Baradul, Baradul, what do you see? I see an angry bear running at me.
Shan Rac, Shan Rac, What do you see? I see Baradul killing bears with two light PPC.
Baradul, you can't please them all. You do you, bro :)
Excellent games Baradul, I have a request. I noticed that you haven't used a Jenner in a video since 2016, I don't suppose you can still find a use for them?
According to how my teammate Thors Hound, arties are for padding TEAM damage. Somehow, he has frequently dropped them on allies :D.
In one game, the enemy team was perfectly clustered together in a small space so I went to call an arty strike... and right at that moment, a teammate pushes in front of me and the smoke pops at my teammates feet, right in the middle of where WE were clustered.
And, of course, that was the only time I got 2 killing blows with 1 arty strike... and a decent automated matchmaking penalty. =/
@@onotinikow I think something like that has happened to everyone XD
You can always tell when Baradul is playing a build he doesn't like haha
OMG that first game I was SomeWeirdAssGuy, the last guy who cost you the game hahahaha! Sorry
Why are you constantly in Override active?
I'm not the kind to tell you how to play but.. It's not needed to be in override always, and seeing it flashing in every video is annoying.
That's my criticism here.
Aside from that, do like the Bushwaker in older games. Always enjoyed it's simple design.
Reminds me of a van almost with legs. Of course last time I saw a Bushwaker, I destroyed it in one shot ( MechWarrior 3 ) :3 Or was it two shots...
What is an "excusable match"?
Anyway, I always wonder why you fire your support lasers together with gauss or ACs as often as you do, especially in cases like this. If my backup lasers don't do a significant amount of the damage, I only fire them if the enemy has already spottet me. Otherwise they are just a giant flare "look at me! I am the one who is shooting at you now!".
Hey there, excusable guy here. Team was a total shitshow and they spread all over the place not even sure if they should fight. Still, it somehow ended up a miraculous 12:4 in those conditions and I managed to rack up over 700 damage. Mostly cuzz when I play LRMs I consider myself responsible for my own locks and I also carry decend backup weapons. It was excusable because despite being a fly-without-a-head team, they were still one of the better teams that day and I still did well despite such conditions. Therefore, excusable. I mean, it wasn't NASCAR so... woohoo!
I prefer one LGR, with a fuckton of ammo --- actually three fucktons --- two LRM5s and three medium lasers.
TNS does dual light gauss way better
JJ, good speed, ECM - THAT is one of my favorite mechs.
TWO Light Gausses. Nice. But only two Small Lasers as backup?! Not so nice.
to bad as of march 2021 this build is no longer viable due to the patch, you need to revisit this build and see if you can still make it work
I got the nightstar (c) and went 4 light gauss rifles, 2 per weapon group, it's fun, light gausses are satisfying, though the damage is not impressive, but who cares about damage when you have fun constantly shooting metal stuff at your enemy's face and watch them scatter.
4x light gauss, 3x medium laser King Crab FTW
I find myself hard pressed to think of when i would want to take 2lgr instead of 3 regular ac-5 if its for dps reasons like you mentioned. provided its not hardpoint restricted youre getting much more mid to long range dps for the same tonnage investment and dont need to worry about charging. Lgr just seems too niche to be of much use beyond being a quirky "different" build.
I prefer the light gauss in so many mechs because of its psychotic fast refire. Especially on mechs like the marauder, if you can group two close together, it permits for some insane snapshots. It's precision damage right where you want it over and over again, and it just pierces armor and pops components like crazy at massive ranges.
Paired light gauss is one of my favorite weapon systems in all of MWO.
maybe if they ever add hags i will use gauss rifles XD
Very impressive, B. Part of what makes the game fun isn't just the winning, but what you can do to the other team. The TNT LG build is SO much fun when they never find you and the range is limitless. Watching guys 1000 meters away wander around looking for who hit them is loads of fun.
Hey, what are those cab ornaments?
Try running the light gauss rifle on the Panther with the ballistic right arm. It’s cool down quirks (plus nodes) make the weapon fire super fast. I have two rocket launcher 10’s just to scare away other light mechs that push me. It’s a fast and nimble Panther with the help of jump jets. Fun to play.
JM6-S has 25% range and 15% ballistic cooldown. Perfect for LGauss. Add a big ol' TComp and it's super fun for extreme range suppression and DPS.
I personally like the Light Gauss.
