Loved all the live tv shows from the 50s and 60s. Quality TV and thoroughly loved them. Red Skelton, Danny Kay, Jack Benny. Grand Ole Opry, Ed Sullivan, American Bandstand, etc. So thankful to have grown up then!
oh my! i never thought i’d feel this way - it feels so good to see Lloyd Bridges. didn’t know he meant that much to me. of course, his sons are amazing - Beau and Jeff. i guess i liked Sea Hunt more than i thought. 🌊🐟🐠🐬🧜♂️
@@feralbluee Actually, I was walking by the bank on Clement Street in San Francisco while they were filming it. Decades later, I worked in the building where they were filming the opening scene of Radio Days.
Charles is probably a nice fellow, but he's certainly the vaguest guest I've seen. The mastermind probably screened his applicants for their mental acuity -- or rather, their lack of it.
Always a very interesting show. All involved should be proud.

This is probably where Woody Allen got the idea for his movie "Take the Money and Run."

Looks like he picked the wrong day to give up a secret
imagine what they can store now
a robbery of $11k in '64 is equivalent to about $92.3k in 2020~
Or equivalent to $111,249 today March 28, 2024.
So, did Charlie King get another, LEGAL, job?
If this clip was filmed in 1964 the postage on those cards should be 5 cents, not 4 cents!!!
For a post card the cost was indeed 4 cents. To mail a letter was 5 cents.
Looks like Lloyd Bridges picked the wrong week to quit television.

I'm sorry, I cannot stand Woody Allen.
why are you sorry?
