I love to collage with vintage & antique ephemera 💕 I use pages from old antique dictionaries, encyclopedia, foreign language books, vintage maps, botanical & garden books 📚 Old handwritten letters, b&w photos, pressed flowers & leaves 🍃 😌🧐🤓
This is great! Thanks for the ideas and branching out in search of journaling elements. Never considered thrifting. Such a great ideas. I really appreciate how you journal, your approach to journaling, and chatting with us. It’s like journaling with a friend. Love your channel!
It's so funny to me how much we (the collective papercrafting world "we") spend on stationery when paper is so cheap! Like why does stationery have to be so cool and cute?? I like this challenge cause it stretches one's creativity having to fit things that you wouldn't normally use in your own journaling aesthetic. Good job doing that here, Job! BTW, I am envious that you have a thrift store within walking distance!
A million times YES to this comment Teresa! It's so true. I'm always searching for more stationery when we already have so much at our disposal! Thank you so much and thanks for watching!
Thanks for the inspiration, Job. I need to use more of the supplies I have tucked out of sight. You have given me the idea to go shopping in the cache I already have. I enjoyed watching.
It’s so cool that you managed to use some of the stickers that you initially weren’t keen on. I’ve read Dune, and that quote is iconic! I love how you’ve placed it! This was a great challenge!
When you were looking at the magazines I saw a music book that had Sheena Easton on it from the early 1980s. Memories of my childhood. I loved Eheena Easton.
I like to purchase old mags at the thrift store too. I sit down with some scissors and just cut out pics and words or phrases out and put them in a ziplock page. Then when I’m ready to collage (take a new journal, pick random pages throughout to collage on…then once done start journaling in it), it is funny how all the random pics and words can come together to make a very cool, cohesive page.
It's my first time watching your channel..definitely i enjoyed it😍👌(while drinking my ☕ ) i loved your free flow and authenticity. Of course, colors and everything is inspiring😍 Thank you for sharing your creativity!
I know this was 6 months ago but man I love this video! So good. I feel very inspired by this because I have very little supplies and I just wish I could have all the fancy washi tapes and stickers you have. But this video was awesome.
I am just starting journaling and I'm trying not to buy new I have got a few filofaxs second hand and my local market has a donation book self which is great.
Hello Job, just found your channel a few days ago and I’ve been loving your content. It’s very informative and yet relaxing to watch. I’ve always been a planner but I’ve been wanting to get more into journaling creatively for a while. I saw your travel journal videos and now I’m itching to get mine done. I have a ton a things I collected on my travels but never put it together in a book. I suppose I just felt intimidated by the whole thing. I think you asked this in another video but I’ll reply here: I’d love to see videos about how you collage etc. I’m new to all this so seeing people’s process and the tools they use is very helpful. Like for example what do you glue receipts down with so the ink doesn’t disappear ?

They're cardstock stickers. There's also chipboard stickers (much thicker, cardboard). "Thickers" are puffy stickers, plastic-y and kinda squishy
Cool! Thank you!
I was stoked when you posted a poll on your stories yesterday!! Love this challenge!
Yay thanks so much Saajidah!

any native speaker: What is a trifthing? What does that mean?? i cant find it on google either... thanks for answering ⭐️
Thrifting is shopping at thrift stores, sometimes called charity shops, or second hand shops. I hope that helps!

Yes! Thank you so much @unearthingthegift for your reply! Thrifting is second hand shopping!
