    With 3S this version 2 is an absolute beast. And for not too many bucks. 3S has a higher voltage, makes the motor run faster and does also apply more force on the drivelines so driving a bit careful is advised and some spareparts are recommended aswell. But luckaly they are pretty cheap. I changed some parts (the weaker ones) for metal ones, so they should not break as easy as plastic especially with cold weather. Thanks for the vid mate

      Thanks for watching! Yeah I saw in a few other videos o this one with a 3S batt but to me I feel like it already has a lot of power lol. At first throttle it seemed out of control trying to stay on the ground flat on its wheels but after a good while I think the chassis and suspension got used to it.

    I opened the front differential on my gen 7 sport, there was a good amount of grease, and steel gears. People worry too much, take it out for a half hour rip, it's fun. Things are fine when it's new. People have to change stuff all the time. I actually use mine a few days or more a week. All stock, wow.

    This is an antenna, this is the remote, this is the top of the remote, this is a tire, this is a battery, it’s rechargeable. I appreciate these details 😂 for a second I thought this might be like the remote control cars from my childhood that ran on C cells… nonrechargeable

    Racing this one in a carpet buggy track. With the right tires, is really fast on the track.

    Thanks for all videos you do. I am a rookie in RC, just bought a couple of MJX 14210 to race my family in the backyard and WLT 124017 is on the way BUT I was somewhat impatient and ordered two Lipos S3 3300 mAh in ahead but now they don't fit to MJXes. Can anyone measure if it will fit for WLT 124017 ? Battery is 13,5 cm long, 4,3 cm wide and 2 cm high.

    Oh some additional info on this buggy: Its actually a clone of LC racing's LC12B1, Its a competition style Buggy that comes as a kit. The reason why this is much popular than the original LC12B1 is because this is almost half the price and its ready to run. This thing is actually quite famous as a cheap "Speedrun" machine with some YT channels modifying this to crazy amounts of speed, though its probably lying that it can achieve 75kmp out of the box stock it is a highly capable platform that can (and already) broke 100kmp with heavy modifications. The reason why this is so famous is one can try and do speedruns and if it breaks, because it is so cheap, you can easily buy a new one for replacements. Oh and here are some things you might want to look out for:
    -Grease the gears and differentials (you can use multipurpose automotive grease) Wltoys is infamous for shody build quality and not greasing their kits properly (because it is so cheap)
    -Find guides on how to align the toe-in on the front and on the rear. The kit comes with a ridiculous amount of toe-ins out of the box which makes it crazy unstable.
    -If you plan on doing speed runs you can buy m3 screws and plug it on the wholes on the lower arms, front and rear. This will lower the ride height of the car and make it more stable in high speed
    -You can also get those foam tires, its super grippy on pavement
    -Wheel hub carriers front and rear, and CVDs and dogbones are the weakpoints of this kit, do get spares for does parts or you can upgrade them to aluminums. Lower arms too are quite weak
    -The shock absorbers need to be tuned. If you have experience with tuning shocks do give it a tune, if not then buy some spares to experiment with. (dont be like me I destroyed my shocks :( )
    Overall its a super nice entry level kit for anyone trying out the RC hobby, the spare parts and upgrades are dirt cheap and almost always available so its super nice.

      A lot of nice tips! Thanks! I'm not planning to do any speed runs, it's plenty fast for me. I do want to grease the rear differential, I just don't know how to go about doing that.

      @@thebakersman3444 Yup! I've seen some crazy people plugging in a 3s and nearly frying the esc to achieve such speeds. Well it is cheap though so even if they do fry it they can just buy a whole new car XD

    • @davidmellish3295
      @davidmellish3295 2 роки тому

      @@jhaybz29 got to say that every channel I've watched ,people have put in 3s and the stock esc has handled it no problem. Everyone saying they were worried it couldn't handle 3s but cause it's so cheap they tried it and there have been no problems, so that's interesting that you say the opposite. Had they done tons of other stuff as well to increase the speed and that's what causing problems with the esc?
      Cause just sticking a 3s in eith no other mods seems to be ok

    • @jhaybz29
      @jhaybz29 2 роки тому

      @@davidmellish3295 There have been reports though that the new escs for the brushed version can't handle 3s anymore, it used to handle it and there are many people who does it as well. This is the reason why people are a bit cautious when plugging in 3s on these cars. They suspect that wltoys might have updated the esc to not handle 3s or it could have been issues on quality control. Honestly with these cheap stuffs coming from China there is always a risk of quality control these is the reason why there are people frying up their escs (I base these reports on FB groups and RC forums too not just on YT)
