Sang Dhol? You'll love the visuals, dancing, and percussive elements!
Both the movies you plan to watch are based on history / folklore and fantasy. Both were hugely popular, had great visuals and choreography. Not the best, but good luck watching
Watch out 'Nagada sang dhol baaje' song from the movie Ramleela. That song is visually fantastic, musically heavy with the percussions.
Khalibaali means crazy. Dil is heart.
Hindi and Persian with some arabic loan words
@@sarthakkukreti2444 yeah
you guys should definitely react to the songs ' Man Mandira' ( the shrine/temple of your mind) this song is about a teacher instructing his student to illuminate the shrine of his mind and ' Sur Niragas Ho ' ( let music/singing be innocent) . this song is a prayer to lord Ganesha ( a hindu god ) to let music be free from negative emotions like envy. They are from the movie ' Katyar Kaljat Ghusli' ( A dagger through heart) which is a Marathi-language epic musical drama film . All the other songs from that movie are beautiful too :)
Yes man mandira, aur niragas, surat piya ki, dil ki tapish. All songs of katyar kaljat ghusli.
Today 6 FEB
Great Indian Singer LATA MANGESHKAR die at age of 92
She was a great singer
Ghoomar is the next song u should watch, it is from same movie padmavat it is awesome 👍
Ek dil ek jaan is most beautiful song from this movie musically speaking ❤
You guys would love Kalank by Arijit Singh
You should watch both BAJIRAO MASTAANI AND PADMAAVAT ... Historical epic war fantasy thriller
If you try to know more about the actor, you will definitely love him.. Check another song 'malhari' from Bajirao Mastani
"Ganesh Acharya" the same choreographer who did the song "Oo Antava"- from the movie Pushpa -- Released just few months back-- now a cult classic.. check it out..
And Sanjay Leela Bhansali -- same guy who directed Bajirao mastani
Interesting BTS :- The actor, Ranveer Singh had fever while filming this...which made this song propelled it even further
This dude is possessed by power
Damn, you just saw the character for a few seconds and the accurate description of characters you make in every single video, girl
The skill of accurately guessing the plot of movie and fate of many characters before the video even starts properly 😅and the skill of accurately analysing the deep psychology of characters and lyrics is just magnificent
You are so intelligent, girl.
I have noticed that in many videos.
11:44 The actor Ranveer Singh actually had a really tough time coming out of that psychotic character. He was so into it that it even influenced his real life.
All the songs in this movie are really great! You should listen to nainowale ne from the same movie.
Yesss.
I think you should check out the song Kamli next. It sanged by legendary Sunidhi Chauhan . I m sure you'll love this song guys . Btw love your reactions ✌️
There is many arabic influences in Indian music cause there are many muslim rulers and rulers from east Asia and arab, who have ruled India for a decade 😀
RIP Lata Mangeskar 🙏🏻❤ India lost her legend Singer but she will always be alive in our hearts
I love the thing with you guys is that you pay attention to every details to everything going on in the video generally people pay attention to the dance and song and anything that is noticable but you guys are keen sometimes you guys noticed something's which I never ever saw before even though I watched that for more than 1 time love for you respect and attention💜😍
Atleast stop requesting other stuffs for a day. Mourn for what a pure soul we lost. Lata Mangeshkar 😥.
The one whose songs we different generations listened up while growing. For whom Music was not just singing , but sacred devotion. Her voice
Hold emotions .
Rest In Peace 🕊️
Your Voice and personality will always remain immortal.
🙏
Our Lata di
Ranveer Singh was so engrossed in his character that he required a psychiatrist to stabilise himself
Amazing
Me in the meantime !!!! 😮😮😮😮😮 Where is the fast forward button ⏩ 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love you guys . 🤣🤣🤣🤣
this is the most nuanced review of the masterpiece Khali bali ... without understanding the context you people have a great observation skills for visual representation and music too.
The usually come close and rotate in such a manner.
Goddess of Music which arrived earth in 1929 had departed back to her Temple she came from. Ma Lata Mangeshkar.
U should definitely watch this movie 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Rip for Lata ji 😢🙏💐we lost our music gem
" Dill " means heart and khalibali means "full of craziness " ( khalibali ho gya hai dill means "my heart went in full of craziness")
Trust Me Guys The Visual Experience of watching such movies on the big screen is nothing short of a treat to our eyes!!
No Queen Padmini is from shrilanka and Mastani bai's mother from parsia
Why do foreigners always say Arab or English when we use a few foreign words, yet when they say yoga, karma, zero, etc, they're quiet?
I love you guys, but reassess this issue.
