I don't know what it is about Waveshaper's style, but he's my 2nd favourite synthwave composer after Carpenter Brut. But while Carpenter Brut focuses on adrenaline-rushing combat-like music, Waveshaper find this perfect middle ground where his music is too fast to be considered chillwave, yet the motifs are never hostile - just nostalgic if not straight up happy. And his unique sound is just perfect.
Bro my thoughts exactly. you couldn't of said it better, love both of these artists so much and your right about brut being more adrenaline based and violent whereas waveshaper is gives me the feeling of exploration and adventure, like you could imagine hes music playing to someone training, exploring or overcoming something.
His style gives me a feeling of approaching the unknown. It can have this mystique or sort of inquiry to the Rhythm and notes that makes me feel like I’m on a lone voyage in the unending void of space. On the course there’s some moments of danger or risk, but eventually push past it all and having a moment of clarity before moving on to the next unknown. If that makes any sense
Jesus Christ... I have no words to describe what this music makes me feel. It's like missing something that you never had, or feeling that you miss something that has never happened, like, as if you missed the future... It's really weird, but I love it...
It's the sound of living on the edge of the technological singularity, but knowing you're probably around too early to see it happen... subconsciously pining for a future that can be vividly imagined, but won't be seen
@Gregster And it was this bright. This sharp, this drenched in glow and suffused with a sense of the future erupting around you any moment. And it was good. From the textured skin of the latest pager (yes, dear reader), to the shape of a MR2 seen blatting down Oxford street on a hot summer's evening, multicoloured crowds with big hair, mirror shades, and a swagger that could out-chill anyone in the Chatsubo.
I'm a late 80's//90's kid and after discovering Dr. DisRespect, thanks to my sister's BF (I never saw the point of watching streamers play games and always brushed the idea off as "That's stupid" prior) I immediately gravitated towards his character, almost like a fond friend I never knew I had// had forgotten. What sealed the deal as a forever fan of the 2x back to back Champion was the choice of music used for his streams; it spoke to me on a whole different level. I had no idea of the retro genre movement out there. I quickly realized the Doc kept playing beautiful pieces over and over belonging to a certain someone, music I couldn't get enough of.. After some research I found this certain someone... It was none other than the very talented - Waveshaper. Since then a giant fan of your work brother. Thanks for taking me back to the times where life was much easier. Fan for life.
Supa D // No, he supports the artist via bandcamp. You're the bonehead here if you think that supporting artists 'is dumb, bc there's a free version on yt'. Try using your head for a brief moment, thanks.
The best compliment I can give this album is that most of the tracks would feel right at home in Star Control 2. I hope someone gets that reference and sentiment!
Since i´m found Waveshaper on furi (the videogame), im became obssesed with their music, and with this music genre in general, cheers to them, for making this wonderful style.
that may sound very specific, but if I ever were to direct a space-themed game or movie, I'd want Waveshaper as my signature composer for leitmotifs. Pleasant to the ear, catchy and unmistakably Waveshaper. Though, the soundtrack would probably outdo the movie hahaha
An amazing album for your ears to enjoy!

If that makes any sense
I use Waveshapers music for driving, helps keep the road rage down lol
He feels _adventurous_ , rather than aggressive like Carpenter, I'd say.
Carpenter brut is a legend, and also french

