- There are plenty of videos of Mario vs. Airman 1.01/1.02, but why are there virtually none for version D? Is it because the lettered version is harder than its numbered counterpart, or do people simply not know about it? In any case, here is a run of the alternate version of this popular Super Mario Bros. rom hack.

***** I'd presume Mario, swapping the tile set would be essentially childs play, and "Bowser" has always had HP, so setting up the Bar probably wasn't hard, and the rest is just custom enemies, which if you have seen many ROM hacks, ain't the rarest thing ever, but Mario's Jump Physics are surprisingly hard to emulate. Nintendo nailed it the first time, and its just worked ever since

I remember playing this a long time ago, but the version I played was more of a faithful rendition of the Air Man level than a mash-up (this one must be a slightly newer version). Either way, a rrather impressive hack at the time, and pretty fun too.

This is a Super Mario Bros rom hack. More specifically, I applied the ips patch to 'Super Mario Bros. (W) [!].nes', but any working copy of SMB should do.

I know there's a Mario fangame that has a Airman level in the fangame of Mushroom Kingdom Fusion. Also, this fangame also play as different characters including Sonic the Hedgehog.

This game is so fun. I thought it was impossible at first, but now I can plow through it relatively easily. I wish there were more levels! I'm guessing this is a hack of Super Mario Bros.
When I was a kid, I didn't know that Airman's weakness was the Leaf Shield, so I just used the mega buster (pellets). Killed him everytime that way. Sometimes I went after Airman first, because of his handy Item 2. Cool video!

I could imagine Mega Man being more easier if he could just duck like Mario, or even shoot in different angles, that could make his games a heck a lot more easier, than before.

Well, I do remember seeing another version somewhere on UA-cam, but I could never find the download for it. So really, these are the only two versions that are available. I haven't played any other version of Mario vs. Airman apart from these two.

Seeing this makes me realize how stiff the Megaman games' controls actually are. I love the games to death, but wow, Mario's controls are so silky-smooth that it actually makes him kinda OP when placed into a Megaman level, and that's not even counting being able to kill stuff by stomping it...
