As somebody who did the 40 hour fast last year and tried to “make up for it” by having a huge breakfast on Easter Sunday, I can relate heavily to The Binger. Also, I didn’t know Laura could cartwheel!
Haha, I can relate to that too based on my previous Easter feast experience. This time I will break the fast with soup and bread before taking the big Easter meal !
The employees were actually inside at 8am when we went to go film. I explained to them through the glass I'd be running towards them and am not trying to rob their store. They all watched through the windows- it was actually pretty humiliating, and so worth it.
Reflecting after I watched this and realized.... I've been every one of those moms at various times! 😂 Thanks for the laugh at myself! Praise the Lord for His Humor and Mercy!
Literally watching this while putting the baby to bed after the vigil. Now I have to go downstairs and fill the Easter baskets 😅. You are so funny, Laura; definitely a levity the Catholic online world needs right now.
Burst out in loud laughter multiple times. This is my first year celebrating Easter since my childhood and my very first time participating at a church that follows a liturgical calendar and observing Triduum, attending all three liturgies. This year I'm the overdoer, and full on planned on Easter decorating after the vigil 😭
Ive been corrected about *where* in the greeting I said “indeed”…I had responded “He is Risen indeed!” instead of “indeed he is Risen!”….Of all the contexts to exercise scrupulosity…in communities that have decades of revised translations into various vernaculars of even the liturgies, where if you actually attend frequently enough, you will hear clergy and choirs reciting from different formulations from the service book in your hands or in the pews…like just happened to me last night. 😊 “unity in diversity” 🤣
I’m still trying to wrap my head around that one. Do Eastern Catholics give up dairy or something? Or do they just have a thing against cheese during certain times of the year?
@@jendoe9436 Yes, you are correct about giving up dairy for Lent. All animal products are given up, first all meat products and then a few days later all dairy and eggs. People ideally commit to the fast all days during Lent and can eat only one meal a day. In the Ruthenian tradition of Byzantine Catholicism there is a tradition on Holy Saturday or early Easter morning to bring baskets of the food that will be eaten on Easter day and the priest blesses the food. Items might include ham, sausages, eggs, butter, cheese, a round loaf of Easter bread, bacon, horseradish etc. Sometimes the butter is molded in the shape of a lamb. I used to attend a Byzantine Catholic church when I lived in Maryland since it was the town's Catholic church. I really enjoyed the services and the traditions and the social events.
@@deirdregibbons5609 ah, that’s pretty neat. So pretty much religious vegans? 😅 Like does honey count as an animal product? That type of dedication is pretty admirable, though not sure if I could ever go for that level. Sweets and processed sugars are already tough for me to give up, and I’m too omnivorous to give up meat. But the butter lambs sound so cute!
@@jendoe9436 It is really admirable to commit to such a fast. There are other fast days through the year, and every Friday is meatless. I think honey would be an animal product. In the olden days wine and oil were also off limits if they were kept in an animal skin, like a leather bottle or flask. In the Byzantine Catholic church I attended people ideally committed to the whole Lent, but there was also the option of observing it on Wednesdays and Fridays mainly. The advantage most of these Eastern Catholics have is they originated in parts of the world where there are plentiful vegetables, fruits, beans and nuts and grains so people can enjoy delicious and healthy meals. Some parishes have made very good cookbooks for people to get recipe ideas for Lent. I agree on the sugar. Honey is probably off the menu but there are options like raw unrefined sugar, fruit juice, licorice herb, stevia, raisins and cinnamon. Even carrots can add sweetness. Yes, the lamb butter is adorable. You can find on the Internet pictures of the baskets and explanations of the tradition. Did you know that the fellow from Pints with Aquinas is a Byzantine Catholic? His family attend a church in Ohio. He is going to be interviewing Laura Horn on his UA-cam channel tomorrow.
I believe the exact words out of my mouth when I came home were "That vigil was so long, but so worth it....now we just have to get the kids to bed so I can hide the Easter eggs"....so...no question which one I am 😅
(Almost) finished with the Holy Week in Handprints project from Catholic Icing that I did with my two 4 year olds for Holy week... It's like 20 pages of finger-painting through Holy Week, and I highly recommend if you never want to paint with your kids again. Definitely feeling like the over -doer this year 😂
I invited my wife to watch the overdoer because she is one. She laughed the whole time! It was wonderful to see her smile at herself. The only part you missed was the light reception after the Vigil Mass , where we have to stay until we are the last few people left, even though he kids and husband are completely shelled out already. Haha!
So funny! This year I’m the overdoer. I baked a cake for my husband and lamb cake is in the oven but hope it turns out. Good thing I vacuumed as my backs already sore. I’m sure I’m gonna feel the aches on Easter morning!
Not my overdoer self watching this while I make Easter baskets for the entire neighborhood and my “alleluia addict” neighbor shouts her praise so loud I can literally hear it through the walls. 😅😅
They said that women aren't funny at stand-up comedy and I agree. Stand-up is like war battle strategy. You have to spend a long time setting it up and then go in for the kill. Women are good at wordplay and sarcastic humour during conversation. They can also be good at sketch comedy like Laura Horn and Lucille Ball.
Over doer until I couldn't keep up then freeloader, the majority are grown and I'm not sure what I am this Easter. 20 years ago we switched to the Eastern Rite. For years my friend would call me and try to get to say Indeed He has risen! in Slovak. I still can't. Blessed Easter! Alleluia! Christ is Risen! Indeed, He has Risen!
Sure! It's this one: www.monasteryicons.com/product/rosary-contemplation-icon-946/icons-of-the-virgin-mary The shipping was expensive, but it's been really great to have during our rosary!
You forgot the "Well Intentioned" Catholic mom who buys a bunch of Easter treats for the kids and never actually puts it together and instead just anti-climactically hands them out. Or the "Dead Beat" Catholic mom who tells her kids that the Easter Bunny isn't real and doesn't bother to throw even empty eggs on the floor as a bone for the kids. Speaking strictly from an observational standpoint, of course, not from personal experience...

