This is the kind of music that actually makes me feel emotions. I kinda noticed that. Mainstream music is just meaningless background noise to me. This on the other hand is just beautiful.

For me it's just background music, guess to each their own. I like the songs, however.
That's because mainstream music is meant to be profitable for the sake of profit. The artistry and musicality takes a backseat because there is a label of people behind the artist name that want to get paid. But this music here is meant as artistry first and profit, if any, second. It's not just some hoodie with a few samples rapping about how violent and superior he is. There's more thought and introspection in this.

This music demanded that I delete all the albums off my laptop & start fresh. I like many others listen to tons of music & also stay in tuned with whats popular for the most part, but no more. I grow tired of listening to artists "tell there story" using countless words to describe what ultimately amounts to nothing. This music...this album...does what no other can. Without words it speaks to me..and tells me exactly what I need to hear at any given time of the day,My story. The future is indeed in the past family(on many levels). THANK YOU Waveshaper for this album & THANK YOU NRW Records for being a platform that this amazing vibe/frequency can shoot out and reach us from. ONE LOVE to you all!
Mainstream music is total shit isn't it? I could never really explain to people why I listen to the music I do. From Enya to Delerium, Jeremy Seoul (Skyrim Soundtrack), Paul Oakenfold's age old live sets, and now THIS. My gawd, my collection is now complete. I have a song for every mood, and this stuff, makes me think of flying spaceships into the distant reaches of the galaxy
You might want to take a look at demoscene musicians from the early 1990s (Jester, Firefox, Tip, Mark II, Radix, Purple Motion, Skaven and a veritable truckload more). This music is merely a high-end multitrack elaboration of what these guys composed 20+ years ago on 4-8-channel tracking/softsynth software.

@@AvenValkyr Yeah love this type of music as well as many anime soundtracks like one piece and My hero academia which both have beautiful pieces of music and I love coming up with characters depending on what type of music I'm listening to, super fun to do when I'm in the car or on the bus, I have characters that over months I've just in my head built up a story for and imagined fights and just events that may take place in their life depending on what's happened to me or what show I'm watching, its probably seen as super stupid by some people but its really fun and can really motivate me and with my artwork improving I'm hoping to come up with some full character concepts for all the ones I've come up with.

My favourite synthwave album from start to finish has to be Lukhash's 'Better Than Reality'.
Every song from the album is a solid 10/10. Your imagination enviable.

This album gave me a feeling that I had forgotten. This is what synthwave is all about for me, creating sweet and beautiful dreams, then making them come true. My life is better than I ever could’ve imagined right now. To all the other dreamers out there, never stop dreaming! One day you’ll realize your dreams have come true, and that’s the day your tears stop!
I can honestly say that every song on this album is an uncut gem. So many colors and layers.

The intro to the first song, "Endless Journey", somehow reminded me very much of the intro of "Out in the Cold" off of Judas Priest's 1986 album "Turbo".
