Of course it can be taught! I learnt in a few hours starting with a glass and (a thin) straw, like he says here, your friend just needs to try a bit harder
Don't tell Kenny G it can't be taught; he held the world record for circular breathing, holding a note for 45 minutes, and then posted a UA-cam video teaching it. I also learned it from UA-cam videos. tell your friend to hang in there and keep working at it. Anybody can do it.
i can do circular breathing, but when i do it, the chanter sound goes higher when i breath in and lower when i breath out. I can't get them to sound exactly the same throughout the whole tune:(
If you can't exhale, you will diiiiiiiie, mouhaha! Dude, you're quite the joker. I think I'll only understand with a live performance...that's if I ever get it.
hello, i play the pipes and developed this naturaly (by acident) and i fellow piper tried this to your exact instructions and it didnt work, to be honest its not a skill that can be taught :-/ good video tho
The BEST explanation I've seen of the mechanics behind the technique of circular breathing.
Many thanks for posting.
That's the most straight forward explanation of circular breathing I've ever seen!!
Thanks
thank you a straight forward example
will now go & practice
I understand and tried the water example... it went everywhere!lol
Thanks for posting.
P.s. I still can't do it!
It's very easy to do on a pratice chanter. I can now play for an indefinate period of time without stopping if I don't want to.