Why did you have to call me out as The Binger?! 😂 not my fault my family doesn’t know how to cook small portions. We do put on an Easter Egg hunt for the kids, but normally one group distracts them while another places eggs in the afternoon 😅 much easier.
That was our way too. So many aunts, uncles, older cousins we pawned that job off years ago. Now they play Easter Egg hunt in the backyard themselves. NO candy but they have fun in the sunshine😂
Trent, how does it feel to go from one of the top Catholic apologists to the guy who’s married to Laura Horn from Too Far with Laura Horn? Jk Great work as always. Happy Easter!
I’m NOT an overdoer but my husband convinced me to attend the vigil this year lol. I put baskets together during nap time so all I had to do was set them out when we got home. I thanked myself for thinking of that. Definitely would have been crying at 3 am if not 😂
This is so funny because my husband did the 40 hour fast. My 19 year old son did Exodus 90. This was the second year I gave myself permission to hide the eggs in the morning after Easter Vigil but my kiddos are all 13+. I’m finally there, Alleluia Alleluia!
I love that my name is Mary Katherine and both of my sons’ names are Peter and James. John might be the next name if we have another boy one day 😂 I’m definitely the overdoer at the end though 😂😭
I like how Mary, Catherine, and Mary-Catherine are three different people!

10/10 on that cartwheel Laura!! Great episode!

Was very kind of Jesus to hire a giant rabbit to deliver us chocolate eggs!
Reflecting after I watched this and realized.... I've been every one of those moms at various times! 😂

"I think I have the 'betes..."😅😂
😂😂😂

You are the funniest Catholic mom around!!! Happy holy Saturday to the Horn family!!!
its like the catholic 'I love Lucy' I've been missing all these years. Please make an I love Laura sitcom
I am the alleluia addict😂😂. A very blessed and happy Easter to the Horn family!✝️

“I only have 15 more Trent…😭😭😭” this had me rolling 🤣🤣🤣
Each episode gets funnier than the last. Also this is the most effort Trent and Laura have put into. I can't stop watching.

You. R. So. Funny!!😂😂😂😂 I’m binging you and Trent and it’s making me so very happy 😃 ❤
The Eastern Catholic binge eating the cheese was so spot on.

This was amazing!! The cartwheel the craziness at 3:43 in the morning, love it! Alleluia Christ is risen!
If you’ve never had nothing Bundt cake, you’ve gotta try it. Worth that cart wheel she did 😂
the scene of her outside with the eggs at night legit gave me "paranormal activity 1" flashbacks.
🤣
Love the Horn kids' cameo!! ❤️
Cartwheel was something!😮
Thoughtful Yet comedic! All the best wishes from India! 👍🏼
Christus Surrexit Vere, Alleluia! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I died when I saw the overdoer 🤣 I love your sense of humor! You are amazing !

We needed this channel!😂❤ A gift serving Gods stressed children!😅
How about all that standing and kneeling on Good Friday while light-headed from fasting? 😮
This was the best Holy Saturday morning present-AMAZING!
Thank you for the Easter gift! Hilarious! 😂
This is one of my favorites, thank you Laura! Happy Easter 🤠
Indeed He is RISEN, ALLELUIA!
Way to go, Jesus! 😆
Also I love the icons in the background would love have that up on my wall, too

Watched this during my last hour of 40 fasting.
I made it 20 out of 40 hours.. and, yes I do put lemon in my water.😆
This is a classic amazing as always! Happy Easter!🥰❤💕🥳🎉❤
So wholesome 😂😂 Happy Easter you guys!!
That lemon could not have produced a more fitting sound
THIS. IS. AMAZING. Also, I fully gave up at the end hiding my eggs and I legit just sprinkled them on the lawn 😂
Not my overdoer self watching this while I make Easter baskets for the entire neighborhood and my “alleluia addict” neighbor shouts her praise so loud I can literally hear it through the walls. 😅😅
Laura you’re so funny!! And I just realized your husband is Trent!! Lol! Listen to him on the radio often!
This channel is monumental because it proves Matt Walsh wrong; women CAN be funny!
I thought it was Matt Fradd?
Most women aren’t though. I will agree that Laura is an exception.

