I used your code to start "mining", but I am sceptical for that YOTI part, for now the counter is running, but I will probably not go through YOTI once it is demanded. Why? :
The actual value of any starting digital coin is usually some number of dollar/euro cents. I rather wait for the actual introduction of Pi into the coin market and pay real dollars to exchange into PI coins and not give up my ID details to some YOTI/MOTI/KOTi organisation who probably will sell the data accidentally due to a hack or whatever. By the time Pi coin is really valuable (10/15 years from phase 3), and that is a big IF, then it was worth the few dollars of investments. If not, I still would only lose 20..50 dollars that I would spend on it. I think, it is a waste of time, but thanks for the video/info.

"By the time Pi coin is really valuable (10/15 years from phase 3)" ... that's just pure guessing. Nobody knows the value Pi will have at launch but if you watch the part around 28:31 you'll see why/how the community - including you - could ensure that Pi has a decent value at launch.

How many times does a server of some organisation get hacked, nobody knows the real reasons, data of millions on the streat due to some claimed reasons and they wash off their hands. The hack could be could be legitimate reasons, but it could also be sold behind doors and blaimed on hacks. Based on your response, I guess best thing to do for me is get rid of the app and get off this youtube subscription. Because your arguments are simply not bullet proof, you saying so and claiming the opposite does not change anything. Good luck with your channel.
@@ses4068 are you kidding me. I'm not just saying so, but obviously, I can't help when you have your mind made up and refuse to watch even parts of the video to see that you are wrong in this case. At 09:54 you'd see that even if YOTI would be hacked the sensitive data like the images of your ID wouldn't be compromised.
And based on your paranoia - because that's what it is in this case - you shouldn't use the internet, a computer, or a smartphone in the first place because your devices can in theory also get hacked.

The Pi network chat is spammed with stupid speculations of pi value and when can they be sold... I am just astounded.... ppl want a fast fix for everything nowadays.... cryptocurrency is for the long term to see the value.... if u r in it for a short term, looking for a peanut transaction, pls don't invest in crypto

Well to be honest, there isn't much to invest in it. Like, only a few megabytes of storage and tapping a single button in 24 hours which takes hardly 10 seconds. So there isn't much to lose here. As for me, I'm in it for long term, even if it takes 20-30 years, I'll still mine it. So, yeah.
I start believing this Pi and i will be active member of this apps i will follow my ate(sister) she knew a lot of this cryptocurrency and this will help economy

Thanks, to be fair I already grew my team with previous videos and the purpose of this video was to create a neutral video that deals with all the allegations that people constantly make so I don't have to type answers all the time but can just link to parts of the video and that's why I wanted to make sure to include that part as well so other Pi users feel more confortable using this video whenever they deal with those baseless "Pi is a scam" allegations.

They say your "mining" crypto on your phone but all your doing is logging on once a day. I don't know how people trust an app that lies to you from the start, its not a good sign.
If you judge any business by how they phrase certain parts of their message in their marketing efforts then you can't trust 99% of businesses out there.
Pi Network is quite transparent about the details in it's white paper. Sure they should probably also clarify that in their F.A.Q. but considering all the other aspects I've soon so far I more than willing to overlock that poor choice of words.

The core team promised to introduce alternative methods but so far they haven't delivered any so you'll just have to wait.
BUT I think no matter which method they introduce it will still require some kind of government issued ID.

Hey Christin, can you please explain as to how errors unwittingly or unwittingly done at or after registration? For example I obviously could not give the govt. document name and during the stipulated time frame I couldn't rectify it either. I made requests with regard to thos in different ways but still have got a chance to correct my name.Will I be able to face the KYC?

I can't answer that for sure, but you are not the only one that hasn't updated their name, so I'm confident people will get another chance to do that.
Are you saying that Pi's only source of income is through ads in the app? Or do they have other backers, and if so - who? A naive way to see this is that they would also charge a fee for each Pi currency transaction once Phase 3 starts, did you see any mention of that somewhere or do we not yet know how it will roll out?
If you consider 13 million users out of which many - especially in countries like the US, UK, AU, IR, CA,... - will likely see one ad per day, that sums up to a lot of money and more than likely enough to cover the costs and pay for the KYC verifications.
Regarding the rollout and transaction fees are explained in the white paper, serach for "Transaction fees" at minepi.com/white-paper and you'll find the paragraph about it.
Hi if you verify it with number and Facebook is it safe ? And also I’d want to know when it does launch if it does , do you keep the pi coins into the account or is it going to be withdraw like you could move it somewhere else ?
Some of your questions are answered in this exact video... we will see how the transfer of coins work once Pi adds the wallet function and reaches phase three.

Have a question about yoti and kyc. Can you pass just with driver license or you also need your id? Tnx
Your drivers license should work just fine, but I'm not 100% sure so just give it a try.

I don't think there currently is a name for fractions of Pi coins. Likely also not needed since Pi only has 4 digits after the decimal wheras BTC has 8.

That's fine. When I signed up originally there was no option for "Apple ID".
The only thing missing is the KYC verification in the future.

i have a question, u mentioned Pi Network requires KYC, i got the app and got started just with a phone number, there is no KYC verification for pi network..or did i miss something?
You'll eventually receive a KYC invitation. That won't happen until you mined for at least 100 days though.