Rip lata mangeshkar ji 💔
End of era 🥺
Thank you for explaining it so well, now I have a new found respect for these movies and the work that goes into making them
Lata Mangeshkar ji is no more with us. The legend left us yesterday #riplataji
Please do check "Bolo Har Har Har" song from "Shivaay".
You can't miss this Masterpiece.
It's my first time to love the bad guy in the movie, and he was a great character too.
You need to watch Ghoomar and Ek Dil Ek Jaan from the same movie - musical masterpieces!
Brilliant reaction & Ego+power interpretation you guys made is spot on ;)
RAM LEELA, BAJIRAO MASTANI, PADMAVAT all these are Directed by SANJAY LEELA BHANSALI....music and visual appearance and most importantly acting is so so so mind blowing in all these.
Its not a romantic love song it's like a person who is more into girls and chases many girls saw a very beautiful girl and become fascinated....the tone and music of the song is of excitement not of love....just see the movie you will understand....this song is made according to his character👍🏽
waleska : this must have been so cool to film
meanwhile ranveer on the set : literally having high grade fever and vomiting like 15 times during the shoot due to heat issue and his costume
Choreographer/music director - Ganesh Acharya
Film director - Sanjay Leela Bhansali
And also when an army is suddenly attacked by other army so they use word "khalbali" in urdu novels to represent the choas and breaking of lines in that army.
So, khalibali represents the emotions of chaos and disruption
And for background this word khalbali is purposely used for portraying disruption and chaos in army lines
Hence, as a commander of army, this word suited his emotions well
The instrument in the beginning is ( Didgeridoo ) native to indigenous people of Australia.
Pls react to punjabi music too. Songs like 'Ki banu duniya da', 'Udariyaan' have amazing music and singing is amazing too.
This is actually a practice still done by the modern Indian Army. Check the Badluram song of Assam regiment. That is what the movie song reminds me of. Singing or dancing together to boost morale of the soldiers.
Recently found your Channel. Love your passion and understanding. Your explanations are almost spot on!
please react to "Mere naam tu" by Abhay Jodhpurkar❤❤,I bet you will be blown away by the music and melody of that song. 🤗❤ The music arrangement will BLOW YOU UP!
It's composed by Ajay-Atul
thats Ranvir Singh , husband of Deepika in real life, he paired up w her in 3 sanjay leela bhansali movies, ram leela (they started dating irl cos of this movie), then bajirao mastani and now instead of playing the male protagonist he plays the villain in padmaavat. he looks different in all of these films which is why u guys don't recognise him haha, he's super versatile n talented, also a great dancer (pls react to his tattad tattad song and malhari song)
Oh myy god your reaction and observations that you make are just so precise and perfect.. love your channel
He is an Murderous Invader from Turkey/Arab influence ..so they mixed bit of Arabic & Indian Music fusion....
The actor wanted to play alauddin khalji..What he played was how palpatin should have been just after becoming emperor..The power is radiating off him in this song..alauddin was probably the most powerful sultan of delhi ( and the most powerful emperor of india beside mauryans and mughals) before akbar himself
I Think you guys should take an Insurance for your Pause Button 😂
This villan's real name is ranveer singh who also played as a bajirao(lead actor) in bajirao mastani movie
He’s not playing an Arab character in the movie, but the song is DEFINITELY influenced by Arabic music
But he's playing Afghan
Hindi's sentence structure is Subject-Object-Verb. That's why we end so many sentences with 'hai' is a verb meaning 'to be. English's sentence structure is Subject-Verb-Object. Hence no sentence in English ends with a verb.
So Khalibali doesn't mean heart, it's actually 'Dil' (which for some reason comes at the end of the line due to some grammatical loophole)
But anyways even if Hindi and English are related directly translating isn't going anywhere lol.
Director is Sanjay Leela Bhasali. He's new movie is coming soon 'Gangubai Khatayawadi'
"Padmavat" and " Baji rao mastani" both of them are history based true stories . MUST WATCH. Rest left for you both to know yourselves after watching the movie.
I want "lata mangeshkar special" episode. We lost her today 😓
Please make a video on following songs.
Sheesha ho ya dil
Satyam shivam sundaram
Pyar kiya to darna kya
Kuhu kuhu bole koyaliya
Tere mere beech me kaisa hai ye Bandhan
Please make a long video on these songs.
Film is based on true story and the character is Alauddin khilji the nawab of Delhi, so it has arabic influence
Sanjay leela bhansali is both director of movie and music
Man ..u have got great patience ✌️.. Everytime she pauses the video in between I can see in ur face.. 😂😂✌️❤️❤️❤️
Actually he is the Muslim King in the movie. So to give it that taste , it is more Arab influenced
