If we seek to be justified by the law we are fallen from grace - that is we have no salvation whosoever are seeking to be justified by law. Keeping a sabbath day is not the same as resting as God did. People talk about having a day of rest like God did but then go and have a day of rest like Israel did. Hebrews 4 shows they are two different things. Isaiah 11 10 says the gentiles will seek the root of Jesse and find glorious rest. Jesus said come to me and I will give you rest for your souls. Heb 4 2, 3 says People who have faith in the Gospel message enter into His (Gods) rest Heb 4 9-11 says that we must labour to enter into Gods rest. Hi There. Thanks for your thoughts. Isn't the Christian life about being empowered by the law of the spirit of life which is in Christ Jesus that makes us free from the law of sin and death. If we are partakers of the divine nature and escaping the corruption that is in the world through lust we are living in a realm above the power of sin. This and not commandment keeping is the means of living a righteous life before God. And this inner life absolutely exceeds the law keeping righteousness of the scribes and pharisees.

I’ve enjoyed the blessings of the seventh-day Sabbath for almost 65 years. Never worked a single Sabbath in all that time. It’s a wonderful time of fellowship with God and fellow believers. She got a pis of metal hanging on her door. Every sunsets on Friday we all can hear when she bit this metal. Everyone in the village knows that she's a seventh day Adventist. But today, they got a church.

It’s the last warning message to the world and no one was proclaiming it. So God raised up the SDA movement just as He did the Reformation. The 1st angel’s message links to the gospel of Matthew 24:14. Only the SDA church correctly makes that connection. The Everlasting Gospel includes a judgment hour message and an appeal for believers to return to the worship of God as Creator. How? By restoring the 7th day back to its rightful place as the day of the Lord, His holy day. The Reformation corrected a lot of the doctrinal errors the apostate church had brought in. But it was an incomplete work. The SDA movement was raised up to finish the work of Reformation to prepare a people for the coming of the Lord.

I had a coworker that told me he was on his 12th straight day of work. I thought, no way, I couldn't do that. I made sure my job knew up front that I was taking Saturday off.

This belief is based on similar historical situations, and the biblical claims that issues we've had in the past will happen again in the future. If a global Sunday law happens then I believe you're perfectly fine because you are clearly convicted on keeping God's holy day and not a man-made tradition being called Holy by man's authority. Folks, it's in plain sight. It is called sunday, the venerable day of the sun, so it's sun worship. The fourth commandment starts with Remember the Sabbath for a reason. If you need help because you don't study your Bibles, get a copy of The Great Controversy by Ellen White. While this is SO exciting that more people are discovering the beautiful Sabbath rest, the truth about the Sabbath, the Rest that God speaks of in Hebrews, the Rest of eternity, no longer slaves to sin, salvation a free gift and not of man's doings, Resting by faith in the completed work of Jesus--His righteousness by faith (yet obedience is evidence of our faith!), many SDAs do not know this, and I fear for the sake of those entering the Adventist faith losing their way because of the Laodicean condition within the SDA church. I know the Holy Spirit will lead these new souls beyond the self-righteousness, which is the mark of the beast, the character behind Sunday worship.

James 2:10-11 tells us that there is no value in keeping the law unless you keep all of it. This is a 2 edged sword. We need all of the grace of God to be able to face him.

The reason for this is that the law was added to condemn the sinner. Becaus it shows the righteous standard of God which is unattainable. Because there is no one righteous who can keep the law. Not one. The law condemns. But Jesus came to bring life in the Spirit. There is no condemnation for those in Christ, Jesus. Believers are not under law, but under grace; the righteousness which comes by faith.
Lastly, our duty is to walk in the Spirit. To walk in the new nature provided by the Holy Spirit through which we are born again. Birn again as righteous sons. Because Jesus has made us clean and brought us into sonship with him.

Hhhmmm.. yes truth will set us free but rules will tie people up. The law has been abolished by Christ. A Christians job is to preach the Kingdom not Moses. If we seek to be justified by the law we are fallen from grace - that is we have no salvation whosoever are seeking to be justified by law. Keeping a sabbath day is not the same as resting as God did. People talk about having a day of rest like God did but then go and have a day of rest like Israel did. Hebrews 4 shows they are two different things. Isaiah 11 10 says the gentiles will seek the root of Jesse and find glorious rest. Jesus said come to me and I will give you rest for your souls. Heb 4 2, 3 says People who have faith in the Gospel message enter into His (Gods) rest Heb 4 9-11 says that we must labour to enter into Gods rest. Yes labour to enter into it or as written else where fight the good fight of faith. Read all of Hebrews 4 for all the context. So to sum up. The law is an abolished type and shadow of things to come. The internal reality is experienced when we have faith in the Gospel message. Enjoy.

If we are partakers of the divine nature and escaping the corruption that is in the world through lust we are living in a realm above the power of sin. This and not commandment keeping is the means of living a righteous life before God. And this inner life absolutely exceeds the law keeping righteousness of the scribes and pharisees.

@@makermarx The 3 angels in Revelation 14 are “messengers”, not winged heavenly beings. Those messages are to be proclaimed (with a loud voice) to all the world. Who exactly is doing it? It’s the last warning message to the world and no one was proclaiming it. So God raised up the SDA movement just as He did the Reformation. The 1st angel’s message links to the gospel of Matthew 24:14. Only the SDA church correctly makes that connection. The Everlasting Gospel includes a judgment hour message and an appeal for believers to return to the worship of God as Creator. How? By restoring the 7th day back to its rightful place as the day of the Lord, His holy day. The Reformation corrected a lot of the doctrinal errors the apostate church had brought in. But it was an incomplete work. The SDA movement was raised up to finish the work of Reformation to prepare a people for the coming of the Lord.

