  • We spent a month traveling in our minivan campervan in Utah during the month of November and needed a way to stay warm (and rinse off)--so what better way to do so than to explore the 5 natural hot springs in Utah! Oh, and did we mention, these are also 5 free hot springs in Utah to visit on your next trip through! We personally believe these are the 5 best hot springs in Utah to visit!
Our favorite hot spring is by far Baker Hot Springs in Fillmore because it is so far out of the way and hardly anyone shows up. We spent a whopping 7 days here and encountered only a handful of groups. Definitely worth it if you want a bit of privacy!
Next, would have to be Meadow Hot Springs. Although this one is really busy and literally has people in it at all times of the day. We did get a couple opportunities to enjoy the 3 diverse hot spring pools in private. Of the three, our favorite would have to be the coolest of three, because there are so many tropical fish to swim with. The warmer pool is cool, you can even dive down the 30 something feet if you are trained or capable!
Our third favorite is Fifth Water Hot Springs up the canyon a ways, often referred to as Spanish Fork Utah Hot Springs. You can camp nearby, which is nice, however, there is a 2.5-mile hike uphill one way to reach these beautiful and peculiar-looking hot springs! If you are capable and willing, we highly recommend these natural hot springs in Utah! Beware it does get busy, but because they are located in such a way (a mountain stream) you are likely to find your own little pool to soak in!
Fourth in line would be Red Hill Hot Springs in Monroe, Utah. These are cool because they are the free version, more natural, and prettier than the popular pay-for bathtub hot springs called Mystic Hot Springs located in the same town. Not too busy and there are toilets, which is a bonus!
Fifth and final, I suppose Fifth Water Hot Springs would have been fitting for this spot, but instead, we believe Inlet Park Hot Springs AKA Saratoga Hot Springs in Saratoga, Utah belongs in the fifth position. This hot spring is shallow, gets busy at night, and only has a couple "hot spots" in the giant pool. Nice to be able to warm up and cool off easily, however, when 30 people are vying for the same heat source things get weird. Come in the morning or midday and you might get this lovely hot spring all to yourself! One neat thing to note, at the heat sources, you can sorta stick your leg in and have a simulation of getting sucked into quicksand!

Fifth is number 1 on my bucket list, haven't been there yet. I've already been to Red Hill hot springs, next is Meadow, and Baker

They are all great. But fifth is so good because of how many different pools you get to choose from!

I loved this! Thank you for posting this. What time during November did y’all visit these? Did you have any problems with snow? I’m not from UT but will be there in a few weeks. Not too sure what to expect.

Thanks!! You bet! We spent basically the whole month of November in Utah last year visiting the different hot springs.
There were no snow issues last year during the month of November. However, we are again back in Utah now and have already seen snow. Not sure how much snow will still fall but the way we are seeing things it seems like the weather pattern is a month ahead of itself when compared to last year! 🤷‍♂️ not a meteorologist. So take that with a grain of salt. Lol.
Good luck with the weather, we hope you enjoy your time in this awesome state!
