    The really great thing about this movie is that even though Charlie KNOWS those aren't his kids.....they're STILL his boys and he lives them like it. And they love him too. Even Hank doesn't do anything to them.

    Maybe it's because I'm from the 90s, but it was kind of annoying to constantly hear "its very 90s" or anything similar. Its not a 90s thing, it was the script, JC, and the director's choices. Back when it was released the same things you thought were 90's were also weird for the time, because it is that type of movie.

      Have you actually seen the movie??? There is a whole argument between the boys about the muscular one "only" recently getting a 1400 on his SAT's and likely not going to be accepted into Ivy League universities. It also starts off in "present day" stating Charlie was an 18 year veteran and saying he was "the best new officer on the force" in the wedding flashback.
      - I've seen a few comments like yours and honestly am confused that people aren't getting the boys are clearly in high school and 16 or 17 at the oldest. Rewatch if its been awhile and it'll be really obvious, I promise.

      At one point they weren't even sure it was from the 90's. They leave themselves open for ball busting sometimes because it's obvious they aren't fully invested in what they're watching. That's why I'm always skeptical of their little hiccup in the nightmare on elm marathon, where Tara and Roxy somehow mistook the 2010 remake for the 5th one that came out in 89. How could they not know lol? They rented the movie, they can see everything, the year is usually added above the synopsis. It's more indicative of how little they actually care about what they're watching.

    😂The most cringy thing about this is the constant 90’s comment and saying this is outdated. The sensitivity really came out in this one. Just do everyone a favor and don’t react to anything before 2010. This was peak comedy for everyone in this movie and everything about this movie was great.

    There is a cut scene where the farmer that owns the cow stops them a couple miles down the road. The cow loved to nap in the road, it wasn't hit by anything. He shot a perfectly healthy/happy cow. They also make a joke about it later where the cow is wrapped in bandages.

      I guess it’s kind of like if you watch a really old film that includes a lot of uncomfortable racism, slavery, and sexism, or child actors in dangerous or sexual situations, and hardcore drug use, you might feel like it goes too far and that it’s not for you. Then others will call you soft for not liking the film. It’s all subjective and based on our own personal views and opinions.

      @mynameisnotearl4383 The medieval fight was amazing, especially singing the dramatic music along with dramatic music actually playing and pretty much breaking the fourth wall. I'll give you that, but the jokes in that movie didn't land with me. I just think Carrey can perform at optimum efficiency if he gets to act in an R-rated comedy movie. I believe, through that rating, he can express exactly what makes him funny: raunchy, physical comedy. Good try, though!

      That's exactly what I was thinking. After you've ejaculated, the remaining jizz inside the urethra settles and when it's time to pee, that remaining jizz causes the pee stream to exit at angles and not straight. That's why I used to pee in the shower instead of the wall and all over the toilet. Just common knowledge from experiences of spicy escapades. Perhaps the reviewers are both virgins; it's possible.

      The movie clearly stated Charlie was an 18 year veteran and ALREADY an officer in the flashback. The boys also argue over which universities will be accepting them (The whole Duke/SAT scene) They're 100% supposed to be teenagers (16-17). It's not even arguable.
      I also think you and anyone liking the comment has NOT actually seen the movie😂😂😂. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but their ages are referenced clearly (even in this shortened reaction).

    FUN FACT: The scene where Charlie tells the boys to kiss him was totally unscripted. Jim Carrey improvised it on the spot and the boys went right with it and kissed him without breaking character. When Jim Carrey tells you to kiss him you just go with it and do as he says!😂😂😂

    I remember the whole movie theater roaring with laughter during the entire showing. I miss the days when society was less sensitive, able to recognize funny, and not just looking for things to be offended about.

    I'm a fan of every Jim Carrey film, but this one is my fav. I especially loved the soundtrack and thought it fit perfectly. I wish there was a sequel that focused on Hank and his sons

    First and foremost I agree that this movie is like a blah movie. However, I’m unsubscribing from this channel. I originally subscribed because your enthusiasm pulled me in. My issue is that I watch movies to escape reality and it’s obvious yall see movies through a cultural and political view. Over analyzing comedy for its “offensiveness” is a buzz kill to me. It’s the same mentality that has led most comedians to stop performing on colleges and universities. People need to chill. Stop hoping you get offended

      There was a scene where there was an extra in the background in a wheelchair. They didn't pay attention to what was going on in the movie at that moment because they said they were worried that something might happen to that extra. That's what we're dealing with. That's not sensible.
