One thing I noticed was when you realised Catherine was quoting an entire sonnet you leaned closer to the screen she drew you right in for the "alien boy" gag at the end. Proud to be British, our humour has so many layers.
David Tennant was my favourite Dr Who and Catherine Tate was an amazing companion! Rose was a nod to billie piper’s character, a previous companion who he ended up with in an alternate reality. Russell T Davies is brilliant 🏴🇬🇧👍
I loved Rose/Billie Piper, she was so good and I was devastated when she left the series. But as for this clip it's brilliant,so funny,Catherine Tate was amazing in Dr.Who and I found it so sad how she left the series, love the connection here between the two of them..Love them both.
Sonic Screwdriver is the name of the item he used at the end to shrink her - but it is more akin to The Master’s TCE (Tissue Compression Eliminator). The Master is The Doctor’s mortal enemy like Moriarty is to Sherlock. The Billie Piper reference was his first companion when he regenerated into David Tennants form. The figure that Catherine Tate is transformed into is a figure of Billie Piper - as at that time there wasnt a Catherine Tate figure around.
Tennant is Doctor Who, but there are more Easter eggs to this. Catherine Tate was his companion for one season. The two of them have also acted in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. The poem was Shakespeare. "Rose" is another companion of the Doctor from his first season (whom he's in love with), played by Billie Piper... LOTS of context from both the show and their work with Shakespeare... If you aren't familiar with Tennant, you're in for a treat. He's an extremely diverse and talented Scottish Actor - separate pages for Filmography and Awards on Wikipedia (for general idea of scale). Played everything from shakespeare to narrating kid's books and Doctor Who to serial killers (fictional and biopics), theatre, audio plays, films, TV series.... PROLIFIC and no such thing as a bad David Tennant performance. Just dive in and keep marveling.
Love how different people get together for Comic Relief rednose day make memorable Skechers And Peter Kay's song is this the way to Amarillo , a must watch
Catherine Tate had just stared in Doctor Who as the new companion when was filmed, Billie Piper played a previous companion, Rose, the wand is called a sonic screwdriver

good reaction kid¬ am a bovvered? is my face bovvered? liked it when she said she didn't like reading, then she bombards him with Shakespeare poetry type (talk/words) cheek back. lol its like she gets to a point, and its like shes triggered, and mouths back.
This is a perfect lesson to apply in real life: DON'T ENGAGE, DON'T DEFEND, DON'T JUSTIFY with these presumed narcissistic individuals bc you investing time and energy is like fuel to them AND THEN WHEN YOUR SNAP you look like the asshole and they use that to their FULL ADVANTAGE to make themselves look more righteous/restrained or aggrieved if they have a false victim pathology. This show is hilarious bc ppl like this exist and all you can do is take the piss at them so you don't let them wear you down. I mean... I think drunken bride is the best example of satirizing complex messy YET RELATABLE interpersonal relationships.
We have something in the UK called pantomine and as we are not that far past the festive season why not check out Jim Davidson's Sinderella PISSED it's funny as hell! Rick Mayall and Ady Edmundsons Bottom is funny too
Damn bro cheers for the reaction!! :D quite of bit of context in the scene. Actress Billie Piper played "Rose" the Doc's companion before Catherine. In real life it was rumoured they had a bit of a thing and even in the show it was the first time the Doctor was known to "fall in love" Their last episode together is really sad but I wont bore ya with all the context haha. Respect to both for a funny scene for charity. Catherine for remembering all those lines. Do you remember David from his appearance in one of the Rab C episodes? Cheers bro. :D:D
Yes remember David as Davina in rab. But that was my first like real look of David at the time of the Rab episode I didn't recognize him but I wont ever forget anymore haha Davina.
Sonic screw driver not a wand lol. The story behind this is... This was filmed for red nose day. It was scripted a lot different. She was meant to be saying the. Ot bothered thing then was to stop talking and david was to get the si icscrewdriver out. But catherine came out with the Shakespeare speech that wasnt in the script catheri e ad libbed that you can see the shock on davids face lol they thought it was so good thats what they went with on the night. No one had any idea she was going to do that she was paying a joke on them the director just loved it so kept it in

Ah man what a surprise David is and always will be my doctor and although it’s been a hot min since we seen Catherine Tate all I can say is Iam I bothered lol
Could you watch a crime drama from the BBC called Line Of Duty, lots of british and scottish acts Loving your videos too and cant wait to watch even more Keep safe, Alistair from Glasgow Scotland
No he was Doctor WHO 3 DOCTORS AGO and he was in Marvel’s Jessica Jones Season 1 as the Purple Man ? and he was in Good Omens as well BUT with everyone under the sun on LOCKDOWN his NEW show with his Co Star from Good Omens and there Real life Wife’s we’re not completely out of LUCK THERE.
The funny thing is Lauren is HIGHLY intelligent, she just has a horrid attitude (I think she's just bored). I've met a few people from school a lot like this.
I remember when I was at school there were a couple of kids whose parents used to mock them if they caught them reading because it was 'for dorks' and they were 'pretending to be posh' and other such nonsense. I also knew one student whose family hd told him that only stupid people worked because 'they just give you money anyway'. Sometimes it does not matter how clever you are, if those are your parents you're going to end up with a bad attitude and screwing up your own education. I agree that the character is highly intelligent but her behaviour reminds me of the kids who just had crap parents.
@@mortisrat True, your upbringing is a large part of how well your education works out. I was like her actually, I screwed up my own grades because I started acting up and getting sent out of class, but that's because I just hated school in general and wanted to not be there. My teenage hormones just told be to rebel against everything and I did. I honestly believe school is just so miserable for many people, you know? getting up at 6am, 6 lessons a day in which we don't actually learn, just parrot what we're told, constant homework, getting home by 4-5 and having 2 hours to ourselves before Dinner then bath then homework and then bed. And once you finally finished school you're thrown straight into college, I'm not surprised I lost interest in everything at this point