The 10 Commandments is just the beginning of the sanctification process...The 10 Commandments is WHERE the Israelites told YEHOVAH to stop speaking because they thought they were going to die...and told Moses to go speak with HIM.
The 10 Commandments IS WHAT they heard YEHOVAH speak FROM his own mouth.
The rest of HIS instructions/Commandments and laws are IMPORTANT to know how to conduct one's self in HIS creation to be found living righteously. THIS IS HIS CREATIONS and HE makes the RULES we must abide to be found worthy to live with HIM eternally. HIS COMMANDMENTS are a TEST to see what is in our hearts... WILL WE SUBMIT TO HIM or do what we want to do.

God has his people in every Protestant and non Protestant religion. It is for us all to read the Bible ourselves to find out God’s commanded Sabbath day. It is the fourth of the Ten Commandments explicitly explained and the only commandment that begins with the word “Remember…” Why do you think that is, because God knew that man would not only forget it but refuse to observe and change the day to a counterfeit day called Sunday. As the fourth commandment says “ Remember to keep the Sabbath day holy. Six days are for you to work, and one day is for me. I don’t want you to work on that day. I made the sky, the earth, and the seas in six days and rested the seventh day. I blessed the Sabbath made it special by separating it from all the other days and put my holiness in it. God didn’t put his holiness in any other day. No man can make a day holy, not even the Pope or any other religious authoritative figure or institution. No one can remove God’s holiness from that day. That day was instituted, created and invented by God along with marriage. Sunday then is a counterfeit day , the reasons for it are not biblical so it is anti - Christian and in the final analysis there will be only two camps. Those who follow lamb and have the testimony of Jesus Christ and those who don’t follow the lamb and have the testimony of Satan.

He's telling the truth! Even the world, maybe just doctors, will agree that taking a day off from work each week is good for your body and spirit. I had a coworker that told me he was on his 12th straight day of work. I thought, no way, I couldn't do that. I made sure my job knew up front that I was taking Saturday off.

@OnlyGodsavesyou of course. The Sunday Law is a belief stating that, someday in the future, governments will try to reinstitute the Sunday observance by force. This belief is based on similar historical situations, and the biblical claims that issues we've had in the past will happen again in the future. If a global Sunday law happens then I believe you're perfectly fine because you are clearly convicted on keeping God's holy day and not a man-made tradition being called Holy by man's authority. In other words, no matter the future, as long as we have our eyes on God's will, we will be perfectly fine. No worries my friend!

We don't know how we spent most of our lives ignoring the Sabbath.
Folks, it's in plain sight. It is called sunday, the venerable day of the sun, so it's sun worship. The fourth commandment starts with Remember the Sabbath for a reason. If you need help because you don't study your Bibles, get a copy of The Great Controversy by Ellen White. Pray for the Holy Spirit to guide before you read it, but that book will help you to understand the issue. God Bless your study.

While this is SO exciting that more people are discovering the beautiful Sabbath rest, the truth about the Sabbath, the Rest that God speaks of in Hebrews, the Rest of eternity, no longer slaves to sin, salvation a free gift and not of man's doings, Resting by faith in the completed work of Jesus--His righteousness by faith (yet obedience is evidence of our faith!), many SDAs do not know this, and I fear for the sake of those entering the Adventist faith losing their way because of the Laodicean condition within the SDA church. I know the Holy Spirit will lead these new souls beyond the self-righteousness, which is the mark of the beast, the character behind Sunday worship.

The one danger in the Sabbath/Sunday dialogue is how many believe that Sunday sacredness is vital the human survival, and that should events unfold where the LORD shows His displeasure over sin's advance of which we see a veritable tsunami today, some will insist that all men conform to Sunday to appease GOD. While all ignorant sins are covered by the righteousness of Christ (Nu.15:28), deliberate transgression calls for repentance & transformation through "the Spirit of Christ" whose Presence never leads away from truth, nor the love born of Heaven.

I watched a Catholic bishop take Protestants to task because they threw out pretty much everything from the Catholic church *except* sunday worship.

James 2:10-11 tells us that there is no value in keeping the law unless you keep all of it. This is a 2 edged sword. We need all of the grace of God to be able to face him.

@@FishermensCorner the passage above from James is moral law. I get it. We are all law breakers, in particular moral law. Love the Lord your God with all your heart soul mind and strength is a moral law. Not loving your brother, means not loving God. Not loving is hating. If I hate my brother I am a murderer according to Jesus. There is no simple law that is easy to keep. I believe Paul is speaking post salvation in Romans 7 when he says that there is a law at work in his body. We still need to be saved from all of our moral failures, even as believing, sabbath keeping christians. I will not try to take my point any further.

Hebrew word Menuha , gives us an approximation meaning of the Sabbath intention ! To come aside, forgetting all concerns, with gratitude for all provision in the week, and then be willing mentally, physical and spiritually to enter into a communion that allows us to Know Him better and be Known by Him!
By faith, In His divine promise , He comes and sanctifies and recreates us at His Image!

I am Adventist, but you are correct. Anyone can keep the Sabbath if they choose to do so.
Worship the Lord of the sabbath and not the day. The day won't bring you to Heaven but Jesus. That's what the gospel is all about. Amen.
@kenpolin1227 you can only keep the Sabbath if you are saved. If you don't worship god, and don't have faith in god, then you cannot actually keep the sabbath. Nobody worships the day, but clearly you worship your own understanding.