Hi ! It was Matt Fradd that made the comment. Laura is soooo funny.
I am 78 years old. I just want to relax Rads/Reads?
It was Matt Frad.
This made me laugh soo much 😂 thank you 🤣
This video just reminded me I now have to go out and get more eggs for dying eggs tomorrow 🤦♀️ 😂
This channel is hilarious! 😂
Lovely! God bless ❤
No one gonna talk about that cartwheel?? Impressive stunt work on this sketch
This video makes me feel like I have never been catholic enough. I need to strive harder.
I love this SO MUCH!
"Christ is Risen" "He is risen indeed, Alleluia!" That's how my Lutheran church does it ⛪️
My Parish priest is the Alleluia Addict. It makes for a very joyful Easter Vigil 😂
Hilarious -- and accurate -- every time!

Sure! It's this one: www.monasteryicons.com/product/rosary-contemplation-icon-946/icons-of-the-virgin-mary
The shipping was expensive, but it's been really great to have during our rosary!
I’m the overdoer. 😅❤ it’s currently 12:30am after vigil and my family is asleep while I make candy for tomorrow. 🙈…today? You know

Bahaha, amazing. I'm the Eastern Catholic and my husband is the Overdoer. XD I fell asleep while he was hiding eggs at 1 AM.
Where is your Icon from?! It's beautiful and I'd love to get one.

The 40 hour faster is so true lol
Hi. My name is Carolyn Robinson and I’m an Alleluia Addict.
Latin Mass Catholics do the same as the Eastern in food and greetings too! the "i have the diabetes" had me 😂
Another job well done!
So so funny as always!😂
I feel attacked because I’m all but the potluck freeloader and the 40 hour faster. 💀
ROFL on the Alleluia! I slipped up a few times today with that one!
Indeed, He is… something. Oh right, I remember it now! Indeed, He is awesome! Wait, that’s true, but it doesn’t feel right…
I have never laughed so hard 😂😂😂 so relatable
Way to go Jesus!
Fantastic 🐣
I LIVE for these videos 😂😂
Mild La Llorona vibes in that last one lol
New Mexican nightmares as a child!
That was your best one! 😂😂
I’m NOT an overdoer but my husband convinced me to attend the vigil this year lol. I put baskets together during nap time so all I had to do was set them out when we got home. I thanked myself for thinking of that. Definitely would have been crying at 3 am if not 😂
I may possibly relate to every single one of those😂
Why are you so funny ! 😂
So sympathize with Trent here
“Way to go Jesus”
This lady is a HOOT!
Had to mute the part with the A-word.
Way to go Jesus. 😂
Secret, I started the 40 hour fast Thursday evening and counted meticulously, so I just ate some thing before the vigil.
Not gonna lie when I passed by the catfood bag it screamed CHICKEN FLAVORED....My mouth might have watered a bit 🤤
I've been fasting too and zero carb. I once salivated over the smell of opening a bag of chicken feed. Like, food for my chickens.
This is so funny because my husband did the 40 hour fast. My 19 year old son did Exodus 90. This was the second year I gave myself permission to hide the eggs in the morning after Easter Vigil but my kiddos are all 13+. I’m finally there, Alleluia Alleluia!
What a drama queen! LOL! Love it!
Better ending than The Blair Witch Project
I love that my name is Mary Katherine and both of my sons’ names are Peter and James. John might be the next name if we have another boy one day 😂
I’m definitely the overdoer at the end though 😂😭
Okay I NEED your kitchen table. Where did u get it?!?!
I can't!!! This woman kills me!!! I almost peed myself!
Happy Easter everyone!!!
That's why I do Easter baskets instead of eggs, ROFL.
It’s me. I’m the overdoer. 😂
Is it possible to be all of them? 🤣 Except Anglo-Catholic? The Lord is risen INDEED! ALLELUIA!!
I'm totally the overdoer LOL
Can you please do a skit on 3 days of darkness preparation 😅
Hahaha 😅 😆 😂 😅
Nooo, too much...😂😂😂
So hilarious!! And as a still newbie Eastern Catholic, I have one question: has Laura been spying on me the past two years?
So funny!
The overdoer is my bih fr fr.
The binger is me at 12:00 am on the Saturday after Good Friday. The alleluia person is me at 12:00 am on Easter.
