Friday night to Saturday morning is the sabbath. The Catholics changed it to bring about the Sunday law. Jesus came to enforce the law, not change it. The sabbath is the 4th of the original 10 commandments. Common sense tells me to follow the 10 commandments as God commanded. That’s what I believe.

Notice the term first day, Gen1: 5, Second day, Gen1:8, third day - Gen1:13, etc. Can anyone miss the logic here? What makes up the 1st, 2nd, 3rd,....6th day is the same as the 7th Day. How could professed theologians miss this simple fact? Just as God rested during creation week, Christ also rested on the seventh day (Sabbath) and rose/ resurrected on the 1st day Sunday.

New moons, sabbaths, meat, drink etc were part of ceremonial laws which were a “shadow of things to come but the body is of Christ” (Colossians 2:7). Meaning they pointed to the ministry of Christ. Once Christ came and died for us, we don’t have to do it. But the 7th day Sabbath is different from the ceremonial Sabbaths. If you look at Leviticus 23, you’ll be able to see both the 7th day Sabbath and ceremonial Sabbaths. The 7th day Sabbath is mentioned as the Sabbath of the LORD, which is the same as mentioned in the 10 commandments. This Sabbath was not a “shadow of things to come” as it didn’t point to the future ministry of Christ. But rather was a memorial of Creation, “Exodus 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.”. And was given before Jews, and so we are bound to keep it along with the rest of the Ten Commandments.

Doesn't Colossians 2:14-17 do away with the seventh-day Sabbath? Answer: Not at all. It refers only to the sabbaths which were "a shadow of things to come" and not to the seventh-day Sabbath. There were seven yearly holy days, or holidays, in ancient Israel which were also called sabbaths. These were in addition to, or "beside the sabbaths of the Lord" (Leviticus 23:38), or seventh-day Sabbath. These all foreshadowed, or pointed to, the cross and ended at the cross. God's seventh-day Sabbath was made before sin entered, and therefore could foreshadow nothing about deliverance from sin. That's why Colossians chapter 2 differentiates and specifically mentions the sabbaths that were "a shadow." These seven yearly sabbaths which were abolished are listed in Leviticus chapter 23. Additionally, Colossians 2:14 qualifies that it was the “handwriting of ordinances that was against us” that were “blotted out” at the cross. Therefore, all the, “new moons”, “feast days” and “Sabbath days” that are mentioned in verse 16 can only be those contained in the “handwriting of ordinances that were against us”. But what were these “handwriting of ordinances”? It had to do with the Jewish ceremonial laws that were written down on paper by the hand of Moses, not the finger of God on stone. Also, it had to do with all those ceremonial ordinances that were “against us”. In Deuteronomy 31:24-28, we are told that all those ritual laws that were “against us” were written by Moses in the “book of the law”. The passage is clear that this “book of the law” was placed in a side pocket of the Ark of the Covenant. According to Deuteronomy 10:5, the “tables” of stone were placed inside the Ark! Clearly, the Sabbath of the 4th commandment was part of the Ten Commandments placed inside the Ark of the Covenant, and not classified with the “shadow Sabbaths” of Colossians 2:14-17 that pointed forward to Christ’s death. The “shadow Sabbaths” along with the entire ceremonial law pointed FORWARD to Christ’s death, and these were nailed to the cross. The Sabbath of the 4th commandment points BACKWARD to creation. It was not made “against” us, but “for” us. “The Sabbath was made for [not against!] man” (Mark 2:27).

I really appreciate the courage of this man when he preaches, especially on topics related to the events of the last three years. As for this subject, I am sorry to say that what he tried to explain about the true sabbath is not biblical but rather tradition. And tradition in many theological aspects is quite different compared to biblical teaching. At creation, God not only created everything on this earth (vegetation, animals, man) but also that period of time, which we today call the week. If the seventh day was not a 24-hour day, then the concept of a week disappears. Likewise, when God gave the Jewish people the Law of the Ten Commandments through Moses, God used exactly the same words as at creation. The fourth commandment refers to a 24-hour day and not to a spiritual day. Furthermore, neglecting to observe the Sabbath brought death to that person. God Himself said this, and He was extremely angry with the people when they disobeyed this commandment. This clearly shows the importance of this day to God. Where in the New Testament is it mentioned that God canceled his own Law and changed the day of worship from the seventh day Saturday to the first day of the week Sunday? Paul said with reference to the Decalogue that the Law is holy, righteous and good Rom 7.12 What reason would God have to nullify his own Law as long as it is HOLY, RIGHTEOUS AND GOOD.