Been listening since I heard your work in furi. Still going strong my friend!
Love your name, herr Gunther.
same he is such a talented person, he's music like carpenter brut takes you to another world
Man, Loader really should be twice as long - it always leaves me wanting more with that brilliant upwards swoop at the end. Thank you, Waveshaper
The Guardian is beautiful song! Thanks for it, NewRetroWave and Waveshaper!
It looks a lot like "Instant crush" from Daft Punk... wich is a beautiful song too :)
@@Iroap It also uses the motif from "the Engineer" also by waveshaper... I wonder if there's a connection.
Waveshaper fills me with hope. No other synthwave artist can do that.
Very 80s. Very good
It's becoming lame. Not very good.
Another cracking album from Waveshaper! I've been looking forward to this!
yes
Ayo that ring looks kinda big
This album has singlehandedly cured my depression. So healing. Very powerful 💚🤝
Love the 80s/90s video game flavour, excellent work
Refreshing
So many...my life won't be enough to listen to them all!
Eargasm. Beautiful. Art. Happiness. Talent. It's hard to find words to equal this music.
If it's on NewRetroWave, I click like before I even listen because I know they only curate the best musics.
"The Guardian" track bring to me childhood memories when I have my tree house and I can be there throuhg the day, everything were simplier..
Man, when I sit and think about it, I've been listening to Waveshaper for so long now. Doods, so much good music.
I listened to this album twice in a row that's how you know you like it!
THE NES BACKPACK IS A NICE TOUCH. LOVE IT. THANK YOU FOR THE AWESOME MUSIC!
ohhhh i just noticed that right before I saw this comment. Awesome
Groovy beats. It cool that in the future people will be able to use their NES as a backpack!
Fantastic work! Waveshaper really captures some of the trippier and more imaginative vibes of 80s sci-fi. Music to dream with!
I think this is my favourite Waveshaper album. So many references to Jarre and Faltermeyer. As if they all got merged into one great album!
I like how all the junk leds are glowing in their presence :) Beautiful!
Another album I'll buy for sure !
Waveshaper ♥
Supa D // No, he supports the artist via bandcamp. You're the bonehead here if you think that supporting artists 'is dumb, bc there's a free version on yt'.
Try using your head for a brief moment, thanks.
Absolutely fantastic ! I love Waveshaper
this is RAD
The intro sparks memories of me walking to the bus stop in kindergarten on a sunny morning back in 1987
Waveshaper просто ас в своем жанре, бл*ть это просто запуск в космос!
Departure : Masterpiece
This is absolutely great. He really outdid himself.
Stellar. You do not disappoint, Waveshaper.
Mind Blown! Definitely Wizard level Craft/Mastery to put you on a frequency that transcends this reality...
Decoding Myself - nice Rock Me Amadeus cover ;)
Epic album. Outstanding work!
Very nice
The perfect music to listen to while reading "La Horde du Contrevent" thanks Waveshaper !
This whole album slaps from beginning to end. Wow.
How does he just pump out new music so FAST?!
THE BEST KIND OF MUSIIC !!!!
The best compliment I can give this album is that most of the tracks would feel right at home in Star Control 2. I hope someone gets that reference and sentiment!
Artifact, The Guardian, Desert Dawn, Lets Escape Together & Jupiter are my favourites in this album. [DiowE]
Very good
Artifact is aaaaawesome
Tbh waveshaper needs to do more music for games or movies. They could totally pull it off given the right kind of game/ movie
Have you seen his tracks from Furi? :>
G1 Sunstreaker yeah
More Waveshaper? Fantastic
love that image!
4:43 - 9:50
gigantic 5km in diameter and 10km in diameter rings
Nothing better than getting back from school and hearing this album.
Waveshaper is like the institute.... Waaaaaay beyond its time
Again beautiful Doskpop vibes in many of the tune.
"Michael I am detecting 4 men within the building"
Is that a line of something?
@@DimapeloManual yes... what tho... ;)
Since i´m found Waveshaper on furi (the videogame), im became obssesed with their music, and with this music genre in general, cheers to them, for making this wonderful style.
As far as I know, Waveshaper is just one person.

Desert Dawn is fantastic
Love your work, but this is great work
This album is REALLY GOOD
This is perfection ♡
Sounds like an 80s documentary theme for the rise of drug empires in miami
This album came out strong, was hyped by streamers, but then died off.
Fans are in a long haul.
great album 👍
Amazing
is there ever a time where the wave of shape does not drop the hottest fire?
Still my fave synth artist
Тайна третьей планеты на превью ))

Hauntology based sound !

perfect
Full album! Very nice, come on Bateman what do you think?
Patrick, you're sweating....
I will listen later when I have returned some videotapes.
Impressive. Very nice.
Timothy Bryce, the whole album has a clear, crisp sound & a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost.
Класс. Спасибо
really nice
Sounds like there's a chunk missing out of track 5 at 15:39
Through the transition and that there is static noise I think it's intentional
@@godhimself9396 I come from the future. Yes it is.
Check out that Roland synth on the right 😆
Great tracks.
❤️❤️❤️❤️

Lmao at that girls NES backpack
Prety sure her backpack is a original Nintendo :D
The music combined with the very cool art on the screen reminds me of The Incal.