Disadvantages: 12 tons, 8 damage per shot.
Advantages: 1,800m range, a rate of fire of 1/second, 20 rounds per ton, and zero heat.
The low damage is a minus, but this thing can pump out the punishment!
it just got nerfed now its 11 damage and 5 second cool down
@@perry92964 😒 Fools always screw up a good thing. . .
I liked the second game a bit better, seemed like the enemy had some good angles, but precision took 'em down. Not perfect, it's MWO, but very good gameplay.
light gauss is a struggle
I remember winning a conquest game 750:750, the closest win I ever saw. Still not sure how we won.
thanks for the LGR video! Could this be the build that pushes it into viability, where you wouldnt want a UAC or LBX instead?...
i like light gauss more than normal gauss. the charge up is so short, better range, much shorter cool down. unless you just rely on alpha damage all the time, in which case you are better off with heavy gauss. not to mention constantly getting pinged with gauss just flat out flusters most folks, and for good reason.
Awesome works Baradul as always! Thanks for pointing out that the Light Gauss makes up for it for Higher fire rate!!!
"Bushwaker Light Gauss Build". Bushwaker. Waker. Kappa.
Any way we can suggest builds to you? I have a really fun Bushwhacker that brawls very well.
Maulerauder? Sounds like a heck of a mech ;^)
Better weapons to put on an Uziel because you got JJs.
I give this build two light Gauss rifle barrels up.
I like to pair up my gridiron with dual light gauss with my friend's similarly loaded hunchie. Its funny because we are like a Fafnir that can split in two.
Love this mech and the build you made for it.
sounds like you said we get light cosplay!
Hey Baradul can I be a part of the Metal Milisha
Eheey I was in that Stalker. God that team was full of idiots... they spread out so much and just ran around the map crazy with no direction or purpose. Was wondering when this match would go up because it was a good one for you, sadly a meh one for me because half the team was suicidal :(

@@Daeon108 Indeed it is... ah well... still prefered of FactionPlay or GroupDrops... waiting times on those don't even let you play the game...
I don't care for the Light Gauss Rifle. An AC/10 weighs the same and has higher DPS.
Doesn't the light gauss have a much higher max range?
@@Hylebos75 it also produces much less heat and it's ammo doesn't explode.
I don't know about ammo per ton thought...
@@HGritzan The ammo doesn't explode, but live ammo takes up one critical slot with a 10% chance to explode and can be distributed in minor components across the mech. In other words, the odds of ammo exploding are very low. The gauss rifles take up many critical slots in major mech components with a 90% chance to explode - it'll happen basically every game and take half of your mech with it. Yes the light gauss has a longer range and much better damage falloff beyond max range - but if you are sniping you are better off with the high damage of a regular gauss rifle, and if you are brawling, you are better off with a comparable autocannon which has much better DPS. There's just no real niche for the light gauss to fill besides shoehorning it onto your mech as a gimmick weapon.
Is it bushwaker or bushwacker?
I call mine "The BushWanker"
Funny thing - this ain't a mech that would wank in a bush instead of pushing the frontline.
Personally I think "Conquest" is my least favorite game mode. The capture point stuff detracts from why I watch these videos, namely mechs blowing up other mechs. It is also the only game mode that rewards cowardice when running away can be a winning strategy. That being said, these were both games to watch and I don't care if the first was officially a loss. Eleven to five is a win on my scorecard.
Exactly, you can reap the benefits of "collecting resources" if you're dead or fleeing.
I like how the dynamic of the game can change in Conquest. It is a great mode when you have good communication - first you cap initial points (depending on map), then you go for the kill and tell fast movers to break off the fight if you're low on points.
Sure, a single light constantly running away at the end of some matches is annoying, but the good sides overpower the bad ones. Escort and Incursion are worse, IMHO.
@@Iverald Thanks for the insight, I always like to hear opinions different than mine.
I agree with you about Escort, it never seems even close to balanced, but it shows up so rarely here that it is really just a novelty.
1 question: every time that you say you're taking max surviveability, and i do mean EVERY TIME, you're skipping reinforced casing 4. Why? Unless it's bugged, you're not really running full surviveability without it.
He means maximum Armour/Structure, which is the big reason people take Survivability - the other nodes are useful, but mostly seen as a tax on getting to the good nodes. As such, any node that can be skipped is extra points that can be put into other trees - in this case, 3 nodes can be skipped.