The days of creation is where we get our week from. Though each day is an evening & a morning (24 hour period), it is not stated on the 7th day Sabbath. Why?? The rest we are to experience in Christ, was & is continual. Respectfully Br Mar, you cannot disregard the 7th day Sabbath, stating it's just a day & then uphold the day Sunday. For Sunday is just a day too. Though, Jesus did not name any other day, but named the 7th day, Sabbath (rest). History records that Christians eventually shifted from worshipping & resting on the seventh day to the first day of the week. Why?? By the time of Paul, there were more gentile converts, who wanting to evangelise the pagans thought they could reach them by worshipping on Sunday too. Answer: Not at all. It refers only to the sabbaths which were "a shadow of things to come" and not to the seventh-day Sabbath. There were seven yearly holy days, or holidays, in ancient Israel which were also called sabbaths. These were in addition to, or "beside the sabbaths of the Lord" (Leviticus 23:38), or seventh-day Sabbath. These all foreshadowed, or pointed to, the cross and ended at the cross. God's seventh-day Sabbath was made before sin entered, and therefore could foreshadow nothing about deliverance from sin. That's why Colossians chapter 2 differentiates and specifically mentions the sabbaths that were "a shadow." These seven yearly sabbaths which were abolished are listed in Leviticus chapter 23. Additionally, Colossians 2:14 qualifies that it was the “handwriting of ordinances that was against us” that were “blotted out” at the cross. The passage is clear that this “book of the law” was placed in a side pocket of the Ark of the Covenant. According to Deuteronomy 10:5, the “tables” of stone were placed inside the Ark! Clearly, the Sabbath of the 4th commandment was part of the Ten Commandments placed inside the Ark of the Covenant, and not classified with the “shadow Sabbaths” of Colossians 2:14-17 that pointed forward to Christ’s death. The “shadow Sabbaths” along with the entire ceremonial law pointed FORWARD to Christ’s death, and these were nailed to the cross. The Sabbath of the 4th commandment points BACKWARD to creation. He used scripture. God's Sabbath is every single day until Judgement. Israel's Sabbath is only Saturday. Now I do not understand how he can say Sabbath is Sunday. For neither God's nor Israel's Sabbath is on Sunday. The Orthodox Church acknowledges Saturday as Israel's Sabbath, however we also recognize that every single say is God's Sabbath, thus every single day is a day for worship and devotion. Sunday is unique in that it is The Lord's Day, and the day in which we receive Holy Communion.

I really appreciate the courage of this man when he preaches, especially on topics related to the events of the last three years. As for this subject, I am sorry to say that what he tried to explain about the true sabbath is not biblical but rather tradition. And tradition in many theological aspects is quite different compared to biblical teaching.
At creation, God not only created everything on this earth (vegetation, animals, man) but also that period of time, which we today call the week. If the seventh day was not a 24-hour day, then the concept of a week disappears. Likewise, when God gave the Jewish people the Law of the Ten Commandments through Moses, God used exactly the same words as at creation. The fourth commandment refers to a 24-hour day and not to a spiritual day. Furthermore, neglecting to observe the Sabbath brought death to that person. God Himself said this, and He was extremely angry with the people when they disobeyed this commandment. This clearly shows the importance of this day to God. Where in the New Testament is it mentioned that God canceled his own Law and changed the day of worship from the seventh day Saturday to the first day of the week Sunday? Paul said with reference to the Decalogue that the Law is holy, righteous and good Rom 7.12

Though each day is an evening & a morning (24 hour period), it is not stated on the 7th day Sabbath. Why?? The rest we are to experience in Christ, was & is continual.
Respectfully Br Mar, you cannot disregard the 7th day Sabbath, stating it's just a day & then uphold the day Sunday. For Sunday is just a day too. Though, Jesus did not name any other day, but named the 7th day, Sabbath (rest).
The change from Sabbath (Friday sunset to Saturday sunset) observance to Sunday observance took place after the New Testament was completed & all the apostles had died. History records that Christians eventually shifted from worshipping & resting on the seventh day to the first day of the week. Why?? In the time of Christ, the pagans worshipped the Sun, hence why it's called Sunday (veneration of the Sun). By the time of Paul, there were more gentile converts, who wanting to evangelise the pagans thought they could reach them by worshipping on Sunday too. Then idols were brought in & given "Christian" names etc. Then the Roman emporer Constantine around 321AD legislated Sunday as the day of rest.
Sabbath was initiated after creation, & mankind was & is to rest in the work of God, worshipping our Creator. The day does not make us holy, it is His presence that makes us holy.

Amen. We are free to worship anytime "in/on the Sabbath" because we are in Jesus, and Jesus IS THE SABBATH. We have rest from working, even AT work. Because we no longer live for our bellies or belongings. It's about whose will you walk in. Even at work, i do the will of the Father... especially when he calls... because he's my master. To sum it up: work is just a part of my life, but it is NOT my actual life. And one can LIVE anywhere, anytime, in HIM.

If you seek to truly love and serve God, Jesus and the holy spirit in full truth I implore you also seek teachings such as those about Sabbath's from 119 ministries, Jim Staley, Rico Cortes, bill Cloud, brad Scott and others... Another vital and important teaching would also be "Truth or Tradition" by Jim Staley.
Any who believe that the words of Paul and others including Yeshua (Jesus) himself change or abolish laws.... I can tell you there are deep contextual understandings required and that many of the verses you have heard have been plucked out leaving verses that add the necessary context to be sitting in the book - but alongside this there is a deep culture and context in the era the scriptures were written that if you lack the understanding of will cause you to misunderstand the true meaning of the scriptures today with Paul's writing's requiring much of that understanding although if you remember it was false accusations that he was teaching against the laws of Moses and see that it should give you an idea as to how Paul has been misinterpreted by the current churches with many going against the Bible's very verses stating clearly such were false accusations.
Remember also that Yeshua (Jesus) actually spoke that even thoughts are counted as to iniquity (sin) and such makes sense if we are to love God with all our heart, mind and soul... We are implored to hold our very thoughts unto his ways and his standards also.
May God guide and bless those with open and truth seeking hearts that desire to love him truly to allow them to read these words here and these scriptures and to walk in full repentance as God truly desires 🙏🏽

The 7th day is still the sabbath and thats saturday not sunday, the idea that their is no morning an evening on the 7th day in genesis is flawed an that does not affect the sabbath because even jesus an all of the early church in the book of acts kept the sabbath/you are teaching error and lies to humanity when you fully know that saturday is the sabbath base on the bible both old and new testament, Jesus is not the sabbath the sabbath is the 4th commandment and a day of rest , now its true that we do find rest in our saviour jesus but that does not nigate the fact that we Jesus told us if you love me keep my commandments an last time i check the sabbath is one of the commandments an because i love jesus am going to obey what he says.
